B’s, Pens Go Deep

The Bruins and Penguins, two of the NHL's deeper teams in terms of capable fighters, met last night and combined for three bouts.
Shawn Thornton scored and collided with Eric Godard in an even scrap. The same went for Arron Asham, who found the net and drew with Adam McQuaid. A middleweight title between Gregory Campbell and Maxime Talbot also took place. All this without the participation of Milan Lucic and Deryk Engelland among others for either team. Just something to think about.
Elsewhere, former unsung Capitals captain Chris Clark had a big night on Wednesday for the Blue Jackets, dropping the gloves with Blues defenseman Nathan Oystrick and scoring twice to reach the 100-goal plateau for his career. Derek Dorsett and B.J. Crombeen also tangled for the first time since Crombeen's KO of Dorsett nearly two years ago.
