First, Gleason mugs Elias (who, admittedly, was acting abnomally tough because he had Rupp and Clarkson as wingers).
Then, as Clarkson pulls him off, a frightened ''Jackie'' head-hugs him into a ''by the benches-fight''.
Finally...''la piece de la resistance''... ''Ralph Cramden'' throws a
''knuckles on the ice'' uppercut attempt as the refs move in.
Classy...in a ''Paul Baxter cheap'' kind of way.
Awkward draw.

This was a good scrap, no advantage to either player.

2 warriors here but not a great fight. Wonderful camera work you dolts!

Definitely a draw from the little action we got to see.

this video doesnt focus on the fight... if you've seen the fight all the way through you gotta give the edge to clarkson.

more importantly... WHY THE HELL WERE THERE 3 MISCONDUCTS HANDED OUT? this has been the closest series of the playoffs... and this was the FIRST fight in 6 games. do the refs not want any fights? there was a scrum in front of the net... a fight broke out cause of it... and somehow clarkson, gleason, AND rupp all got game misconducts (and rupp got a roughing, ridiculous). the NHL needs to pull the string out before they ruin playoff hockey.

I was at the game and this broadcast focuses on the mess in front of the net at the same time that clarkson is at his best throwin short hard uppercuts while gleason tries to hug him 'till the refs get there. different view would show a clear win for clarky, i love that scrappy little guy! lets go devils in game 7!!

btw, misconducts on 3 players involved in some great playoff hockey = total weaksauce, the nhl needs to toughen back up

Didn't really see most of the exchange, but looked like a draw.

Do like that the one ref let it go, but neither player objected to the separation by the linesman. Good time for a scrap protecting your goal.

I think that Tim Gleason was clearing trying not to fight Clarkson. I know that Tim is an awesome fighter and if he would have wanted to fight Clarkson would not have stood a chance.

haha Paul Baxter cheap shot... except Gleason didn't drop to the fetal position like Baxter would have.

Clear draw. I just donīt get it why Mike Rupp got a misconduct?...seems like normal 2 minute roughing penalty for shoving and "talking" or did I really miss something? back in old days, he wouldnīt get a penalty at all. NHL is so lame nowadays, thanks for european players.
