Simpson is now off-balance, and as Simpson is going down Fedoruk lands another left to the face.

Comments: Clowe and Vandermeer get tangled up behind the play and decide to drop the gloves. They grab ahold of each other and tie up, Clowe eventually getting free and throwing an uppercut followed by a right. Clowe throws another right, causing Vandermeer to respond and they go back and forth with rights. Vandermeer gets Clowe up against the boards and throws three lefts while Clowe continues to throw rights. Clowe comes up short with a pair of two more rights, allowing Vandermeer to capitalize and connect with two left crosses. They wrestle around in close quarters until they both get loose and start exchanging rights once more. Vandermeer lands another two rights just before Clowe connects with an uppercut. They grapple as Vandermeer gets Clowe's jersey over his eyes and they exchange simultaneous rights. Finally they tire out enough to let the linesmen come in and end the fight.

Comments: Three seconds in off the opening faceoff these two go at it. Stevenson immediately tries a quick shot. Barnaby avoids it and they both grab on. Each man is swinging around and trying to throw a punch, but they have each other tied up well. Barnaby tries to throw a right, and then a left, which Stevenson ducks under. They're now tied up awkwardly and Barnaby wrestles him down to the ice.

Stevenson falls onto Simpson and the linesmen jump in to break it up. A scrum starts in front of Vokoun, but no other majors come out of it. Other Penalties: Scott Nichol and Jaroslav Spacek each received a roughing a misconduct.

Fischer grabs ahold of him and starts throwing about 9-10 rights to the back of Barnaby's helmet while Barnaby is trying to duck away from the punches. They tie up and Fisher gets Barnaby's helmet off. Barnaby shakes off his elbow pad and throws a right. Fischer comes back with three to the side of Barnaby's head. The linesman start to come in and Barnaby shakes his head, letting them know that he isn't finished just yet. They each exchange rights. Both fighters struggle to get free and Barnaby lands a right to the side of Fischer's head. Fischer is obviously fatigued and trying to keep away from Barnaby's punches. Barnaby doesn't have the reach to get to Fischer's head so he throws some body shots as the linesmen come in.

Comments: The camera comes in late and shows both guys trying to get loose. The announcer says that Downey had wrestled Vandermeer to the ice before the camera had gotten to the action. Downey lands four lefts on Vandermeer. Vandermeer comes back with a right. They struggle to get loose and Vandermeer lands four consecutive lefts. They then go toe-to-toe over about 20-25 seconds. They tie up and a linesman comes in to break it up but Downey pushes him away and proceeds to land a bomb. Downey then lands about 5-6 lefts. Vandermeer comes back with a right. Downey starts spinning Vandermeer around and lands about 3-4 lefts. Vandermeer has his right cocked and lands one. Downey lands a few short rights. Vandermeer has his right cocked again and lands a shot that sends Downey off-balance and to the ice.

Comments: Lapointe levels Ott into the boards. Ott gets back up and they skate down the ice while Lapointe gives Ott a good slash to let him know that he wants to drop the gloves. Lapointe grabs him drops the gloves and Ott does when he realizes he's not going to have any choice, but the linesmen are already there. Lapointe lands a couple of uppercuts and Ott comes back with a right of his own, but he can never really get going because of the linesmen trying to break the fight up. Other Penalties: Lapointe received a slashing.

They struggle to get loose for a little bit until Mayers throws a right that knocks Barnaby off-balance. Barnaby is able to stay on his feet and takes another right from Mayers. Mayers tries to get his elbow pad off as Barnaby tears off Mayers' helmet. Mayers then lands two overhand lefts as Barnaby is trying to get loose. They tie each other up as Barnaby tells the linesmen not to interfere just yet, throwing a short right. Mayers gets his right hand loose and lands two overhand rights. Barnaby throws a left that hits Mayers' shoulder. They tie up again, then Mayers get loose and throws a right that knocks Barnaby off-balance and sends him to the ice. Mayers throws another right as they are down.

He gets back up as Vandermeer throws a right with Flinn coming back with a right of his own. Flinn then throws a flurry of about ten right hands, knocking Vandermeer's helmet off. Vandermeer throws two rights of his own during the flurry as they skate towards the glass. Flinn misses with a right hook as Vandermeer connects with two rights and then throws Flinn to the ice. Flinn's helmet comes off on the way down and he hits his head on the ice hard. The Kings' medical staff quickly rushes to him. He remains conscious and is taken off the ice in a stretcher while giving the crowd a thumbs up.

Comments: This one almost started pre-game as the two were jawing during warmups. Just a few minutes into the game they start pushing and shoving along the boards and quickly drop the gloves. Barnaby starts things off with a quick right as Konopka comes back with an uppercut and a series of rights that hit Barnaby's helmet. They spin around as Barnaby throws two rights with Konopka returning fire with a flurry of rights. They spin around some more as Konopka throws a couple of locked out rights. They exchange a couple of rights as Barnaby lets the linesmen know to not interfere just yet. Konopka presses Barnaby against the glass as they exchange right hands once again. Konopka attempts another locked out right while Barnaby keeps the linesmen away. Barnaby shakes off his elbow pad as the two have a short toe-to-toe battle. Konopka misses with a right as they struggle to get loose. They exchange rights once again while wrestling around. Both finally get loose and exchange more rights. Barnaby switches hands and throws a left, knocking Konopka's helmet off before the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Barnaby received a roughing.

Phaneuf throws three quick rights before trying to rip Bell's helmet off. Bell throws a right as Phaneuf comes back with a few rights that hit the side of Bell's head. They wrestle around before Phaneuf throws two short uppercuts as Bell throws a right before they go against the glass. Phaneuf throws an overhand right while Bell is bent over. They skate out from against the boards as Bell throws a right and then switches hands, landing a couple of jersey-jabs. They then grapple for a short while before they exchange lefts, with Bell's punch landing. Bell throws another overhand right as Phaneuf lands a short right to the back of Bell's head before the linesmen intervene. Bell has a small cut on his nose as the two skate away to the penalty box.

They skate further down ice and wrestle in close quarters before Thornton gets free and throws two overhand rights before switching hands and landing two short lefts. Thornton switches hands again and throws a left-right hook combination as Vandermeer continues to try and get an arm free. Thornton lands two more lefts and an uppercut before connecting with two overhand rights to the back of Vandermeer's head. Vandermeer finally gets loose and lands a right as Thornton lands another right and misses with an uppercut. Thornton connects with a glancing left hook as they quickly exchange right hands. Vandermeer misses with two overhand rights before Thornton misses with a left as he loses his balance and falls to the ice. Vandermeer gets in two body shots before the linesmen separate the two. Away from the pile of players, Keith and Burrows shove each other as Keith quickly drops his gloves and throws two rights before Burrows even has his gloves off. The two fall to the ice and quickly return to their feet as Burrows throws four rights while Keith tries to get an arm free. Keith then wrestles Burrows to the ice and waits for the linesmen to come in. Other Penalties: Jarkko Ruutu received a double roughing and misconduct; Andy Hilbert a roughing.

Comments: Hordichuk checks Rene Bourque along the boards and Barnaby comes in and challenges him. They quickly drop the gloves and grab ahold of each other. Hordichuk throws a quick over-under right combo, nothing landing. Barnaby returns fire with a right that also comes up short. They grapple and Hordichuk throws a right that misses. Hordichuk has Barnaby up against the glass and throws a couple of more rights with one possibly landing. Barnaby is holding Hordichuk off with his left arm and Hordichuk slides under it and then lands an over-the-top right, following it up with another that might have landed as well. They circle and Hordichuk mixes in an uppercut. Hordichuk has Barnaby awkwardly against the boards again and they slide over to the Preds' bench. They continue to wrestle around and Barnaby attempts a noogie on to the back of Hordichuk's head. Barnaby lands a couple of short rights and Hordichuk misses with a big right. Hordichuk then throws another big right that might have gotten the back of Barnaby's head. Barnaby, skating backwards, loses his balance and falls.

Comments: A scrum develops in front of the Minnesota net in retaliation for Patrick Sharp and Kyle Calder trying to jam home a rebound. Off to the side, Veilleux drops his gloves and starts throwing rights at an unaware Vrbata. Veilleux tries to turn Vrbata around and get some more shots in but the linesmen are quick to get there and seperate the two. Other Penalties: Veilleux received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Vrbata, Michal Barinka and Alex Henry each received a roughing. Radim Vrbata did not receive a fighting major.
