Craig Weller vs Shea Weber

So did a 3rd man in penalty get awarded here? classic 2 against one. the other fellow should have at least got a misconduct for pullin weller down while weber ambushed him.
still weber gets a "W".

Weller thought he was just going to get a facewash from Weber and Suter for the hit, (Suter also thought this was the plan) but Weber wanted to introduce his fist to Weller's face.
Once Weber dropped the gloves, Suter tried to clear out; you can definitely see he was only trying to get out of the way.
No ganging up beyond a little bit for the facewashing, which everyone does after a hit they don't like, and no third man in penalty was deserved.

Looks like Weber can do more than just score goals...even though the fight never developed, I'll give this one to him because he was the only one throwing 'em.

Kariya 19 has a temper. Weber started throwing punches when weller wasnt ready. Suter was grabbing him from behind it was a 2 on 1 for the beginning.

Maybe they didnt want to vote for someone who only won because he started throwing before the other guy even realized he was in a fight.

Looks more like a guy getting jumped by a couple of street thugs than a hockey fight. I wonder if they took his wallet.

Not a good decision by Shea, but at least he accomplished what he set out to do. Weller gets made an example for the late hit.

Weller got pounded for a late hit. It's his own fault for not throwing any punches. Any hockey player knows what's coming after a hit like that. Suter backed off as soon as Weber started pounding him; I don't know what "mugging" you figure skating fans were watching.
