Lots of Laraque haters out there that don't know what they are talking about. First of all - Georges rarely has to ask for a fight anymore. It is more like, "Please Mr. Laraque, can I have a chance to beat you?" Laraque only turns them down when it isn't the right time for the team - for him to fight. I know this site is only dedicated to fights but there is actually a game going on around the fights. You don't win the Stanley Cup just by fighting. Make no mistake about it Georges has beaten them all and is the king. His lack of fighting majors has more to do with a lack of opponents that could actually have any hope of clearly beating this man. Not Boogaard, not Orr, not Godard, and certainly not a guy named Jody.

One punch by Shelley landed, and 2 by Laraque. Balance problem for Jody as spot picker Laraque waited until the very end of Shelley's shift before blasting Boyle. Laraque normally has trouble with Shelley. All 5 prior meetings were either wins for JS, or a draw. Yeah, I'm a homer but this fight was too short .

PS: Gunslinger, you're an idiot. Everyone complains when their guy loses or is in a tough fight. They are our favorites and of course we're going to stick up for them. I know you fancy yourself as the self appointed czar of fighter rankings, but to me you're just a little guy with no life.

Laraque gets the grip he wants, and wastes no time dispatching Shelley.
Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein...
considering Shelleys' looks...coincidence?

BGL with dropped the hammer on Shelley.

And this is why bgl is the #1 fighter. Even if he seems to not do it enuff he's still tops and this dominationg beat down is an example why. Nuff said.

Laraque controlled it. Shelley was looking for the rematch, but it didn't happen.

One of George's better showings.

You know what? I'm a lifetime Caps fan and I can admit when Brashear gets beat. Why can't the idiot who voted for Shelley admit when he got beat? Win for BGL.

These two had a decent rivalry in the West when Georges was in Edmonton and Jody in Columbus. The last time they went Shelley dropped him but Laraque returns the favor this time with a nice TKO ... these guys match up well!!!
