Pretty good fight there, Glass's first since his wrist injury. Martin lands more, which is enough to give him the win in this entertaining, decent fight.

Clear draw

Posted by shawn46 on January 25, 2014 at 11:20 AM

Way too many Isles homers... clear draw

Posted by yngblonde1 on January 24, 2014 at 05:12 PM

Lots of punches thrown, few hit flesh..Martin beat the helmet of Glass that hurt nobody but his hand..Glass landed a quick jab to start and a punch or 2 after that...Martin landed about 2 non helmet punches...So a draw

Posted by BoilerUp88 on January 24, 2014 at 12:48 PM

A lot of punches landed on the helmets. No clear winner.

Worst Canuck move of all time: trading Cam Neely. 2nd worst move: Letting Tanner Glass go. Great scrap. I loved seeing Glass grit his teeth and try to erase his face, but MM was more that solid. Draw

Posted by bigmike53 on January 24, 2014 at 01:36 AM

Two of the top middleweights go at it in a good scrap. I believe this bout was even and I like both of these guys. Way to chuck em boys!

Posted by toy boy dan on January 26, 2014 at 07:49 AM

Good Scrap, both willing! DRAW

Posted by doobi1 on January 24, 2014 at 10:08 AM

This was a great scrap by two tough hombres. Gotta love 'em both in that respect. Glass made the challenge, Martin accepted, and away they went. Had martin landed any of those four or five opening swings, he may have etched out a win. But when Glass lands one, it's full fist in the face. Both made their point so I'm calling this one a draw, but a hard fought draw.

Posted by slavv on January 24, 2014 at 01:19 PM

Even scrap with nothing significant landing....

Posted by ironbar44 on January 25, 2014 at 01:10 PM

MARTIN by a hair. people saying too many islander homers here. they cant fill their arena you really think there are a lot of islander fans here?

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on January 24, 2014 at 07:43 PM

great fight

Posted by jcholmes on January 24, 2014 at 09:57 AM

2 very good fighters, each with a knockout on their resumes. Close, edge to M2 Liking him more each fight

Posted by joedog on January 23, 2014 at 10:27 PM

Martin Throwing the most..landing the only punches..very active..Martin with the win

Posted by JaCort16 on January 24, 2014 at 07:40 PM

Both fought well.... Martin more active but glass lands better punches, slight edge to glass who has fought really well is year

Posted by 5fourfighten on February 09, 2014 at 11:06 AM

As an Isles fan I was pulling for Martin. Martin threw more punches but most barely connected or hit helmet. Glass on the other hand landed a few nice punches including the 1st punch of the fight that seemed to surprise MM. Glass with the extremely close decision.

Posted by chl37 on January 24, 2014 at 01:03 PM

enjoy this fight because ones like this will be extinct in the few years given the nhl and its rules.

Posted by retired2006 on January 16, 2016 at 12:44 PM

extremely close, Glass seemed to land a few more directly, and giving some size, a few inches and 10 lbs. Very close. I see people saying Martin lands more, what are you watching, lots of punches missing, while Glass landed 3 clearly, the rest, just wild throwing and missing by both. I really think was a draw, but had to balance out the homer Isle ridiculous votes

Posted by Mounty in NC on January 26, 2014 at 01:26 AM

Martin threw a lot more punches than Glass but missed or hit the back of Glass' helmet. Glass landed a few body shots but nothing devastating. Both landed about the same number of so called quality punches.... I give it a draw

Posted by buzzgun2000 on January 23, 2014 at 11:46 PM

Decisive win to neither man.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on January 24, 2014 at 01:44 AM

Two of the toughest MW's going at it, entertaining draw

Posted by Humper on January 24, 2014 at 08:59 AM

Martin takes this fairly handily, out-punching and out-connecting Glass. I could understand Pens homers voting draw to save some face, but giving Glass the win??

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 24, 2014 at 12:54 AM

Nice hit by Martin. Enough to piss Glass off, unfortunately Martin got the better of him in this decent scrap.

Posted by chad420 on January 24, 2014 at 10:25 AM

win M&M

Posted by kkdowning on January 27, 2014 at 10:20 AM

Good scrap by comparable sized guys. giving the edge to Martin

Posted by 29th_Candidate on January 24, 2014 at 09:16 PM

Martin edges out Glass.

Posted by Nystrom_23 on January 24, 2014 at 02:13 AM

Matt Martin beats all comers--except Glass. Glass seems to have his number. Martin gets the edge this time, but he should dominate the smaller Glass.

Posted by boldbilly on January 23, 2014 at 10:10 PM

Martin kicks tanners Gl- ass in this one ......not really but just enuff 4 the win

Posted by NewIsles on January 24, 2014 at 12:19 PM

Martin catches one on the chin that staggers him early but he comes back strong for the decision.

Posted by gorman0 on January 24, 2014 at 06:18 PM

Win Martin

Posted by xxshookonexx on January 24, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Glass didn't do much....MM

Posted by kyhammer on January 24, 2014 at 08:40 PM

Gotta go Martin here.

Posted by Stinger7 on January 25, 2014 at 11:56 PM

Very close fight Win to Big Matt Better flow LoL Glass is a tough dude and surprised Martin and stayed in there.

King of the Goons nails the call, welcome back brother! I was beginning to wonder if your creepy neighbour had hacked your account and was posting on your behalf.

Edge to Matt Martin

Posted by Jellyczar on January 24, 2014 at 09:14 AM

Martin with a slight edge in the fight ... pretty close.

Posted by bruins34 on January 24, 2014 at 09:32 AM

Nice MW bout. I think that Martin was stronger in this fight so he eeks out the W, but really not by much.

Posted by EK65 on January 24, 2014 at 12:01 AM

Win Martin! Although I can say I thoroughly enjoy watching both guys drop the mitts!

Posted by rocky 1 on January 24, 2014 at 05:39 PM

Tanner glass is no push over but you have to be blind to not see that Martin wins pretty easily here!

Posted by Manunder on January 23, 2014 at 10:23 PM

Late in shift for Martin still got the win even though he looked like he wanted to end it early

Posted by jim_mckenzie33 on January 23, 2014 at 10:22 PM

One of THEE best rivalries in the NHL. All 3 of their TILTS worth a watch. Glass with W's in the first 2 and this one was dead tight...but all 3 excellent fights. Both dudes are TOUGH AS PHUCK.

Posted by sbelan on January 24, 2014 at 08:53 AM

Tanner Glass connects on two solid left crosses that hit the target. None of Martin's punches even came close to those two punches.

Posted by The Bud Life on January 23, 2014 at 10:42 PM

Nice little scrap, Martin does enough to eek out the win.

Posted by staceyb on January 24, 2014 at 05:07 AM

It's clear that M2 beat Glass.

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 24, 2014 at 07:21 AM

I'm reviewing backwards to catch up so once again... I'll defer to my high-priced attorney KingofGoons to speak on my behalf since he seems to nail it in his own intense way about every time out

Posted by mr. puttzo on January 23, 2014 at 10:57 PM

Martin landed the most and better punches, but the HOMERS will vote for Glass.....Pens, Philly and Boston fans are delusional.

Posted by King of Goons on January 23, 2014 at 11:02 PM

Two of the toughest middleweights in the league engage in a decent scrap. Decisive win for Matt Martin. The dude is a really smart fighter who doesn't seem to ever lose; at least not this season. More balls than any Cop in my neighborhood, for sure. And Glass is definitely a badass who takes no sh*t, as well. Speaking of badass middleweights, what ever happened to Aaron Asham? Is he still alive, ...or did he become a pig farmer or something? Stupid Rangers cut him and then used Dorsett and Carcillo as their "enforcers". Can anyone say "mentally retarded GM"?

Posted by J.R. Abel on January 23, 2014 at 10:47 PM

Martin threw more but only landed 1 or 2 and nothing solid. Glass landed a solid right as they first came together, then another good right. Then 2 solid lefts. Winner Glass.

Posted by bberg on January 24, 2014 at 11:51 AM

glass landed more ,half of martins never landed watch slo-mo! good fight though! whoever called these guys middleweights must be a giant, because matt martin is 6'3 about 215-220!

Posted by usedtolikefla on January 25, 2014 at 07:32 AM

Tanner won.

Posted by paddyd on January 25, 2014 at 07:01 PM

Tough call,I think Glass got the bigger shots in. Lets call it a draw!

Posted by mb1679 on January 24, 2014 at 09:53 AM

After reading the comments.... - Yes I realize Matt Martin threw majority of the strong punches.. but he missed a ton of them - Yes I am Pens fan, but i dont have to be if you watch the number connected to see a winner. Glass almost put him down on the first punch and picked his spots between Martin wildly throwing punch after punch missing or Glass moving out of the way.. Win Glass... narrowly

Posted by Great Murray on January 24, 2014 at 07:01 PM

Good fight...they get it after it pretty good. Glass gets the win.
