Wow. What a dandy that was. And that is the reason i get frustrated with Rupp, so up and down But anyway. Good bout but Rupp really went to town on Bollig who is mug, very good win by Rupper.

Posted by dkdan on March 10, 2012 at 06:11 AM

Bollig is a lefty so those jabs were like solid rights for most fighters. Rupp landed a few rights and cut Bollig but many of those didn't land or were to the helmet. A spirited draw.

Posted by nait on March 10, 2012 at 11:22 AM

both got about the same amount of hits in

Posted by BIG AL SECORD on March 09, 2012 at 10:25 PM

Great fight...Bollig early...Rupp Middle...Bollig late. Rupp with the better power shots...Bollig with better control of the fight. Draw - 7 Gotta love that Bollig is so active...great for the hawks and the fans of pugilism.

Posted by JuddWudd on March 09, 2012 at 11:44 PM

Rupp with the clear win. Regardless, we love Bollig here in Chicago!

Posted by ocrage on March 09, 2012 at 10:52 PM

rupp seems to have noticed his spot was on the line when they got john scott. lets hope he keeps dropping them because he does well when he wants.

Posted by Sassysdad57 on March 10, 2012 at 11:13 PM

Bollig = served

I got several good photos of the fight: The highlights:

Posted by Behn Wilson on March 10, 2012 at 02:15 PM

Rupp obviously watched the Reaves video, and adjusted accordingly... while Bollig loses the fight, along with character points, for opting out of Rupp's helmet toss offer,

Posted by rocky 1 on March 10, 2012 at 03:59 PM

The mystery of Bollig is discovered by Rupp,Keep him at arms length and pummel him.Bollig fights well in close but by that time the damage is done.Win Rupp!

Posted by Bullybeatdown on March 11, 2012 at 03:47 AM

"Rupp obviously watched the Reaves video" BS. Rupp got of early then lost his balance, or something. That fight would have turned out different had it lasted longer.

Posted by ferdip on March 11, 2012 at 12:47 PM

Rupp kno what hes doing

Posted by MSD on March 10, 2012 at 09:02 AM

Hahaha, yeah, like Rupp didn't kick his ass.

Posted by mudman55 on March 12, 2012 at 11:27 AM

All Rupp. Bollig asked for it, and by George, he got it.

Posted by norville2 on March 10, 2012 at 10:40 AM

I'm a huge hawks fan and Rupp did great. Like someone said he got Scott breathing down his neck! Bad fight for bollig he didn't look good. Got to be really cool to watch rangers games when they, score, hit, lots of fights and win! NYR fans will love John Scott that Jan sen fight was nothing he will crush someone soon so hang tight! My fill in game in Chicago is usually Detroit who don't hit or fight just boring hockey it's brutal hockey!

Rupp by a little

Posted by Walt on March 09, 2012 at 11:40 PM

Nice win by Rupp over an energetic Bollig.

Posted by DARCY T on March 11, 2012 at 04:13 PM

win rupp and 6...i like bollig's game though

Posted by The Mad House on March 09, 2012 at 11:09 PM

Wow Rupp looked great there, Bollig wanted this one all game and bit off a little more then he could chew. He was impressive against Reaves but was just dominated here. But come on fellas I'm as big as Hawks fans come, no need to say this was a draw just admit it.

Posted by hockeybrain on March 12, 2012 at 12:21 PM

Got to give this one to Rupp. Later on in the game Bollig had words with a few Rangers, including Scott on the ice but nothing happened. Rangers have to play their big line and learn to pummel people. Four or five Rangers on the ice fighting at once will win games big time for the Rangers. Time to start pummeling. Would love to have seen Bollig fight Scott. Rupp knew how to beat Bollig e.g. stay outside. Bollig wants close wrestle type of fight - best to throw bombs as Rupp did. Expect Bollig to be taken out by one of the leagues big boys.

Posted by b.t.wilson on March 10, 2012 at 08:00 PM

Good scrap by Rupp. Didn't let Bollig really get going there. My favourite strategy, the best defense is as much offense as a guy can give to not let the other guy throw. Rupp and a 6.

Posted by staceyb on March 09, 2012 at 11:03 PM

One of Rupp's better efforts.

Posted by tonydomi1 on March 10, 2012 at 06:49 AM

Ruppychow with the convincing win in this tilt. When he wants to go he can unload them with the best. Bollig wanted Rupp and he got a face full of power rights! Careful what you ask for...

Rupp gets the best of Bolliq with a stretch of several unanswered shots....

Posted by Azrael11 on March 10, 2012 at 10:01 PM

In Bolligs three fights we saw 1. Schenn wave for the refs 2. Reaves wave for the refs and 3. Rupp bail out of the fight. Intimidated much? Anyway edge Rupp in a close one as he landed the one solid punch of the fight.

Posted by rugby mike on March 10, 2012 at 07:34 PM

Rupp wins. BB started to come on after gettin pummeled and the veteran took him down. Good fight

Posted by Sev7Stud on March 13, 2012 at 07:17 PM

more punches landed by rupp

Posted by dmatt on March 09, 2012 at 11:11 PM

Rupp in a decent bout. Bollig better learn to use both hands when taking on bigger guys. Could have done some real damage with the right. Not in Scott's class for sure.

Posted by bammer24 on March 10, 2012 at 02:35 AM

Rupp just hands it to Bollig for nice win.Bollig got in what looked like maybe 1 solid left thats it. Made his Parents proud. No chance on a Draw.

Posted by riffraff on March 10, 2012 at 12:42 AM

bollig voters must be the family members in attendance

Posted by tyrone on March 12, 2012 at 11:46 PM

I like this Bollig, but Ruppinator scores the V.

Posted by koda on March 10, 2012 at 04:23 PM

Nice work by Rupp. Had some hungry hands & they fed BB.

Posted by Sasky001 on March 10, 2012 at 12:48 AM

Bollig could have retired a champ. Instead he pressed his luck and got filled in.

Posted by fourpoints on March 10, 2012 at 05:31 PM

Big win for one of the NHL's senior tough guys. I am glad to see Rupp making a comeback!! (Perhaps in about five years the Flyers will be interested). Rupp is the man for the Rangers, especially since John Scott has reached his yearly quota of 4 fights.

Posted by Joceron on March 09, 2012 at 11:32 PM

Could be Rupper's best fight all year. Saw a little anger taking a few lefts early. Rupper, 7.

Posted by bruins rule on March 10, 2012 at 07:43 AM

rupp gets the win in this fight.

Posted by paulinho1980 on March 09, 2012 at 11:03 PM

Really close but Rupp got some nasty blowsssss!!! slight edge to rupp.

Posted by kimo_coyote on March 10, 2012 at 02:40 AM

Bollig wanted it and did he get it. Win rupp

Posted by st. bernard on March 09, 2012 at 10:44 PM

rupp kicks butt

Posted by dapwas20 on March 09, 2012 at 11:27 PM

A good fight with bad intentions could easily be scored a draw however a very slight edge to Rupp for the win as both guys drew blood and Rupp landed one or two more than Bollig

Posted by GreatMurray on March 10, 2012 at 03:48 PM

Rupp says "I know you put one on Reaves son. But he is still learning too. Welcome to the heavy weight division. Get some stitches and will try again soon." Good fight. Rupp took full measure of the boy and spanked him.

Posted by FightsOfHockey on March 10, 2012 at 03:17 AM

Rupper wins

Posted by Bakes923 on March 11, 2012 at 09:44 AM

Another good heavyweight bout here,Bollig showing why he was called up,but Rupp takes care of business, and having a successful year with the fists!!Rupp draws more blood and gets the decisive victory here!!

Posted by tgdangler14 on March 10, 2012 at 12:06 AM

This fight was not even close, i don't know what anybody that has commented, or what the announcer was talking about with Bollig early. Bollig got 3 jersey jabs, which is equivalent to getting slapped in the face. Rupp Lands around 10 hey makers straight to the head of Bollig, and Bollig seemed out of his fighting capabilities. Rupp looked angry in this fight, as perhaps he is a little pissed off about getting a little beaten up by the rookie Lane Macdermit in the Bruins game last sunday.

Posted by Bruthabuz on March 10, 2012 at 11:43 AM

Winner: Rupp, clearly. Bollig got some shots in early, but Rupp finished him off. With a little more experience, Bollig could turn out to be one of the premier enforcers in the league, something the Hawks need with the loss of Carcillo and Scott. It looked to me like I saw a cut above the left eye of both of them as they were leaving the ice.

Posted by DarthQuider on March 10, 2012 at 06:15 PM

Where was Mr. Scott?????

Posted by aaron_c77 on March 10, 2012 at 08:54 AM

Bollig better practice on hockey other than fighting

Posted by Bob Probert 24 on March 10, 2012 at 12:09 PM

Rupp lit him up. Welcome to the bigs, Bolly. Outside of the jersey jabs, Rupp waxed him.

Posted by Jellyczar on March 10, 2012 at 09:55 AM

Bollig beats Reaves....then gets crushed by Rupp who feels the heat from John Scott on his neck.....

Posted by PghBri on March 10, 2012 at 12:19 AM

Rupp putting Bollig in his place. Very nice showing for Rupp.

Posted by TK40 on April 01, 2012 at 08:36 AM

Rupp with the win but you can tell Bollig wanted to keep going. Could have turned a draw if Rupp didn't get the takedown.

Posted by Mr Ouchie on March 10, 2012 at 01:19 PM

Bollig stepping up into the super heavy weight class. Bollig cut Rupp early with a flurry and Rupp turns it on. Rupp hammers Bolligs with a couple that cut Bollig. Bollig, showing that he is a student of the fight game, switches to a closein attack....Rupp has had enough and bails. Spirited fight

Posted by mr hockey on March 09, 2012 at 11:31 PM

close fight ,the rookie was coming on ay the end

Posted by Manc Hawks Fan on March 10, 2012 at 04:21 PM

I wouldnt say Bollig lost but not his best fight, hes still steppin up to the plate every game he plays! Big things to come from this fella if he can keep impressing! This is a bias oppinion tho being a blackhawks fan before sny abuse haha

Posted by Billdangle on March 13, 2012 at 02:20 PM

you're high if you didn't think Rupp won that fernben8. It wasn't even close. Rupp and a 6 for the beatdown. Bollig is gonna have a nice shiner over that eye. Love Bollig's enthusiasum here though

Posted by hawksfans88 on April 01, 2012 at 10:30 AM

I do not think that Rupp won. I like Rupp as a fighter, however all those punches that were dished out toward the end all hit Bollig in the back pad. Where all of Bollig's hits landed where it counted.

Posted by zackd1220 on March 11, 2012 at 09:30 PM

Bollig may fight a lot but he needs to learn how to win a few

Posted by chad420 on March 10, 2012 at 10:12 AM

win Rupp...definately the most improved fighter of the year

Posted by Wooly on March 11, 2012 at 01:42 PM

Rupp landed the better punches for a clear win

Posted by bhamill on March 10, 2012 at 09:10 AM

Decent fight. Some good rights from Rupp openning a cut, Bolig was feelling them. Nothing but jersey jabs from the 'Hawk.

Posted by kkdowning on March 11, 2012 at 04:24 PM

Giving it to Rupp the series of rights from Rupp give him the win, although Bollig kept it close

Posted by HchVegasNHL57 on March 10, 2012 at 07:12 PM

Win rupper def one of his better efforts. I don't get Rupp. Sometimes he looks awesome like in this instance and other times he looks terrible. Very hot and cold fighter. Still like bollig. He wanted it. Got beat. And still looked like he was having an awesome time. Gotta admire that.

Posted by TrueBlue26 on March 10, 2012 at 11:42 AM

Rupper throwin some to see him dominate like this

Posted by fernben8 on March 10, 2012 at 08:34 PM

I see a Draw here folks... Bolig scored a few points with the left jab at the start, Rupp came back with some rights but most were out of reach and not connecting. Good intensity from both. Gave it a 6.
