Comments: After the whistle, these two push, then have a long square off. They start slow, Walker throws a few right uppercuts that come up short. They trade nice lefts, then a few short punches by Walker that connect. Fedoruk lands a few body shots, then Walker misses with a big right which allows Fedoruk to feed Walker with a few solid lefts. They grapple and then the linesmen come in.

Comments: During the play, Walker gives Parros a little shove near the Blues blue line and Parros takes offense. Walker looks to have dropped his mitts first, but Parros quickly follows suit. Mostly a tie-up for the first few seconds or so, but then Walker lands several punches to Parros' head, while Parros is still trying to land his first. Parros comes back a little towards the end of the fight, but never really got going.

Comments: The camera comes in late and shows both guys trying to get loose. The announcer says that Downey had wrestled Vandermeer to the ice before the camera had gotten to the action. Downey lands four lefts on Vandermeer. Vandermeer comes back with a right. They struggle to get loose and Vandermeer lands four consecutive lefts. They then go toe-to-toe over about 20-25 seconds. They tie up and a linesman comes in to break it up but Downey pushes him away and proceeds to land a bomb. Downey then lands about 5-6 lefts. Vandermeer comes back with a right. Downey starts spinning Vandermeer around and lands about 3-4 lefts. Vandermeer has his right cocked and lands one. Downey lands a few short rights. Vandermeer has his right cocked again and lands a shot that sends Downey off-balance and to the ice.

Comments: Edmonton scores and it's now a 7-2 Edmonton lead with less than a minute left in the game. The Blues go offsides, the whistle blows and Smith skates in front of Hoggan and receives a shove. They drop the gloves and get in close. They wrestle for a moment and Hoggan throws some rights that land on Smith's left side. Smith attempts a couple of rights of his own, but he's having problems maintaining balance. They wrestle some and Hoggan takes down Smith, getting a right or two in before the linesmen rush in.

Barrett Jackman dropped his gloves and tried to go with a Blue Jacket, but the linesman quickly stepped in. Brewer and Klesla come out of the scrum and drop the gloves. They spin around for a couple of seconds. Klesla misses with a right as Brewer comes back with a short right of his own. Klesla loses his balance and falls to the ice as Brewer lands a late right just as the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Klesla and Brewer each received a game misconduct; Ryan Johnson a cross checking.

They tie each other up as Barnaby tells the linesmen not to interfere just yet, throwing a short right. Mayers gets his right hand loose and lands two overhand rights. Barnaby throws a left that hits Mayers' shoulder. They tie up again, then Mayers get loose and throws a right that knocks Barnaby off-balance and sends him to the ice. Mayers throws another right as they are down.

Goertzen returns fire with some rights of his own. Neither seems to be connecting. Jackman throws a right body shot and then some lefts, once again, they don't seem to be landing. They then throw simultaneous rights that connect. Jackman throws a big right uppercut that misses as Goertzen throws a right that can't reach. Jackman throws another right uppercut, shorter this time, which might have connected. They then exchange rights back and forth, a few a piece, with Jackman landing one or two more. They tire and the linesmen come in.

They tie up again until Barnaby throws a left. Mayers comes back with a right and tries to rip Barnaby's helmet off before they lose their balance and fall to the ice. Jackman starts throwing gloved punches to Wright's head while he is down as Zenon Konopka comes over and grabs Jackman. Meanwhile, Fedoruk and Downey are away from the scrum squaring off. They grab on and Fedoruk throws a left to start things off. They wrestle around before Fedoruk gets his right free and throws an uppercut and a right cross with Downey returning fire with two rights as Fedoruk slips to the ice, bringing Downey with him. They get back on their feet and grapple for a bit until Fedoruk gets his left free and nails Downey as Downey is throwing a right. Downey collapses to the ice as Fedoruk holds him up, keeping his head from hitting the ice. Other Penalties: Barret Jackman received a triple roughing.

Konopka goes down to a knee for a moment and gets back up before Jackman throws two short rights and an uppercut as Konopka returns fire with a right. Jackman throws another right to the back of Konopka's head before the linesmen step in.

They wrestle around for a bit with Fedoruk getting his right hand free and connecting with a right to the back of Walker's head. Fedoruk comes back with a left and the two start exchanging numerous punches: Fedoruk with lefts, Walker with rights, as Fedoruk gets the better of the exchange. Fedoruk ties up Walker's right hand and attempts a locked-out left as the two wrestle around some more. Fedoruk connects with two lefts to the side of Walker's head as Walker goes down to his knees. Fedoruk switches hands and lands a right as Walker just holds on. Fedoruk throws another right as Walker grazes Fedoruk with a big right that knocks Walker off-balance and to the ice. Janssen switches hands and lands two lefts while they are spinning. Jackman finally gets free and lands two rights to the back of Janssen's head as a Janssen right is blocked. Jackman gets Janssen up against the glass and throws a flurry of overhand rights and body shots with some landing. Janssen then throws three rights and an uppercut that come just short of the target. Jackman lands 4-5 lefts to the back of Janssen's helmet before the linesmen come in to separate the two. Jackman throws a right body shot with Janssen returning fire with a right while the linesmen are in between the two. Other Penalties: Aaron Downey received a misconduct.

Jackman throws two more rights before losing his balance and falling to the ice. Iginla throws a couple of rights while Jackman is falling.

Comments: Behind the play, McCarty gives Walker a shot from behind before the two drop the gloves and square off. McCarty grabs ahold of Walker and two throws two lefts that actually block the right hands of Walker. The two go toe-to-toe with short punches for a moment: McCarty with lefts; Walker with rights before McCarty loses his balance and goes down to a knee. Walker lands two rights to the back of McCarty's helmet as he returns to his feet. Walker then throws five rights and McCarty answers with two lefts and then the two start to grapple. Walker gets free and throws a flurry of five rights as McCarty tries to duck away from the punches. The two tie up and wrestle around to get loose. Walker then lands a short right to the side of McCarty's head. They wrestle around some more as Walker misses with a right over the top before pushing McCarty down to the ice.

Comments: Antti Laaksonen hits Dennis Wideman along the boards as the buzzer sounds to end the second period. Players gather and McCormick and Jackman grab ahold of each other, drop the gloves and break away from the pack. McCormick starts things off by throwing about four rights, the first possibly connecting with Jackman leaning away from the rest. They grapple a bit and then Jackman throws a couple of right body shots. McCormick responsds with a right that comes up short. Jackman then throws a bit overhand right that McCormick gets under. McCormick immediately throws a left that catches Jackman in the shoulder, and follows up with another left that Jackman gets under. The skate and grapple some more, each player tossing a shot that doesn't reach its target. Jackman throws a couple of more body shots and then goes up top with a right that gets a little high, but knocks McCormick's helmet off, as it was already half off. Jackman continues with the right and McCormicks responds with a good left. They each toss another shot that doesn't quite make it and it's apparent they're tired. They start to grapple once more and the linesmen come in to break it up.

Comments: Glumac tries to take out Craig Conroy along the boards as Kostopoulos immediately goes after him. Kostopoulos gives Glumac a cross check to the back as Glumac turns around and they get the sticks up before dropping the gloves in front of the Kings' net. They tie up and Kostopoulos rips Glumac's helmet off and then Glumac pushes Kostopoulos into the boards. They grapple as Kostopoulos tries desperately to get an arm free before losing his balance and going down to a knee, allowing Glumac to lands two rights that knock Kostopoulos' helmet off and then both fall to the ice and the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Kostopoulos received a roughing.

The two grapple some more with Glumac attempting two locked-out overhand rights before the linesmen step in.

Shelley immediately grabs ahold of Boulerice and both players grapple for position. Shelley gets Boulerice turned around and connects with three overhand rights to the back of Boulerice's helmet. Boulerice goes down to his knees, allowing Shelley to land two more rights while Boulerice is trying to return to his feet. Shelley then lands two right crosses and gets Boulerice's jersey up and over his head. Shelley throws a short right and the linesmen quickly come in. Boulerice starts throwing lefts through the linesmen, only to be tackled to the ice by one of them.

Woywitka throws a right of his own, allowing Tootoo to switch hands and throw a left while Woywitka tries to bend over and avoid the punch. Tootoo throws a right before switching hands and throwing a flurry of six lefts, the majority of them landing. Tootoo throws another right before unleashing another flurry of multiple rights while Woywitka tries to move away from the punches. Tootoo lands a short right while the two are in close and once again switches hands to land four more lefts. Woywitka returns fire with two rights before getting turned around, allowing Tootoo to land a few rabbit punches. Tootoo throws another left before the two get in tight and allow the linesmen to intervene.

Comments: Peter Cajanek and Shea Weber get tangled up behind the net with Witt skating over to check things out. Walker skates over and shoves Witt as the two drop the gloves and tie up. They exchange right hands before wrestling up against the glass while the rest of the players on the ice gather around Cajanek and Weber. Witt throws a couple of rabbit punches that knock Walker's helmet off. Walker throws six rights and a body shot, with some connecting, while Witt bobs his head away from the punches and throws a right cross. Walker goes down to a knee, allowing Witt to land two punches to the back of Walker's head. Witt then tries a left uppercut while Walker is bent over. Walker stands up straight and throws a few overhand rights before the linesmen come in. Other Penalties: Peter Cajanek received a high sticking and roughing; Shea Weber a roughing.

Mayers gets loose and then throws two rights before they fall to the ice.
