Peon flopped on that one.

If I see one more clean open ice hit, and a fight ensues with an announcer saying the guy is sticking up for his teammate, I'm going to smash my computer. Sticking up for your teammate is when a guy gets a cheap shot. That's 3 clean hits this week (maybe Orr's was questionable, but I think it was okay), and each resulted in a fight. How about telling your teammate to keep his puny head up? All these gnats flying around the NHL not keeping their head on a swivel, and the big boys are supposed to feel bad about laying the body to them? If a guy does something dirty, then he should pay. But I saw nothing wrong with this hit. Clean hard hockey.

A typical Dion fight....COWARD

Moen gets the edge for stepping in for his teammate. Not really much of a fight.

could have been a good fight but phaneuf slipped, i call in a draw cuz they both threw about 2 punches before it ended.

In many fights the players barely have enough time to get there gloves off in time let alone the helmet. I have seen Phaneuf take his visor off before a fight if he has a change (Phaneuf vs Lilja Nov 27, 2007 3pd 12:58 for example)

boring, draw

I don't understand everyones passionate hatred towards Dion. Yes he fights with a visor but when he does they are often close quarter fights where if he were to take off his helmate he would be fed 3 or 4 punches. I have seen many fights where if he has a split second to do so he will get rid of his hard hat

This was a fight?

Phaneuf has got to man-up. Revoke his man card. If you want to play tough, take off the visor and throw some punches. Don't fall down and wait for the refs to bail you out.

dcage, I agree with you 100%. Although, there are a few guys on Calgary who play that role. Some guy was calling Perry a ***** for not getting rid of his protection. Dude look at the team he's playing, Calgary Visor-wearing tough guys or Calgary Flamers. I use to love the Flames 'cause I hated the Oilers. But, now I just hate them both.
