Wilson proves once again to show why when he’s on the ice the other team plays stupid. Coburn knew he was getting his ass whooped coming out of the box and Wilson showed why you don’t disrespect a teammate. Previous reviewer is a troll, pay him no mind.

I know he has his detractors, but Wilson can play on my team any day. He is what the Oilers thought Lucic could be.

Decent tilt, Coburn with 1 or 2 fights a season did well against Wilson coming off a 13 fights season. Still give the W to Wilson, but Coburn gets nod for staying in, chucking back and not just going for the hug once he realized Wilson was trying to kill him.

Props to Coburn for accepting the challenge. Wilson landed better and took the fight to Coburn. Win Wilson.

Coeburn is a big, strong tough guy! But no match for Wilson! Wilson dominates him and has a couple of near miss knock out punches. Wilson is a hockey player like Chris Simon and Bob Probert. Tough guys that could play the game. Vegas will need to give Reaves plenty of ice time to keep WIlson honest.

Bad trade but had to happen. Coburn shouldn't have ripped off Kuzy's jersey.

Great fight at a pivotal moment in game 7. Don't see that much anymore. These two guys were legit pissed off at each other, Wilson landed some good shots but Coburn wouldn't go away. Both guys trying to get their teams fired up. Good stuff!!

Posted by skyywise on May 24, 2018 at 12:01 AM

Wilson technically shouldn't have engaged with the Caps setting up well in the offensive zone. That said, he absolutely pummeled and outclassed Coburn. Great fight.

Posted by CravenMoorhead on May 24, 2018 at 01:41 PM

Coburn should get his head checked. This fight was over as soon as Kuznetsov's sweater got torn off and thrown. Why are you trying to fire up the one dude on the opposition that is a one-man wrecking crew and relocates people's teeth for a living? Decisive win for Wilson. He's a fiery, mean sonofabitch and I wish he was on my team. The NHL needs more Tom Wilsons!.

Coburn's wife won't recognize him.

Good old fashioned (fueled by anger) hockey fight, Wilson was swinging for a knock out ! Good fight, Edge to Tommy.

Not even close. Wilson by a landslide

Posted by staceyb on May 25, 2018 at 04:52 AM

Not since his fight with Owen Nolan in a 2009-10 preseason tilt has Coburn been that beaten down. Then again he fights about as often as George Foreman these days while Wilson as we know is a well-oiled fighting machine.

Let’s see if Wilson will fight Reaves.

Posted by SixPackOfDaves on May 27, 2018 at 08:54 AM

Good fight. Despite all the pundit hand wringing and crying, I prefer to think Coburn’s beatdown kept the Tampa bench from yucking it up and thinking they could disrespect Washington players all game.

Complete domination by Wilson

All things considered one of the best fights of the season. I gave huge bonus points for it being during Game 7 of the conference finals. This wasn't some bout in November. It was on one of the biggest of stages and just a damn good old fashioned hockey fight. Coburn simply didn't have the fire that Big Willy did and got handily beaten.

Wilson showing what happens if you disprespect his teammates, came out the box looking for blood and damn he threw some bombs. Showing the NHL the new breed of POWER forward.

This is one of the rare fights were I was thinking that the linesmen need to jump in to stop it. Wilson might kill Coburn.

That fight won the Caps the cup

Wilson is more than a bit of a cock, but he's for sure the much better fighter here and proves it in a spirited scrap. His physical presence has given the Caps a lot this playoffs, and them being in the Finals attests to it.

why give Wilson an almost ko? very little landed. if you took away the misses you had a wrestling match.

Posted by moranm58 on May 24, 2018 at 01:52 PM

Coburn is a fist magnet!

Wilson

Wilson, who I didnt respect most of the year had earned praise during the playoffs. And he gets the V

I don't know how anyone can say this was even close. Wilson sticking up for his teammate and fighting a bigger opponent. Hi killed him. And for all you haters, he plays on the first line.

Posted by Vinnieluvv on May 24, 2018 at 02:58 PM

Nice work by Wilson.

Willy makes him pay

Wilson 💪🏻

Coburn, you know I loved you at Philly, and on an occasion you stood up, but fuck around, Wilson is a savage and handed your ass to you dawg.

Posted by BruinsAllDaySon on May 25, 2018 at 09:03 PM

I read the reviews before watching the fight and expected Coburn to be half dead.... lot of angry swings and mostly misses. Give it to wilson I guess but this is a 5 at best.

Posted by Crease_Monkey on May 24, 2018 at 09:31 AM

Coburn was a little puddy tat. He didn't know what hit him. Did you see him plead with the ref for mercy at one point...as Wilson kept whacking him in the head? Best Hockey fight I've seen in a long time!

Posted by Imarabhata on May 25, 2018 at 09:45 PM

Wilson easy win. No chance he goes with Reaves. First thing Reaves needs to do is rip off Ovi’s jersey, bet it don’t get same response.

Posted by burnsy9 on May 24, 2018 at 01:57 PM

Wilson on top of this one. I think he will get tuned up by Ryan Reeves out of the gate in game one.

Posted by bobowen34 on May 24, 2018 at 02:59 PM

Last year Wilson just wanted to hug everyone when he "fought". Lots of anger for Wilson i the win. We will see if he engage Reeves.

Posted by canamrugby on May 24, 2018 at 02:02 PM

Swing and a miss on all attempts.

Posted by miamiexisle on May 24, 2018 at 01:28 AM

Wilson is the biggest punk in the league. Never wants to fight another tough guy but will always drop with a non-fighter.

Posted by sedge47 on May 23, 2018 at 08:57 PM

In round 432 of Wilson vs Feelings of Inadequacy, we find our protagonist desperately scrambling to make up for being ragdolled like a little bitch by the lino a few minutes earlier. Luckily for him, Coburn is a big stiff.
