Jack Meoff on Oct 15, 2016 at 4:46 PM agree disagree @Franchise, you certainly didn't win any grammer contests. Glass Houses Alert!! Ahem, Jack. It's grammar. You certainly didn't win any spelling bees. I call this one a draw. Neal at the beginning, Toews at the end. Nothing to see here, move on....

I was there and once again the video doesn't show the entire fight. Neal dominated early, hitting Toews with 2 or 3 good blows. Toews had one puch late and the little short punch from the hand holding the collar. Not a lot of damage here but Neal definitely won the fight. Blackholes, quit whining about the stick to the face, it was an accident, it happens. They were breaking out and Neal was trying to slow Toews, everybody tries to do something to slow the opposing player if they can. Yes, he got his stick up too high, missed call by the refs.

Toews fights his way back into this scrap and earns a Draw. Good stuff Captain!

Toews got some votes? What, because he stayed up? lmao

cute little dance

James Neal sticks Toews in the face because he is always reckless with his stick. Pretends he never did it as he’s a pathological liar. Only drops gloves once he feels he can cold cock Toews who was asking to drop gloves. Still loses because he’s a washed up ankle bender.

toews wanted piece of neal and neal answered the bell...neal controlled the fight i dont think he landed anything to call him a winner...draw and 5

Love Toews just for this. All man, tough kid and a great player surely not gonna take any chit from chippy Neal. Fight was even. Toews might have gotten a bit lucky because Neal couldn't shed his elbow pad. Good fight. It is in bad form to criticize grammar or spelling on a website dedicated to Hockey Fights!

Posted by SURESHOT27 on October 25, 2016 at 10:35 AM

not too bad. both landed a couple.

Posted by slysi on October 23, 2016 at 04:48 PM

bad enough to have had to listen to PAT & EDDIE live ( while watching the game live) without hearing the two know-it-alls on a replay ! I wish CSN Chicago would get some new guys to do the games . It is getting so sickening listening to those two yapping all game long AND then there is Folley's baby talk ............." TWEE TURDY TWEE LEFT IN DA TURD " ...makes you feel like your in the first grade again ! Anyway about the tussle , probably more frustration on Toews part .....the old grey mare ( the HAWKS ) ain't what she used to be .....MAYBE too big of contracts to certain players ?

What's the rule on fighting with a face shield?

Posted by Marchese_Dave on November 01, 2016 at 01:28 PM

Crappy fight. Neal had a slight edge, landing more punches, but overall not a good fight.

Posted by Franchise on October 15, 2016 at 12:33 AM

People actually thought Toews actually won that fight. Lol.

Posted by dannyjd on October 18, 2016 at 11:48 AM

Not sure how Toews got so many votes. From my angle, Neal landed a lot of hits, his only flaw was spending too much time getting that elbow pad off rather than pummeling Toews. Easy victory in my eyes.

Spirited Fight, Edge Toews.

Neal had upper hand, but had trouble with his pad, and was trying to shake it off, so he didn't want to try to punch with it dangling, but as toes was taking swings at him, he took a couple of punches with it still there, I think Neal would have easily won, if not for that.

Tazer with the win. You just don't do that. You don't stick a guy in the face.

Posted by Chadricco on October 15, 2016 at 10:45 AM

Too many frickin Hawks rubes skewing the ratings.

Posted by komet71 on October 15, 2016 at 10:06 AM

pretty good star scap. I have to give Toews the edge but Neal hung in there.

Posted by mrunohoo on October 17, 2016 at 02:42 AM

I didn't realize that Jonathan Toews was balding....hmm. He's not just the president, he's a member.

Posted by The Mad House on October 14, 2016 at 11:40 PM

Unimpressive showing from Neal here Thought he'd dominate the way overmatched Toews.. Toews is a strong guy though and he's getting more and more experienced with the gloves off... Not sure what's gotten into the captain Maybe he's got a taste for blood now?? Who knows. But the 'Hawks need his hands up for scoring purposes Because they don't not look very good this year Still, I love to see anyone in the Indian head sweater scrapping Even a guy who shouldn't be doing it Going draw here

Posted by EK65 on October 16, 2016 at 08:14 PM

Hate Neal, Love Star Fights. Draw & 4 In an even draw.

Posted by tpr1960 on October 15, 2016 at 08:36 AM

Never seen Neal drop his gloves before, glad he had to pay for his usual stickwork

Posted by Jack Meoff on October 15, 2016 at 05:46 PM

@Franchise, you certainly didn't win any grammer contests.

Posted by fastbal on October 16, 2016 at 07:40 PM

stick to the face was no accident

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 18, 2016 at 04:18 AM

Towes justifiably responds to an errant stick in the face while Neal wastes everyone's time dramatically shaking off an elbow pad only to never throw a punch

Posted by IMPEACH on October 17, 2016 at 07:42 PM

Neal is one of the cheapest players in the League. If he'd played in the 80's he'd have been taken out in a hearse by now. Instigator be damned; at some point someone's going to bonk him, and it won't be pretty. Good for Toews, but someone else on Chicago needs to be doing that job.

Posted by brokenhead on October 15, 2016 at 02:28 AM

James Neal is a dirty mofo pos. I can't stand him, but that said, still a draw for the "fight".

Posted by lucic17 on October 15, 2016 at 12:04 AM

Neal has always been a tool. He should have destroyed Toews, who has impressed me with his increasing willingness to drop the gloves the last couple of years. Neal always seems to be pissing people off. Neal-cheap prick. Toews-leader.

Posted by OutlawDaddy on October 15, 2016 at 08:47 AM

Toews came back with some solid hits. Fight was close to a draw but all things considered from both fighters and then Toews coming back in the fight, Neal should be embarrassed and the elbow pad is no excuse. Overall impact of the fight for each guy definitely has Toews coming out the winner.

Posted by dapwas20 on October 14, 2016 at 11:58 PM

Toews with the win.😁 Neal with the bitch move of swinging his elbow pad? If that is not unsportsmanlike what is!

Posted by Screaming Buffalo on October 14, 2016 at 10:29 PM

I expected much more from Neal. How embarrassing to draw and maybe even lose against Toews who couldn't fight his way out of a wet paper sack.
