Two big men, not willing to give an inch, and in the process, fighting to a textbook draw.

Back and forth in close, no Peters and Janssen routines with the long range shots--this was a heckuva good fight between Shelley and Ivanans.

well its minus 45 in Winnipeg today and this is my loan highlight of this miserable day....now this was a fun hockey fight to watch....very spirited and i would call this dead even draw

Great scrap, have to call it a draw. I'd like to know what on earth would get voted a ten around here, seems like even a real barn-burner will be in the 7.5 range... not that this one was a 10, but a good one no less.

It was even during the first 25% of the fight, then Shelley controlled the next 50% percent, either by jabbing RI in the face annoyingly or by effectively redirecting his attempts to strike back. The final 25% was more even, when Ivanans started using his strength, but he never gets anything suficient enough through to take away Shelley's edge in the middle. If that one uppercut landed it would have been a differant story... but it didn't... so slight edge Shelley.

IF Ivanans would have connected with that one upper cut he may have gotten the win and possible KO. But he didn't and the fight was dead even to me. Very entertaining. Usually when I vote draw its a crap fight but this one was good.

JS had a lot of little scoring blows, RI had a few that scored as well. I was leaning JS when I first watched it, but I'm calling a draw based on the RR trax over Jody's eye when he returned to the bench after this one.

Great fight! Shellys back!
I want to say draw which it was but im being a homer because you can go either way with the W.

Admittedly, I'm a Sharks homer. But I kept replaying this in order to be as fair as I can be. If it's too close to call, I will go for Jody. But I watched closely the number of times the heads snapped backwards and it sure looked like (I wish that I knew how to watch these bouts on a larger format) JS got the edge by 3 significant blows. I sure do hope that many agree as it's always hard to see your guy out voted. At any rate JS, along with Cote, consistently puts on the best effort. Go Sharks!!!

Good scrap, ever so slight edge to Shelley.

I have to hand it to Ivanans the learning curve was very steep for him being a European player coming over to the bigs here. He would see more action if he were in the Eastern Conference but has a pretty good rivalry going with Parros and Shelley. Ivanans is so big and strong that he is not challenged very often and only a handful of the premiere heavies like Shelley will go with him. Another great fight by Shelley the Canadian Badass is back with a vengeance this year.
