Mark Bell vs Craig Weller

Weller kicked Bell's ass in this one. Even when Bell had his entire right arm free from the jersey, Weller STILL landed a couple shots. Bell hasn't been holding his own lately.

Weller controlled for the narrow win in this great fight.

Aside from simply hating the Leafs and/or Bell can anyone here explain to me why you think the Leaf brass or even Bell himself are touting Mark to be a heavyweight bruiser? I've never heard either state that claim so as much as you hate the Leafs - let's not get carried away with the analysis here.
In this "new" NHL - most teams are slowly abandoning the team policeman and replacing them with guys that can put up some numbers hopefully but be there to handle things in the fisticuffs dept. if called upon.
Bell is not a heavyweight by any stretch and he knows this, the Leafs know this and you morons that think otherwise should know this. He has simply been put in a position where by virtue of his past experiences combined with the lack of a suited fighter in the line-up - he will now have to be "that" guy.
In the old system, he would be a respected for his ability to play a tough game and answer the (ahem) bell once in awhile but because he is now forced to be the toughie right now for the club - which he seems not entirely comfortable with - he will have stinkers like this as well as make it hard for him to establish any scoring prowess.

Bottomline: I think the Leafs must dress Belak for Bell to be effective and guys, don't be so down on the poor bastard- he probably didn't even ask for this role in the first place - and he's trying his best to not mess it up but the results aren't always going to be pretty. I still think he has something to offer the team but it's not a good situation all around in Hogtown - and to **** on the guy like this just shows how little knowledge you have of the sport.

Weller with the win here, Bell really should work on his core strength and balance out there. I think Weller may have suprised Bell with his strength.

Bell finally takes on someone his size and loses, he normally goes after much smaller players or non combatant players.

Nice little scrap... I just love it whenthere is distance between the fighters and equipment starts getting loose. It looks awesome even if punches don't land solid. Anyway Weller gets my vote. Why u ask? ...Cause he looked better, that's all !
