I don't know how people can not like Lucic. If you look at it from just a pure hockey fight perspective, damnit he is entertaining and tough. Wallace however just became one of my favourite 3 players I think. Poor guy. Can't believe he stayed off his arse.

(I don't like it).

Yes Lucic wins. Do you think Lucic would have fought Godard? No I did not think SO.If you want to be a heavyweight fight a HEAVYWEIGHT!

Lucic wins but props to Wallace!

Once again Lucic steps up and goes after a guy significantly smaller than himself. When is this "next Cam Neely" going to grow a pair and take on some good heavies? Lucic gets the win, I thought he was going to kill Wallace but Tim hung in there and made a decent fight of it. Props to him for courage, something Lucic knows little about.

Props to Wallace, but may want to find an opponent in your weight class next time. I really didn't see the "Pummeling or domination" a lot of you Lucic fans are talking about. Most of his punches were grazing or back of the head shots. Wallace landed several as well. I hope Lucic puts some ice on his bloody mouth. W for lucic but try fighting someone closer to your size. I've seen Wallace in person. He is about 5'11, 185 lbs soaking wet, holding an anvil. Believe me his stature is a bit exaggerated on the books. He was just answering the bell from an earlier play when Lucic was F-ing with Crosby.
I should add, Boston looks fantastic so far this year. San Jose vs. Boston in the finals? Wouldn't surprise me at all.

Wallace showed a lot, he's trying to stay in the nhl and he fought one of the tougher guys in the league, win Lucic

I wish Paul Bissonnette wasn't back in the AHL, him versus Lucic would be good

Great fight. Lucic obviously wins, but Wallace has some huge balls.

I didn't see Wallace connect, but obviously he did, as Lucic had a bloody lip To me however Lucic clearly dominated the fight.

Good fight. Not as close as the announcers would have you believe though.

Lucic dominated as he should have given the size difference.

I have to say I agree with Cid. With the salary cap the days of the pure goons are over for teams competing for the Cup. Having a full line up of competent hockey players is now more important than hired gunslingers. Lucic is a well rounded, large player who is more important to his team on the ice rather than in the penalty box.

I'm tired of the <insert player> is afraid of <insert player> BS talk . They say the same thing about Brashear who has fought everyone, defeated them all (including BGL) and suddenly has no heart. Players have to pick their spots and not put their team down a man.

That was a good effort by Wallace. He is definately out of Lucic league but aquitted himself VERY well. The W to Lucic.
