Who is voting Seabrook's family?

Posted by mudman55 on January 17, 2015 at 01:41 PM

Good clean hit on Kane. Shame that Slater should have to answer. Last I checked Kane's playing hockey, correct? Hitting's part of it. It's not like Kane is a cab driver or something, right?

No enforcers .....guys running the stars.....great job NHL

Posted by Blackhawk067 on January 17, 2015 at 09:36 AM

McGuffin....Slater wasn't tied up by the refs...he turtled and continued to get pounded. Big difference.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this A 'Hawk standing up for another 'Hawk? AND THEN WINNING?! And of all people.. It's Brent Seabrook? Seabrook used to fight more often, and wasn't bad. He takes on a pretty tough guy here, and gets the win. Either way, the 'Hawks are an embarrassment to tough guys everywhere

Posted by CanadianDewd on January 17, 2015 at 02:13 AM

not sure how seabrook won .. when down on the ground than tries to start throwing punches ???? gay

Posted by Roadster1963 on January 17, 2015 at 03:56 AM

Funny how the Hawk fans didn't like Peluso standing up for a team mate but they have no problem with Seabrook doing the exact same thing.

Posted by DARCY T on January 22, 2015 at 02:51 PM

good shift by slater..fight was all slater but seabrook got lucky at the end when slater's face appeared right in front of seabrook's right fist who made it even with couple quick rights before linesmen stepped in...draw

Posted by CSpackler on January 18, 2015 at 12:07 AM

Neither one of these guys and can fight and yes, the Hawks are the softies of the league and I'm surprised that more team just simply get physical with them like Winnipeg does. They can't handle it. Seabrook is lucky he was fighting someone with an equally awkward style.

Posted by Behn Wilson on January 17, 2015 at 03:02 PM

There was more wrong with the fight than there was with the actual hit itself... as Seabrook awkwardly handles an equally awkward Slater Meh...

Posted by Jellyczar on January 17, 2015 at 09:08 AM

Kane the best player on the Blackhawks? R U kidding me? His blades never scratch the defensive zone.... Seabrook wins

Posted by EK65 on January 17, 2015 at 03:38 AM

Nice hit by Slater leads to a sloppy fight won by Seabrook in the old Noogie & Throw Em tactics...

Posted by rocky 1 on January 17, 2015 at 11:47 PM

Hit was pretty clean and I believe Kane could have taken care of this himself. Out sized and out classed no doubt Slater would loose this bout!

Posted by ironbar44 on January 16, 2015 at 10:04 PM

good team mate bad fighter

Posted by Hilaker on January 16, 2015 at 10:03 PM

Seabrook gets the win. Most of his shots were while both guys were down. Nothing to be proud of but at least the Blackhawks finally got into a couple of scraps. I think they are almost as soft as the Redwings. Maybe not that soft but they are not as tough as yesteryear.

fuck Paul Maurice you big four eyed pussy easy win Seabrooke

Posted by sulley71 on January 17, 2015 at 11:53 AM

Nice for Seabrook to take it to Slater for what Peluso did. Too bad he didn't keep throwing, also good of him to let Slater know rather than jump him!

Posted by X Crush X on January 17, 2015 at 10:06 AM

Just read the comments, WOW, a lot of whiney Jets fans. In the world of hockey Seabrook executed to perfection. That's exactly how that situation should have been handled, start to finish.

Posted by SURESHOT27 on January 17, 2015 at 08:35 AM

hawks need a scrapper. I'm available. edge goes to seabs

Posted by von_swine on January 17, 2015 at 02:09 AM

beauty hit,..that replay was golden... and to think we're what, a season, maybe two away from this being a pair of game misconducts?.. wasn't great, but it's the 'thought' that counts right? #7 FTW, & not by much... p.s.; 'pugilistic embarrassment' my new fave two-word combo. Humper +1

Teams are probably going to be taking more runs at Kane as the season progresses, considering the Hawks have no one to make them pay. Welcome to the NHL 2015. Seabrook throws most of his punches when Slater was down on one knee. Joke of a fight.

Posted by callum on January 17, 2015 at 02:37 PM

I'm a Jets fan and I don't understand why people are ragging on Seabrook. When someone runs a teammate, big dollar guy or not, it behooves a self respecting player to step up. Most good teams have a simple "don't run my teammate" rule instituted on the day Jerseys are handed out. That said both were willing and while I'm sure Slater didn't appreciate the punches while down I doubt he'd have anything else to complain about

Posted by duffbrainard on January 23, 2015 at 07:50 PM

When I clicked on this I expected a lopsided beatdown. Instead, this. Are Hawks fans copying Bruins fans by upvoting the fight because you lost the game? It doesn't show much respect for the game.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on January 18, 2015 at 07:54 PM

Beauty of a hit, meh fight. Win for Seabrook, but how bout the Jets in this game eh?

Posted by travist on January 22, 2015 at 04:44 PM

nice hit and nice fight.

The Mad House calls it.

most underrated d-man in the league. would wear a C on almost any other team. does his job....

Posted by LordKOTL on January 19, 2015 at 12:06 PM

Win for Seabrook here in a good game for scraps. Bickell: Take notes.

Posted by steakbelly8000 on January 17, 2015 at 02:46 AM

All Seabrook....

Posted by Great Murray on January 17, 2015 at 09:24 AM

Seabrooke answers the bell and reverses the beat down of Bickel. Seabrooke is a very tough customer that rarely fights but shows that he knows what to do here.

Posted by hawkwing24 on January 18, 2015 at 12:37 AM

thanks for engaging! protect the snipers! way better than the feeble Bicknell fight! props Seabrook!

Posted by Marduk18th on January 17, 2015 at 04:53 PM

Seabrook! Good Job!

Posted by gsrae on January 16, 2015 at 11:19 PM

Seabrook with the win.

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on January 16, 2015 at 10:39 PM

uppercuts = win

Posted by 4on4 on January 17, 2015 at 12:11 PM

Clean hit, but nobody's gonna get away with running Kaner. Nice to see Seabs step up with a solid win.

Posted by doobi1 on January 17, 2015 at 07:36 AM

Slater did a great job of defending himself after the hit on Kane, but, Seabrook made the point in the end for the win with a barrage of knuckle sandwiches to the face of the villan. Don't do that to Kane knucklehead.

Posted by berkja on January 20, 2015 at 12:35 PM

Seabrook bitch slapped that pussy.

Posted by tuffthinker on January 17, 2015 at 12:28 PM

Seabrook steps up to defend the Hawks' star player and does so with gusto, earning a narrow win.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on January 24, 2015 at 01:22 AM

Slater challenges Seabrook and then eats it.

Posted by Patman on January 17, 2015 at 02:05 AM

Posted by bigmike53 on January 16, 2015 at 11:45 PM

Slater crushes Kane with a big check and Seabrook responds in a big way. Seabrook landing uppercuts and sending a message along the way. Win for Seabrook.

Posted by jferguson on January 17, 2015 at 08:48 AM

Typical cheap shot stuff from seabrook.....slash from behind then punching after the refs get involved.....meh

Posted by hockeyboy10106 on January 17, 2015 at 12:48 AM

Seabrook with some dirty punches at the end

Posted by McGuffin on January 16, 2015 at 10:06 PM

Pattycakes gets leveled. Seabrook goes after Slater. Nice move by Seabrook. You almost never see CHI does this. Fight was pretty much a draw. Not very classy of 7 continuing to throw when the zebra has his opponent under wraps. I'm sure the hand dancers were all horrified.

Posted by Humper on January 16, 2015 at 09:50 PM

Seabrook gets a bit of revenge for a clean hit on an "untouchable" with a slim win over Slater. Regardless, the Hawks are a pugilistic embarrassment.
