Witt is in the box after a hit on Jason Blake. He gets out of the box and Asham is on the ice. Asham finds him and the gloves fly. They square off and Witt moves in to grab on while Asham throws a punch. They tangle and quickly go down. Witt throws a right while they're on the ice and they get up and start throwing punches, Asham with the right, Witt with the left, but the linesmen have already moved in to break it up.

The two meet up just over the circle. Blake gives a hard, two-handed push to Clymer's chest. Clymer immediately drops the gloves and grabs on. Blake ties up and tries to bury his head in Clymer's chest. Clymer begins to pump the rights into Blake's head and the linesmen jump in quick. Blake skates away with a good cut on the bridge of his nose and blood coming from his nose. Other Penalties: Blake received a slashing.

With the Flyers up 5-1, Godard and Brashear meet in the neutral zone. Godard grabs a hold of Brashear and catches him with a few good rights. Brashear gets in close and gets the left going. Godard answers back with a few more good rights. Brash then throws two thundering lefts. Godard returns fire with three or four rights, connecting. Brashear gets the left going again and Godard loses his balance and falls on Brashear. Brashear leaves the ice with a cut above his left eye.

They come together behind the play and drop the gloves. They grab on and exchange right hands. McGrattan gets Godard's jersey in his face and lands a right that knocks Godard's helmet off. Godard shakes off his elbow pad and throws two rights as McGrattan returns fire with a right of his own. They wrestle around for a bit as Godard rips McGrattan's helmet off. They get loose and exhange right hands before McGrattan throws an uppercut and right hook combination. Godard ducks under another McGrattan right and throws a left. McGrattan responds with 4-5 rights and an uppercut as Godard throws a right during the exchange. McGrattan throws two more rights as Godard switches hands and ducks under another McGrattan right. McGrattan throws two more rights as Godard just holds on. Finally the two stand there until the linesmen come in and break things up.

They drop the gloves immediately after a Brad Lukowich goal. The camera shows them tied up as Godard throws three rights, the last one knocking Langdon's helmet off. Godard lands another right before they tie up again. Godard gets his right free and throws a nice uppercut and a strong right. Langdon finally gets an arm loose as Godard comes over the top with a right. Langdon lands a quick left that catches Godard off-guard. Godard tries to throw some rights, but Langdon has him tied up. Both players miss with a right as Langdon lands a couple of jersey-jabs. Both players exchange rights and then just hold on until the linesmen come in.

Cairns gives Godard a shove as Godard is skating back up ice. They talk for a little bit and decide to drop the gloves and square off. They grab on as Cairns lands two jersey-jabs before Godard misses with a flurry of locked out rights. Godard then lands a number of jersey-jabs of his own on Cairns. They exchange right hands before Cairns throws about 8-9 rights with Godard returning fire in the form of two left hooks as Cairns is still throwing. They exchange more punches before Godard lands an overhand right that causes Cairns to stop throwing. They pause for a moment and begin throwing again, Godard with uppercuts and rights; Cairns with rights and jersey-jabs. They exchange punches before tiring out and ending the fight themselves as the linesmen come in as escorts.

Godard throws a right and the two start exchanging big right hands. McGrattan lands a jersey-jab and a right cross as Godard comes back with a right of his own before they start exchanging rights again, with McGrattan's helmet being knocked off in the process. McGrattan misses a right allowing Godard to throw two quick rights before McGrattan returns fire with rights. Godard throws a number of jersey-jabs while McGrattan continues to throw rights. Godard lands a hard jersey-jab before they throw a couple right hands each. After this short exchange they are visibly exhausted and the linesmen come in to break things up.

Colley gets back up and tries to wrestle Malhotra to the ice, but can't quite get his feet off the ice. Colley throws a couple of lefts before Malhotra slams him to the ice.

Cody McCormick skates over to Godard and gives him a slash to get him to go, but May comes skating in fast and Godard drops his gloves to go with an already gloveless May. They grab on and Godard throws a quick 4-5 rights, all landing to the side of May's head. They grapple a bit and exchange punches that don't land. May throws a right that misses and Godard counters with two rights that land. Godard waits, throws a couple of more rights, shakes off the elbow pad sticks with the right for a couple of more shots. May goes to switch to the left and when he does he opens himself up for a big right hand from Godard. They grapple a bit more and May tries to sneak in a right. Godard counters with a couple of more big shots that snap May's head back. They then hold on for the linesmen to come in. Both skaters skate a way with a smile. Other Penalties: Cody McCormick received a slashing.

They start to exchange right hands again with both players are mixing in a couple of jersey-jabs. McGrattan then throws two rights with Godard landed a body shot as McGrattan's helmet comes off. McGrattan throws a few jersey-jabs and rights as Godard tries to shake his elbow pad off. They go back and forth with jersey-jabs and rights as Godard almost falls to the ice at one point. Godard keeps his balance and throws a jersey-jab before the linesmen come in.

They wrestle around as Godard lands a quick right with Simon returning fire with 6-7 lefts as he tries to keep his balance; a few of the punches connect. Simon connects with another left as Godard throws two rights that knock Simon off-balance and to the ice with Godard on top.

Colley falls and drops the gloves with Bieska as soon as he returns to his feet. Colley throws a gloved right and two right crosses as Bieska throws four quick lefts with one or two landing. The two then go toe-to-toe with punches: Bieska with rights, Colley with lefts. Colley throws a left as he buries his head in Bieska's chest. Bieska throws a right and tries to get Colley's jersey over his head as Colley goes down to his knees. Bieska throws a couple of rights to the back of a kneeling Colley before the linesmen intervene.

Colley then throws an overhand right and a short left before Richmond goes down to his knees, causing the linesmen to quickly move in.

Orr misses with a right that Godard ducks under as the two wrestle around for a bit. Orr throws two rights and a jersey-jab before missing with a right. They exchange right hands once again before Godard lands a jersey-jab and Orr falls back, bringing Godard with him, ending the fight. Godard skates off with a bloody nose.

They each throw a couple of more jersey-jabs as Asham lands another right while Janssen waits for an opening. Asham throws two more rights and a jersey-jab before the two go back and forth with rights for a short while. Asham connects with two short lefts before the two exchange rights once more for an extended period of time. Janssen then connects with three straight rights before the two throw simultaneous rights. Asham then pushes Janssen to the ice and the linesmen come in.

The two yap some more before Janssen throws a jersey-jab and a right while Erskine connects with a right cross. Erskine then throws two uppercuts as the linesmen come in and break up the long bout.

Janssen then throws six overhand rights, connecting with four of them while Erskine tries to duck away from the punches. Erskine throws two short uppercuts as Janssen connects with two more rights to the side of Erskine's head. Erskine throws a wide right just as the linesmen come in and break things up. Other Penalties: Erskine received an instigator and misconduct.

Gill throws two rights as Godard throws a right and tries to shake his elbow pad off. Godard loses his balance and goes down to his knees before getting back up and throwing a short right. Gill connects with a right cross and then the two exchange right hands. Godard throws a jersey-jab and an uppercut for good measure. Gill pulls Godard around by his jersey before throwing a right. They wrestle around some more and Godard lands a right before Gill knocks Godard's helmet off with some left jabs. Godard rips Gill's helmet off and then Gill gets Godard bent over and wrestles him to the ice. Other Penalties: Wayne Primeau received a hooking.

The puck is dumped into the Islanders' zone and Denis Grebeshkov goes back for it, gets low, and Boulton gives him a push. Grebeshkov goes sliding into the boards and Godard goes right after Boulton. Boulton's ready for him, drops the gloves immediately, and the two tie up. Boulton gets in two rights while Godard is attempting to get his right arm free. They're tugging at each other, Godard still trying to get loose, and Boulton gets in a couple of uppercut-like rights. Godard then responds with a few rights of his own. Godard comes up short with a straight right and Boulton follows-up with two good, long, right uppercuts. Godard throws an overhand right and Boulton responds with another uppercut. The two exchange a few more right hands: Godard sticking up top, possibly landing, and Boulton effectively mixing it up, going under and over with his punches. The two are then tired out and wait for the linesmen to come in. Other Penalties: Godard received an instigator and misconduct.

Godard turns around to face Komisarek and Komisarek drops his gloves and grabs ahold of Godard while Godard keeps his gloves on and doesn't let go of his stick. They're over by the boards now and Komisarek feeds Godard about six rights while Godard covers up. The linesmen then move in to stop it. Other Penalties: Komisarek received an instigator, misconduct and game misconduct; Godard a roughing. Eric Godard did not receive a fighting major.

Orr misses with an uppercut before throwing a flurry of three rights, one of them connecting and sending Godard quickly to the ice.

The two go back and forth with rights before Bouchard is able to grabs Richards right arm, preventing him from throwing. Richards gets free and throws an uppercut followed by two rights. Bouchard attempts a locked-out right that misses the target, allowing Richards to switch hands and throw a flurry of left hooks and uppercuts. Richards pushes Bouchard against the bench and throws a body shot-overhand right-uppercut combination while Bouchard fights to get loose. Richards then switches hands and connects with one final left before the linesmen decide that it's time to end the fight, grabbing the two while they fall to the ice.
