Rare is it that the behavior of a player on the ice truly sickens me. However, Staubitz' reaction to a cross check by Dravecky was nauseating. Staubitz decided it was necessary to pound away at Dravecky's face repeatedly for a solid 30 seconds to a minute. Dravecky never raised a hand in his own defense, I'm not sure if it was in shock or a conscious decision. However, Dravecky's right cheek bone was broken in this bout.

Many people even encouraged Monarch's coach, Mark Morris, to submit the tape for review, but he in the end decided not to because it was Dravecky's cross check that started the fight.
