Ok voters look at the fight 2 ways yes Stortini gets knocked down but he gets right back up if the refs had not jumped in!Second Stortini lands the first two punches on Reid so i call it a draw.Who knows what the out come would have been if the refs did not jump in so quickly?

Posted by Gunslinger on October 09, 2011 at 12:28 PM

Typical Stortini. He assumes his regular position as a fighter.....on the losing end.....again. Gets dropped by Reaves, anybody surprised?

Posted by pepsigenerate on October 09, 2011 at 06:59 PM

Great right by Reaves that drops Stortini...winner RYAN REAVES

Posted by mudman55 on October 09, 2011 at 09:14 AM

Reaves is a tough, smart, scrapper....Stortini is not.

Posted by Riomouse911 on October 09, 2011 at 01:25 PM

RR with another win. He's carving quite a name for himself.

Posted by chuxen on October 09, 2011 at 01:44 PM

Reeves had better position and landed the one shot that mattered, but was a overall a really short lame fight due to the fall down of Huggy Bear.

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 09, 2011 at 12:54 AM

Like many others before him, Reaves exposes Stortini's relentless inability to be taken seriously.

Posted by LA KING FANATIC on October 13, 2011 at 01:49 PM

umm...yeah. Not close, he dropped him with a jersey jab. Off goes Zach to waiver land and a trip to the lower leagues. A waste of a roster spot, don't expect him back.

Posted by filthynumber1 on October 09, 2011 at 12:50 PM

Reaves Tko's Stack Tortellini. why is this guy still in the NHL? i dont get it. the worst team in the nhl didnt even want him anymore

Posted by mrunohoo on October 09, 2011 at 01:22 AM

At what point do you think Stortini will start asking people to go easy on him?

Posted by heeheehee on October 09, 2011 at 02:52 AM

Not even close. Stortini tries the cheap head butt before the faceoff and got pulled right into a Reaves overhand right.

Posted by Gruvn on October 08, 2011 at 11:10 PM

Timberrrr!

Posted by slavv on October 09, 2011 at 02:26 PM

Great knockdown punch by Reaves. And that's the Stornini we all know....

Posted by arctic_chill on October 09, 2011 at 08:47 AM

Zack I think now would be a good time to step back and re-think your fighting style because the result is usually the same...... just sayin.

Posted by fernben8 on October 09, 2011 at 02:15 PM

I had to look at this a few times to see if Reaves really connected...and he sure did ! Will keep a close eye on Reave's right. It may be one of the better ones in the league.

Posted by dapwas20 on October 09, 2011 at 12:12 AM

Looks like Reaves dropped Stortini with a right forearm/fist and then the refs jumped in - Win for Reaves. Predict they will fight again being conference rivals and all, Stortini has to save face? if possible...

Posted by GreatMurray on October 11, 2011 at 08:11 AM

2 punch knock down. Winner Reaves. He is a tough guy. Reminds me of Engelland...Hits very hard!

Posted by Trognitz on October 09, 2011 at 05:03 AM

Stortini continues to be a garden slug

Posted by DevsFan4Life on October 13, 2011 at 04:16 PM

Seriously Zack, ever consider another profession? The worst fighter in the NHL the past 4+ years!

Posted by JELDERSTL on December 17, 2011 at 10:36 AM

like 2 see these 2 again

Posted by DARCY T on October 09, 2011 at 12:49 PM

reaves landed two big rights and he knocked down stortini with that second one.gave it 6.but i like that stortini dont use his trademark hugging style lately as much as we used to see

Posted by dukeofearle on October 11, 2011 at 12:05 PM

Reaves drops storts with a bomb, then chirps him in the box. a W in all categories. I expect great things outta this Reaves kid this season.

Posted by shearer2 on October 10, 2011 at 06:11 PM

Nice right to put Stortini down - TKO.

Posted by BooSanta on October 10, 2011 at 10:47 PM

Try one right hand by R2. Guess home team announcers like emBULLishments. Storts out of sorts in this one R2. So far so good for R2. Have to start watching more mid coast games. R2 had 20 fights last year in both leagues combined, so I hope he doesn't burnout too soon.

Posted by b.t.wilson on October 08, 2011 at 10:36 PM

Textbook Stortini. Ate a couple of hams and put on his ass. I really expected he would be an Admiral this year, I am quite baffled he's played the first couple already. This has GOT to be a Predator marketing tactic. GOT to be. 6 bout, not even close.

Posted by bluesrule08 on October 09, 2011 at 12:00 PM

great showing for reaves. wish i could say the same for halak, but this is hockeyfights.com not reasonswhytheblueslost.com. reaves is gonna have to do this a lot without crombeen.

Posted by staceyb on October 11, 2011 at 07:19 PM

The Human Punching Bag takes his act to Music City. P.S. The Amazing Stortini was just waived by the Preds. Onto Milwaukee he goes.

Posted by bruiser11 on October 09, 2011 at 01:16 AM

Stortini nope he lost. He should be fighting better for his height.

Posted by jmarpantan on October 10, 2011 at 01:40 PM

stortini should come on this website and search himslef and see how many times he has lost. He is a complete waste of a roster spot.

Posted by bruins rule on October 09, 2011 at 12:28 AM

reaves gets the win.

Posted by Don Berry on October 09, 2011 at 06:45 PM

Geez, Poor Sortini loses bigtime again. He stays in the NHL must be a decent player

Posted by nyrhky21 on October 10, 2011 at 07:39 PM

I think its safe to say Stortini is one of the worst scrappers in the league..this guy gets pounded more than Todd Fedoruk

Posted by kimo_coyote on October 09, 2011 at 05:49 PM

Reaves win. Stortini is a "TOOL" or as we say in the West. Big Hat no Cattle.

Posted by brody005 on October 13, 2011 at 11:07 AM

Stortini just don't have it in him. I see no reason why he has made it as far as he has. The guy is an NHL punching bag!

Posted by sedinfan on October 09, 2011 at 01:37 AM

Stortini looks like well, Stortini. Then he plays tough guy on the ice trying to act like the "The Undertaker" or Randy "The Macho Man Savage".

Posted by orr4president on October 11, 2011 at 04:48 AM

Stortini should be in the echl with Rivet

Posted by FHgrad99 on October 08, 2011 at 10:40 PM

Reaves gets the clear win here. He landed the two best shots of the fight, with the second one putting Stortini down to the ice.

Posted by KingsFan4Life on October 09, 2011 at 10:30 PM

Reaves is legit. Saw him do the same thing to Kyle Clifford last season. It was Clifford's first obvious loss and one by TKO. Cliffy hasn't looked the same since. Reaves can drop bombs. Enjoy STL.

Posted by hebs1996 on October 08, 2011 at 11:24 PM

reaves was good last year, wins one over an overmatched stortini..

Posted by jancik93 on October 21, 2012 at 04:43 AM

Posted by brad houghton on October 08, 2011 at 10:55 PM

just shy of a TKO but definitely a sweet knock down. great strait right to the button for Reaves. tough start for Zack

Posted by scorp1on on October 08, 2011 at 11:58 PM

Unless it's just a camera angle thing, I thought Reaves may have had as much forearm followup as punch on the one that dropped Stortini. Even if it was, it was probably Stortini's grip that dragged Reaves arm in that direction. 7 and all Reaves.

Posted by kenmc70 on October 09, 2011 at 12:14 AM

Nice win for Reaves

Posted by RebelliousArmy on October 11, 2011 at 11:41 PM

Stort doing what he does best getting knocked down ... Gets his ass whipped and then waived off the team ... better luck next time .... TKO

Posted by JoMilla on October 10, 2011 at 11:42 PM

Pwned by REAVES @Rocky 1: are you some kind of retarded?

Posted by bluesbanger77 on October 08, 2011 at 11:02 PM

Basically two hits, Reaves hitting Stortini, Stortini hitting the ice, beautiful.

Posted by stlbluenote11 on October 09, 2011 at 09:31 PM

"What fucking happened?" Gotta love Reaves. He will make sure Janssen will not be missed in St. Louis.

Posted by Double Nickels on October 15, 2011 at 07:26 AM

If Reaves can stay with the club, the division should be a good one for steady fights.

Posted by slshbleed on October 08, 2011 at 11:51 PM

In defense of Stortini, Reaves has shown some fighting skill and some pop in his punches. I don't think anyone thought Stortini would suddenly blossom into something new.

Posted by FightsOfHockey on October 09, 2011 at 02:17 AM

KO for Reaves

Posted by Blues 34 on October 13, 2011 at 01:52 PM

Reaves ended the bout with a solid right that knocked Stortini down cleanly.

Posted by cppalermo on October 13, 2011 at 03:32 PM

I think Stortini is up there with Komiserik as one of the worst fighters out there.....a true human punching bag.

Posted by billgoldberg14 on October 09, 2011 at 08:53 AM

Awsome i mean awsome i was at that game and when he toke him down it may sound lazy but it was the biggest pop ever and also LETS GO BLUES FOR STANLEY CUP

Posted by slarrivee11 on March 02, 2012 at 09:38 PM

good night

Posted by mcb798 on October 09, 2011 at 11:30 AM

stortini with the big win in this scrap.

Posted by Rags4Life on October 09, 2011 at 02:32 AM

Stortini fails to carry to momentum over from his victorious scrap in the pre-season and reverts to his former self.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on October 09, 2011 at 01:02 PM

...Stortini will be outta' the league soon-enough,.....take a good-look at him, now,.......

Posted by muskokadangler on October 09, 2011 at 08:30 AM

Ok Reaves handle him easily and Landed a nice right but come on guys....TKO!!?? Dropped him??!!....I read a couple before and then watch the fight and my god ....some are right on with what happened and others .....PLEASE !!!! Back to what we are here for.....How Stortini stays in the show fighting the way he does is beyond me....I will say he isn't the huggy bear is used to be

Posted by Radiotalker on October 09, 2011 at 11:25 AM

Reaves off to a good start. When will Stortini learn?

Posted by Spazemunky on October 09, 2011 at 08:20 AM

Reaves threw 2 punches, but one was all that was needed.

Posted by chad420 on October 09, 2011 at 10:16 AM

Win The Reaper

Posted by kkdowning on October 09, 2011 at 12:33 PM

I don't have the energy to check his fight history, but has Stortini ever won a fight? He is always willing and always loses

Posted by CloweStaubi on October 09, 2011 at 03:32 AM

stortini dropped

Posted by 25Pens45 on October 08, 2011 at 10:51 PM

Haven't seen Reaves before. He landed of couple nice shots.

Posted by blackngold on October 09, 2011 at 05:25 AM

TKO

Posted by Zarley Z on October 10, 2011 at 09:05 AM

Reaves is a legit heavyweight. The knockout of Clifford last year when Clifford was just rolling through everyone in the league really put him on the map.

Posted by mikemark on October 11, 2011 at 09:11 PM

I love this fight Reaves put up, he doesn't waste energy throwing punches that don't land.

Posted by JeanLaValette on October 09, 2011 at 12:40 AM

Reaves one-shots him for the clear win...Stortini looked like an abandoned puppy

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 12, 2015 at 02:58 AM

Reaves cranked it up and Dropped Stortini

Posted by Redzilla on October 09, 2011 at 08:43 AM

Reaves has potential but I dont think he shows up everynight. He showed up tonight and won easily.
