In the Devils' zone Russell and Simpson drop the gloves, quickly latching on and firing rights at one another. They throw three each, when Russell decides to switch to the left. Unfortunately for him, this allows Simpson an unhindered right which buckles Russell's knees. He falls over backwards from the shot, ending the quick fight.

Simpson had clearly better control over Russell who threw still few punches okay/well but just took bigger by Simpson.
Simpson puts quivkly Russel to the ice.
TKO-win to R.Simpson in short but very good bout.,

poor russell, he was always a punching bag anytime he dropped with a heavyweight. he was a good guy, never backed down. but he took way too many beatings in his career. he never had any sort of style, he was always tall and lanky and fought straight-legged and bent at the waist. won't win many bouts like that.
