"Matt Carkner is really starting to get into this “fan favourite” thing he’s carving for himself. After 1-2-3 punching Thrashers tough guy Eric Bolton to the ice, Carkner stood in the penalty box with arms raised to the rafters, generating yet another cheer from the faithful. Awesome ... Carkner came within a couple of inches of joining the NHL’s defenceman goal-scoring leaders when his blast from the point clanked the pipe next to Pavelec"

Should he retire after he kicked his arse in 2010. That was a beat down on Carkner.
