i watched it a few times and think it was close....they both landed a two nice punches.....Hordi didn't land with the right but i believe a nice short left was the punch that landed on Stortint's button and opened him up....Zack also landed on his 2nd and 4th punches (he threw 5) his best was his 4th punch that landed at the 13 second mark...it was tough to see but a short quick punch that connected nicely as Hordi straitened up that appeared to land on the chin and swing the fight

this was pretty close bout both boys got in a couple of good punches

Good scrap. Stortini took one on the beak. Hordichuk was throwing bombs. Stortini will never be short on dance partners because he has been beaten so many times.

Looked pretty even but I will give it to Hordi on nothing more than the blood factor. Hordi used to clearly dominate Stortini and Shelley when he was with the Preds. Not so any more. Like I said before, his opponents are probably legitimately mad when he fights now with a thug (O'Brien) and chump (Burrows) team like the Canucks.

Called it a draw. As Dave Brown commented, I too have been very unimpressed with Hordi since his arrival in Vancouver. Granted he usually is giving up a few inches, but always seems to be manhandled and never controls the fight (even this one a bit). For comparison Thornton in Bos is pretty much the same size and fares much better.

As for woosh - since when is a guy 6' 4" and over 220 considered a middleweight? Yeah there is a couple of monsters out there , but Stortini is a heavyweight, just not very good at it. Kind of makes what Domi used to do all the more impressive considering he was only around 5'9".

Hordi's fights are always entertaining but his style is uneffective. he often falls. if he kept his ballance against Stortini he could win easy.
but still edge to him . you're bleeding = you've lost.

Darcy needed this one badly and baby was he aggressive exploding with the first bombs and also "broke" the nose on Stortini... Stortini did survive though and took over the fight in the end and did well. Still win for Hordi!

Was I watching the same fight as some of you? Win Stortini? What? I think the fact that mcb789 with his tired act, saying that Stortini won, is enough to tell the rest of the normal population that Hordichuk won that fight.
He was the only guy that landed any significant punches at all, and Stortini had to go to the room for repairs. He didn't start bleeding from falling to the ice! Give me a break. How in the hell does that happen when he fell on top of Hordichuk after Hordi lost his balance...again? And there was already blood on the ice by that time.
I'm a huge Canuck fan but I also call em like I see em and I've been disappointed in Hordi since we signed him but I guess he's better than what we had before when that idiot Nonis was the GM. Maybe I was expecting too much but he swings wildly, loses his balance quite often and doesn't seem to have the wheels that a smaller guy should have. On the other hand, he's a great teamate and it takes huge balls to be as small as he is and still stand in there with the leagues heavyweights when you're constantly giving up 3-6 inches and 20-50 pounds. Rumour has it that the Canucks are interested in acquiring a legit HW and if that happens and if Rypien can get/stay healthy, it could be the end of Hordi's days in Vancouver.

Both of these guys were throwing to hurt thier opponent. Hordichuk has looked bad this year and wanted a good show. Stortini is starting to show signs that he can punch and not just grapple. Win Hordichuk by the slightest of margins.

I'm not sure, but I'm guessing the first bomb Hordy threw did the damage. Not too many punches landing flush. Slight edge to Darcy.

Close fight , but ..you have take a punch as well as give one to call your self a fighter , so i'dd give stortini the edge on this one for that one.

Edge Stortini.
Both tough dudes with Hordi usually on top.
At one time OHL's most feared vs. WHL's toughest could go either way guys.
Canucks fans talking trash about their boy just because Storts had a good fight against him is weak.
Hordichuk would hand that Rypien a beating and can bang with the big boys all day long. Let's see what Ripper can do against a McGrattan, parros, or the like?! Didn't think so.
