Donwey was just better, no matter so well how much he landed punches here(not many) as he controlled to Wizh.
I think that Downey landed a couple/few.
He got the edge for sure in my book.

I'm surprised Downey's gloves still come off. They were glued on vs DJ King last week. And, Stu Grimson sends his regards. (Downey fans as well as Downey probably don't remember Grimson, though).

wiznooski is a tough detroit kid. but downey had the slight edge here. the wings like wiz, i wonder if they'll try and swing a trade in the offseason to land him

Downey in a beat down. Whizski acted like a tough guy at first until Downey starting bombing him.

I was hoping these two would go and they did. If Downey did throw a shot in when Wisniewski went down, it was an extra for Samuelson. Downey is a very patient and foe respecting fighter. He knows when to go and when to let people get themselves off their game, don't always have to drop the gloves to prove something, although it is more entertaining when they do. I give Downey the win for the one armed body slam.

All that matter's to me is heart and Downy has alot of it. And trust me it has an effect on his teammate's know he has their back. It's not alway's the size of the dog in the fight. GO WING"S

Behn - What I would give to have those days back. But then again, we weren't making the playoffs every year and winning Stanley Cups, so I consider it to be a fair tradeoff. As for the fight, it was a clear win for Downey...he came out firing early, often and was clearly in control from the start.

DOWNEY IS A TOUGH KID, NOT A LEGIT HEAVYWEIGHT, BUT HE GETS IN THERE AND TRIES TO THROW DOWN WITH AN AGGRESSIVE STYLE

Anyone who was at this game knows that Wiz was won this fight convincinigly. The camera didn't show 3 good shots that connected to Downey's ugly face. DETROIT SUCKS! They are praying that they don't have to face the Hawks in the first round.

Lousy camera work, lousy fight

Can't imagine how much more Aaron would pound Jimmy if he fought with the right. See ya next year Hawks.

not a bad tilt considering Downey hasn't dropped em in like, 15 or 16 games. Too bad the camera missed the beginning of the scrap. Could have looked like more of a draw. But from what I saw, Downey landed more, and got the takedown. Good win.

Another note to "Dallas Probert" Any line combination with Boogaard in it has more enforcement firepower than Downey-McCarty-Drake. Or for that matter DJ King as that feared lined combination didn't want anything to do with him. I can still see King chasing Downey to the bench after coming out of the box.

well... from what I saw on the video Id give the win to Downey... even if Wisniewski got some rights in at the start it was all Downey after then
