Hit was from behind. Should have been a penalty.

Rivet destroyed Daley though.

The Stars got that call back at the end of the period when Pavelski was called for goalie interference when he was 40 feet away from the goal and Turco knocked the net off the moorings.

Rivet controlled mostly for the narrow win.
A dirty hit.

I don't think Rivet is know as a cheap shot artist. I don't think he does those kinds of things very often.

Talk about cheap shot, that one may make best cheap shot of the year. WHat skill does it take to plow someone from behind.

Props to Daley for sticking up for his captain, but Rivet handed him a whooping.

Cheap hit. Rivet won the fight. I give credit to a guy that stands up for a teammate, even if he gets his arse kicked. You really deserve more credit for jumping in when you know you don't have a chance. It takes more onions. I've been complaining all year about guys getting upset about clean hits. This is one that deserved retaliation. If the Stars do it right, they won't let this lie.

Who voted for Daley? He didn't do anything other than be on the receiving end of the punishment. If you are such a "homer" that you cannot impartially review a fight then you shouldn't do a review.
Rivet was dominant from start to finish in this scrap.

bull****. the refs dont call the hit from behind and daley gets the instigator. drop the instigator penalties or start calling the games better!

That was a terrible non call for that cheap hit from behind. Daly loses but you always stick up for a teammate that takes a cheap shot like that. Respect to Daley, no respect for Rivet.

Trevor Daley did the best impersonation of a heavy bag I have seen all year. I heard Daley's shadow has beat him most of his life too.

cheap.well done daley

The refs had their a@@ up their heads. Rivet should have had a match penalty for a blatant cheap shot.

The next time tese teams meet , Morrow should deliver a beating on the coward Rivet. Rivet won the fight but he is a a scum bag for the dirty hit.

Rivet is a bad ass. He put Morrow in his place and then destroyed Daley.

I like the way Morrow see's Rivet coming and then turns toward the boards. He saw it coming, just didnt expect to get freakin' freight-trained!! YES!!! I love it. Guess the youngster Daley thought he had a chance with old man Rivet. He got his corn-creamed!! AS far as the calls, the olympic dive team Stars got a make up call a few min. later when Turco threw himself on the net. Not the first time was it Marty??
You know what they say-- " Ain't nothin' but steers and queers in Texas ; and I dont see no horns on you boy!!"

See this is what is pathetic about the nhl, just because Morrow happened to not be hurt, Rivet didn't get ANY penalty and guaranteed if Morrow was hurt he would have gotten a misconduct and maybe even a suspension, the nhl needs to look at these things very closely, regardless of whether the player gets hurt or not.
