What you might expect
when someone named Powe fights someone named Maxim.

Props to both for the mutual lid toss,
despite Lapierre's overall despicableness.

The Flyers absolutely hate Lapierre so the improved fighter Powe gets a case of Tastykakes for punching him out. Carey Price had the Flyers' number last night with a spectacular game in goal.

Quick fight...all Powe.
The difference in the win was how they engaged.
Powe was able to get a firm grip immediately , where as Lapierre was too hesitant and lost out.
Refs should have let them go more...

i think lapierre maaayyyyybe could have come back from that if powe let him back up, but he never had a chance, so as it is, this was all powe.

This is a classic example of what will happen to you if you step up and you've got nothing. Max Lapierre is a big mouth with nothing to back it up. When you lose to a guy with 7 career NHL fights, you should stop fighting. If you're going to "defend" your teammates after two clean hits and get your a$$ kicked, you should just hang'em up. Especially in front of your hometown crowd. Embarrassing for Lapierre, and Sc-Hab fans everywhere. The return match on Monday night should be delicious for Flyer fans. And you never know, maybe Max Lapierre will take a big gamble and go up a weight class..............I hear Danny Briere and/or Claude Giroux are possible opponents. Hang'em up Max, Hang'em up!

Good fake by Powe to draw MLP out and get the preferred grip. All over at that point. Not much of a fight but decisive.

Lappy tried to intimidate Powe with that fight stance in the beginning but he wasnt fooling anyone.
