Should've kept the gloves on and just hug it out. Parros like Thornton were good tough fighters with a lot of class and honor, but their day has come. Parrots should retire with grace at the end of the year, Thornton may have one good year left, but anybody who's doesn't respect what they've done during their career and how they went about it do not have the right to call themselves true hockey fans.

Posted by DICKJOHNSON on April 11, 2014 at 06:52 AM

Not much happened in this fight...Parros lost his balance DRAW! I doubt Scott and Gallant happens...unless Gallant drops his gloves and Scott has no choice....not because he is afraid but Nolan has become passive and has put the clamps on the team fighting. Konopka challenged Gazdic and he hasn't dressed since, that's exactly what Nolan has said he doesn't want happening...

Posted by boldbilly on April 10, 2014 at 10:40 PM

This fight was a draw .....nothing lands .......Parros does. Lose his balance as usual......but it wasn't a punch like the moron announcer says......watch in SLOMO ......you clearly see it glancing off his shoulder.....although. That being said Gallant seems to be quite fearless.....I want to see more of this guy......stop voting for the jersey.....rate the fights the way you're supposed to.

Posted by kari takko on April 11, 2014 at 08:43 AM

Parros is still playing?

Posted by J.R. Abel on April 10, 2014 at 10:19 PM

Terrible fight. Nothing landed, Parros lost his balance as usual. Can't give Parros the loss without giving Gallant the win, so DRAW. Announcers were morons.

Posted by legion31 on April 11, 2014 at 03:51 AM

Parros is a nice guy, maybe too nice for fightning ???

Posted by mikebflorida on April 11, 2014 at 09:19 AM

Nothing solid landing, Gallant knocks the Stache off balance with a shoulder shot. Gotta love this kid, I hope he gets a regular gig next season.

Posted by sndaysnipr on April 11, 2014 at 12:28 PM

Off balance fall, not punched as the announcers suggested. Get a clue

Posted by SURESHOT27 on April 11, 2014 at 09:41 AM

nothing happened at all during this one. Don't be fooled by the thumbnail. Draw

Posted by BroonsGoons on April 11, 2014 at 06:33 AM

Nothing landed. Good trip by Parros though. Draw.

Posted by English_Bruin on April 11, 2014 at 11:47 AM

Was Parros the same dude who did the film 'There will be blood'? He fell over but I agree with some of the comments, like Thornton he needs to step down and let the new kids do their stuff.

Posted by Crazy Rabbi on April 12, 2014 at 06:12 PM

Draw, nothing else. Also don't really see why Gallant was brought up. NHL is. Moving away from these kinds of enforcers. Teams need players who can offer more than just a fighter, and other than throwing punches, Gallant offers nothing.

Posted by corja on April 11, 2014 at 03:09 PM

parros on defence and gallant on offence but not much happened .give gallant pat on the back ,he is a gamer

Posted by 87CROSBY87 on April 12, 2014 at 10:04 PM

For a highly educated person you would think parros Would be smart enough To know when the Career is OVER...

Posted by the kid 61 on April 12, 2014 at 05:32 PM

After reading all the reviews I have to comment again. This kid would be a fool not to go after scott. Both teams suck and have nothing to play for. So what if goes with scott, so he gets his ass kicked so what. Also anyone who has fought or knows about fighting knows that the name of the game is hit don't get hit. All you stiffs calling parros a bum, probably never even played floor hockey let alone ice hockey.

Posted by Love_the_Isles on April 11, 2014 at 09:23 AM

Pretty crappy fight. Gallant is a bulldog and Parros is a shell of his former self. Not too many punches land and Parros seems to just lose his balance at the end. Draw.

Posted by DARCY T on April 17, 2014 at 08:52 AM

none of them landed anything.i expected better.draw

Posted by Jellyczar on April 11, 2014 at 07:33 AM

I agree with J R Abel ... particularly about the announcers

Posted by ETR on April 13, 2014 at 05:46 PM

Parros: Whoa....WHOA!!! These skates are slippery!!!

Posted by rocky 1 on April 10, 2014 at 11:50 PM

Punch did shit as Parros not known for his Balance falls to the ice!Draw in an uneventful fight!

Posted by mohanrisen on April 10, 2014 at 11:03 PM

As a Rangers fan, my hat is off for Gallant, kid can throw...and kudos to Parros for passing the torch.

I hope Gallant sticks around.

Posted by Crackalack on April 12, 2014 at 01:15 PM

Should of let them stand back up that wasn't a landed punch, just kind of an off balance shove. I do love the mutual respect though.

Posted by QUIGGS22 on April 10, 2014 at 11:00 PM

Whole lot of nothing going on here draw

Posted by jerry s on April 12, 2014 at 05:02 AM

Parros has lousy balance for a fighter he looked to be in control then lost his balance and a nice shot landed .

Posted by jwilk44 on April 14, 2014 at 10:33 AM

Another Hab bites the dust. At least Parros mans up. Not like all the other divers on the Canadians.

Posted by heyoukid on April 13, 2014 at 07:34 AM

Where's The Beef??....I mean fight? It seem's like air and gravity wins this one!

Posted by TerrorSquad on April 12, 2014 at 07:16 PM

Posted by Mounty in NC on April 14, 2014 at 10:23 PM

Easy draw....it wasn't a punch that landed Parros, it was Parros' poor skating skills.

Posted by Ed Van Impe on April 11, 2014 at 06:34 AM

You gotta love Gallant but nothing was landed here ... and the Habs aren't doing the Porn Stache any favors by dressing him ... hang 'em up Georgie ...

Posted by grrbronco81 on April 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM

MSG Homer credits the punch for knocking him off balance. ok whatever. Gallant at a huge reach disadvantage and anybody who got out of the beer line to watch the fight was sadly disappointed.

Posted by Tony Esposito on April 10, 2014 at 11:48 PM

Brett is impressive, but he didn't "knock" Parros down like those idiot announcers said. George has no balance left and I cringe every time he fights.

Posted by STL13 on April 11, 2014 at 08:56 AM

Are you kidding me? The announcer said he knocked him down with that punch. It completely missed... Homer announcer strikes again!

Posted by kkdowning on April 12, 2014 at 11:45 AM

Good on Galant for for loosening the chin strap as he is required to wear the shield. Parros, understandably, probably was just looking to get through the regular season but he was obliged to accept the challenge. Not much of a fight, though

Posted by TERMINATOR on April 11, 2014 at 08:56 PM

Draw nothing landed period off the shoulder of Parros. Still Gallant seems to be the real deal ... He seems like a guy that would have an unreal scrap with a guy like Gazdic. Love the new heavies with a changing of the guard almost with all the newbs...imagine them without visors!

Posted by buzzgun2000 on April 14, 2014 at 11:29 AM

I can appreciate the fans of the up and coming Gallant stuffing the ballot box but this fight was no more nor no less than a draw. Not sure what the announcers were watching but it wasn't a punch that put Snidely down, just his famous lack of balance.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on April 11, 2014 at 01:49 AM

Slip not a knockdown, going draw here.

Posted by 066987488 on April 10, 2014 at 10:05 PM

Love Gallent undoing the chinstrap, classy move buy the young gun, fight was soft though

Posted by Snoka on April 10, 2014 at 09:56 PM

Gallant is super strong for a little guy.

Posted by thebigbea55 on April 10, 2014 at 10:44 PM

parros need to retire... he's too old now and losses his balance every time... i'm kinda scared for his life everytime he fights.. hes gonna get knocked out again..

Posted by chad420 on April 11, 2014 at 11:35 AM

win Sir Gallahad

Posted by Jez-x on April 10, 2014 at 11:47 PM

Can't anybody fight on the Habs ,doesn't look like it-win Gallant.

Posted by Don Berry on April 10, 2014 at 09:59 PM

Parros never had the best balance in the world and looks like he kind of just lost his balance before Gallant got him in the back. Draw all the way. Gallant is pretty tough for a little guy. Can he play?

Posted by abadjoke88 on April 11, 2014 at 08:54 AM

Draw. Good to see Le Grande Stache back in action.

Posted by bigmike53 on April 10, 2014 at 11:59 PM

Not too much happening in this fight. Big George with Bambi legs and very shaky on his pins. Gallant is like a pitbull and I like what I see from him. No real damage done by either guy. Draw.

Posted by canamrugby on April 14, 2014 at 07:14 PM

Hardest thrown shadow punches of all time.

Posted by bruins34 on April 11, 2014 at 11:37 PM

I like both of these guys, but to hear some of the hype surrounding Gallant, you'd think that George was lucky to live. This was a DRAW. Yes, Gallant caught Stache off balance when Gallant switched hands--thus the falldown, but Stache got a clean jab in that popped the newbies helmet off his head too. So...DRAW

Posted by GSP09 on April 11, 2014 at 06:08 PM

Love this kid Gallant , been watching him in the AHL for a few year, he is not afraid of anybody, Habs gotta get a better fighter next year, Parros is at the end of his career, Prust is always hurt. Wish they would try and get Gallant.

Posted by kimo_coyote on April 11, 2014 at 08:27 PM

Sounds like a Jack Edwards "wanna be" is in NEW YORK......calling that a knockdown punch......what a t tool. draw

Posted by nojjon on April 13, 2014 at 10:22 PM

Draw, this guy Gallant is someone to watch

Posted by JayWils on April 10, 2014 at 09:07 PM

Good energy but hardly any punches landed. Draw.

Posted by Ironmike66 on April 13, 2014 at 12:03 PM

Parros lost balance after shot on the helmet, Gallant impressive againts bigger guys

Posted by pepsigenerate on April 11, 2014 at 10:31 PM

12 quick ones from Parros, 6 punches from Gallant,...Winner George Parros

Posted by Sicbone on April 11, 2014 at 06:36 AM

Parrots with the only connected punch

Posted by d.dog667 on April 11, 2014 at 11:05 AM

WOW!! This Gallant kid is one bad dude. I love how he unstraps his helmet when he fights. Very classy.

Posted by Ozzieboy on April 11, 2014 at 09:40 AM

I hope Parros didn't break a fingernail. The HabNOTS are going to need him when they win their ONE game in the play-offs. A joke to think this MTL team is going anywhere in the post season. HABS-so much bravado but no talent at all.

Posted by mr. puttzo on April 10, 2014 at 11:29 PM

Big George like Thornton washed up tomato cans who are concerned about not getting hit than fighting.

Posted by bloodonyourlips on April 10, 2014 at 10:49 PM

Gallant may be the best pound for pound in pro hockey right now, not afraid of getting hit and has a jackhammer to boot

Posted by ahartnack on April 12, 2014 at 03:51 PM

' Why does Gallant unstrap hi bucket? Close win for BG. '

Posted by slavv on April 11, 2014 at 01:39 PM

Parros never fails to disappoint. Gallant did not land anything solid, but one doesn't need to to drop Parros. Would be interesting to see Gallant and Gazdic go at it....

Posted by sedinfan on April 13, 2014 at 01:17 AM

Has anyone ever given Parros a breathalyser??? The guy has always had major balance issues. Maybe that should use some of those road side tests on him that they gave Justin Bieber. Other than that, it was a nothing fight.

Posted by Stone55555 on April 10, 2014 at 09:21 PM

George is clearly afraid of getting hit! He's done!!!

Posted by rickflare on April 11, 2014 at 01:31 AM

Gotta love how Gallant undoes his own chin strap to start the fight, other guys that wanna be heavy weights should take note of this.

Posted by von_swine on April 11, 2014 at 02:23 AM

Georgie is fighting 'scared' thesedays, and we all know why,..his dome has taken ABUSE this year,...w/that being said, Brett goes after it and clearly isn't worried about having to eat a punch or two to get inside and handle his business... only because of the extra agression by Gallant, combined w/the outright tentative posture from big George am I siding w/Gallant,..aside from that, it wasn't much of a tilt,..although it did say a TON about what direction two different careers are going... #59 FTW

Posted by scorp1on on April 11, 2014 at 05:02 AM

Parros goes all defense to see what the kid has and never gets a chance to get back into it. He leans a little too far to avoid an inbound glancer and trips over himself. Nothing of value landed by either until Parros was nearly prone but Gallant controlled the action right from the start so will give him the edge.

Posted by moneybags on April 11, 2014 at 12:52 AM

I think its time to find another career George.....

Posted by jcholmes on April 11, 2014 at 05:15 AM

Parros takes a knee. By virtue of that, Gallant gets the W.

Posted by gregoryt on April 19, 2014 at 04:04 AM

Gallant accepts challenge.... Not much happening... Parros did nothing to earn win.. Gallant lands one glancing Blow... And the announcer needs to get a set of glasses he can actually see thru.

Posted by endor on April 11, 2014 at 01:26 PM

Gallant by a nose. I like the kid but he is fearless. Hope his cockiness doesn't land him on his ass because somebody will pop him. He sure is fun to watch though.

Posted by devilsadvocate on April 11, 2014 at 12:41 AM

Parros obviously watched Gallant's fight with Kassian, because his main priority right from the get-go was to keep Gallant well out of range.

Posted by hkhk on April 11, 2014 at 01:56 AM

time for the old heavy to retire looks afraid to take a unch or even throw one

Posted by tpr1960 on April 10, 2014 at 10:35 PM

Gallant is impressive, ....George retire now...................................

Posted by The Mad House on April 10, 2014 at 09:21 PM

Gotta love Gallant. Kid was a great fighter in the A And now he has brought that skill to the NHL. I bet he goes after John Scott to end the season..

Posted by snipes40 on April 11, 2014 at 09:52 PM

I can t understand people saying that it was a draw ! Parros the wimpy pussy cant stand againt a 5 foot eleven youngster... Horrible ! Parros make a idiot of himself continously trying to win a fight at all cost. Therrien should not even allow him to play because HABS loose respect from other teams again and again with this guy on the ice.

Posted by SabresFanatic on April 11, 2014 at 02:47 AM

Parros really not the same since the concussion sustained early in the year, Wonder if Gallant has the cojones to go after John Scott on Sunday, during the last game of the season. TKO Gallant.

Posted by 777Big on April 12, 2014 at 08:47 PM

Draw?.......wtf?.......Parros off balance? It was Gallant's onslaught that caused the washed up one to "lose his balance". Looks like the Canadiennes got George on the way out the door......he now just a bumbling goon.

Posted by doobi1 on April 11, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Parros landed more shots, knocke the helmet off of Gallant, but slipped and fell down on his own accord and not by taking any shots from Gallant. How you can call Gallant the winner, you must be visually blind! Although, I am liking this Gallant guy, I have to give a slippy dippy after delivering the knuckle sandwich bout, to Parros.

Posted by staceyb on April 11, 2014 at 05:27 AM

Oh come on. The replay at 1:08 showed that Gallant missed Le Grand Stache by a country mile. This bout was a draw.

Posted by Gunslinger on April 11, 2014 at 06:46 PM

So let me get this straight.....50% say its a draw. The other half says Gallant won. Logic would dictate then that Parros should get the other 50% if its a draw. He doesn't here though. He only gets 5%. So either you assholes are lousy at math or you're retarded.

Posted by Ratank on April 11, 2014 at 07:08 AM

Hey, I respect the man. Unties the chinstrap and all. Ok. Great-to-be fighter, sure. Please, stop the Gallant hype, nothing landed here. Draw and a 4.

Posted by Humper on April 10, 2014 at 09:48 PM

Win Gallant. He was on the offensive while Parros spent his time trying to avoid contact, .

Posted by Great Murray on April 11, 2014 at 08:11 AM

Gallants throws several and lands none. He gets no points for fighting behind the windshield. Parros doesn't want to break his hand on a shield. Gallant also gets no points for getting the lousiest skater in the League to fall down. Parros needs to quit. He has always been a willing combatant. He never was a good fight...he was just HUGE! Chico sounds like a gay version of Jack Edwards. Chico doesn't like fighting or tough guys unless they are Isles. This guy might be tough but we won't know until next year when he hooks up against the likes of Engelland, Carkner et al.

Posted by Hands of Stone on April 10, 2014 at 09:20 PM

draw. Parros careful not willing to go toe to toe. you can see the "nasty" in Gallants face. In watching many of his minor and pre NHL, Gallant has Hands and a face of Stone. Commentators hilarious, if only he can elevate his hockey skills he can make money. This kid will bring a few thousand to Barclay Center on his own. We NY'rs love fights and underdogs. Prokorov will make sure this kid plays and fights.

Posted by Orr Fourever on April 10, 2014 at 09:18 PM

Gallant is young and hungry. Big George is coming to the end. It's the old bull young bull thing. DRAW...

Posted by Leafs2006 on April 11, 2014 at 01:10 AM

Gallant swings when parros is going down, that's lower than the 5th chin on big dogs chin, POS

Posted by 20KenPatzack20 on April 10, 2014 at 09:18 PM

Would say Parros lost his balance and they went down rather then he got put down. If you watch the replay Gallant's punches didn't catch Parros at all but he did get overwelmed and lost his balance. Call this one a draw, love Gallants willingness to challenge any heavyweight he faces.

Posted by nait on April 10, 2014 at 09:17 PM

Gallant the win for keeping his balance. crap and draw

Posted by Jack Meoff on April 10, 2014 at 09:39 PM

Did Jack Edwards get traded to the Islanders? Hard punch knocks him down? That punch hit his shoulder pad. EVEN DRAW, Not an issue here, and yes we ALL know it's a rule with rookies, but having a shield is a big advantage, it's like being in a gunfight with one guy wearing body armor. Sorry king of goons, watch it again, nowhere even close to Parros head. Keep replaying at 1;10 and see it with your own eyes.

Posted by ironbar44 on April 10, 2014 at 09:00 PM

not for lack of effort ,big GEORGE kept the kid away not sure balance or the one shot got PARROS in the back of the head. 10 point must i leaned towards GALLANT .but a draw is bout right

Posted by Biggus on April 11, 2014 at 07:12 AM

Move along, nothing to see here.

Posted by fernben8 on April 11, 2014 at 02:58 AM

Parros slipped. Fought very defensive after seeing what Gallant did to Kasssian. I like this kid Gallant. Appears fearless for his size. Good sportsmanship, no showboating...goes straight to the box. Going Draw and a 4.

Posted by King of Goons on April 10, 2014 at 09:24 PM

I'm so impressed with Brett Gallant. Parros has a huge height, weight and reach advantage over him, as did Kassian, and Gallant just patiently waits him out and then drops him. The guy is tough as nails and seemingly has no fear. Isles play in Buffalo to end the season. I wonder if he's crazy enough to take on Scott.
