Gazdic absolutely drilled Prust with that last shot! Nice A$$ whooping here.

Posted by simard3000 on October 11, 2013 at 01:05 AM

@ Behn_wilson Loll how is that a tko you should watch the fight again.

Posted by HMai802915 on October 11, 2013 at 06:55 AM

They went in circles and not sure of it was Gazdic that knocked down Prust or if Prust had just lost his balance.

Posted by jimmy h on October 14, 2013 at 08:10 PM

visor in the way most of the punches missed by both guys. no tko here. love Prust . He can play and is rugged.

Posted by Frankislav on October 12, 2013 at 07:49 AM

Gazdic got the final punch in I agree and that probably should have made me select him as the winnner. But I thought that technically, Prust was better, more solid and stable on his skates. Plus, Gazdic seemed to have an important size advantage on Prust. So I would give a 51-49 advantage to Prust.

Posted by legion31 on October 11, 2013 at 03:27 AM

don't like fighters wearing a visor, no tko here.....Prust

Posted by GreatDane on October 22, 2013 at 03:11 PM

If Gazdick had the gonads to take the visor off this fight would have been over by the third punch.

Posted by mike hartman on October 11, 2013 at 10:23 AM

Nice fight. Great knockdown by Gazdic. I love to see a good scrap but hate that every time somebody lays a big clean check on a player, he needs to fight somebody after it.

Posted by Bakes923 on October 12, 2013 at 02:05 PM

The helmet penalty is ridiculous, tough guys fighting with shields sucks!! Whenever the NHL tries to reduce or stop fighting, seems like more fights break out!! I agree with the shield for protection.but not for fighting!!!!!!!! Oh,by the way win to Gazdic!

I'd like to see hockey get to the point where they quit spinning around in circles and grabbing each other's jersey's and just put up the damn dukes and fight. Screw the jersey jabs, screw the pulling the jersey over the head, leave the jersey's alone. Just throw punches. I didn't enjoy this because they played "Ring around the rosie"... Nobody saw the so called TKO punch actually land on tis video.....we just saw the punch being thrown and Prust falling to the ice. Gazic fell 2 (some could say 3) times..... I gave it a draw as the "tko" is inconclusive.

Posted by adam16 on April 06, 2014 at 03:33 PM

I was going to give Gazdic the win, but the additional video gave a different angle. Looks like that last punch got Prust's shoulder, so I'm going with a draw.

Posted by Shernix on October 24, 2014 at 05:37 PM

Not a TKO. See RDS angle. Punch didn't land.

upon further review. Gadzic punched him in the shoulder. Not a TKO.

Posted by travist on October 11, 2013 at 04:45 PM

always a good day to see a hab get knocked down.

Posted by Amerkfan8 on October 12, 2013 at 02:53 PM

Gazdic all the way.

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on November 24, 2014 at 04:22 AM

Gazdic drills Prust for the knockdown in a fight that wasn't close. Once again, that's what Prust gets for fighting guys far outside his weight class. He hung in there for a while, but inevitably was outclassed. Gazdic has really distinguished himself as one of the best heavies in the league today.

Posted by mainlymuscle on October 10, 2013 at 10:49 PM

Prust steps up a weight class or 2,unsuccessfully.

Posted by Snoka on October 10, 2013 at 11:22 PM

TKO for Gazdic

Posted by Madhouse27 on October 11, 2013 at 06:09 PM

Wow, what a frantic bout. Props to Prusty for stepping up but giving the edge to Gadzooks who's been entertaining this season.

Posted by rocky7482 on October 25, 2013 at 06:50 PM

Love the guts on Prust however Gazdic would not let himself get pulled into the spin cycle. TKO

Posted by Viper207 on October 11, 2013 at 02:55 AM

Prust gets in over his head here and pays for it.

Posted by certified goon on October 11, 2013 at 08:05 AM

That right caught prust by surprise. Winner gazdic by tko

Posted by chad420 on October 11, 2013 at 11:24 AM

Luke Skywalker uses the force on Pruster...Good bout

Posted by Clowes ABeast29 on October 10, 2013 at 11:01 PM

KD win. Wow I'm liking this kid A LOT! Edm has a good fast big young tough guy.

Posted by canada bomber on October 12, 2013 at 07:46 PM

prust is a genious fighter. king of goons yur an idiot shut up

Posted by sixclocks on October 20, 2013 at 07:29 PM

close until the last punch

Posted by Tko5 on October 11, 2013 at 12:14 PM

Are you peolple serious? You need to watch this fight in slow-motion. Gazdic is a big dude but he definitely did NOT tag Prust - he completely missed his face on that last shot, he "might" have given him a purple nurple at best. Prust definitely more in control of the fight than the much bigger Gazdic.

Posted by HugoD on October 11, 2013 at 08:58 PM

Gazdic was fighting with his face protection... he received punch everytimes he falled so he would be knocked down if he had no face protection

Posted by abadjoke88 on October 11, 2013 at 08:55 AM

Win Gazdic.

Posted by Gunslinger on October 11, 2013 at 11:58 AM

Prusts pleading screams for mercy pierced the sky as he pee'd his pants and lost another fight. The dreaded Habs disease continues unabated.

Posted by Z.Zalapski on October 11, 2013 at 04:56 PM

Have to give credit to Prust. He's an AWESOME teammate. Immediately sticking up for his guy no matter what.

Posted by 87CROSBY87 on October 11, 2013 at 10:41 PM

Gazdic: T - K - Bloody OOOOOOOOOOOO

Posted by WereNotThatHabs on October 11, 2013 at 12:19 PM

Gazdic hangs around in a bland but close battle to counter the Prust ear shot with a little chin music. On another note I would like to thank Boston Garden for posting Prust's record for the year (0-2) , or did you just read that off the score clock last night in Boston?

Posted by BuddyTheElf on November 18, 2013 at 08:04 PM

Both played their roles. Would have been a happier ending if Prust finished standing up.

Posted by wings1924 on January 07, 2014 at 01:47 PM

hey GAZ lose the visor - not a true tough guy till you do -- nice punch to end the bout --- win GAZ

Posted by balsamswede on October 14, 2013 at 01:58 PM

Gazdic ..determined fighter, throwing so hard he kept losing his balance after the shot and finally connected, that is a TKO

Posted by nbecc1 on October 11, 2013 at 11:31 AM

great tilt, both landed some great shots, Gazdic wins at the end Give Prust credit for hanging in and landing some good shots on a much bigger guy

Posted by datafortress on October 14, 2013 at 05:16 PM

Gadzic with the TKO

Posted by Medicdude on October 11, 2013 at 01:04 PM

For those questioning the visor Gazdic is wearing, you should take some time to learn the rules of the game before criticizing the player. The new rule sees all players with fewer than 25 games of NHL experience mandated to wear a visor. An additional result of the rule change is that the penalty for instigating a fight with a visor has been removed from the rulebook.

Posted by mikebflorida on October 11, 2013 at 11:07 AM

TKO win for Gazdic. Not even close. Votes for Prust are retarded.

Posted by boldbilly on October 11, 2013 at 01:21 AM

There is no tko here give me a break this was a very close fight Gazdic does get the close win and let's give him credit for beating a legit tough guy and credit him also for the knock down....tko my ass

Posted by ghjkfdhgfd on October 11, 2013 at 07:33 PM

Gazzy sneaks a solid right in a slippery tilt.

Posted by shawn46 on October 11, 2013 at 10:09 AM

Gazdic got alot of time to hone his skills in the dallas farm system...

Posted by MeatPlow on October 11, 2013 at 10:54 PM

Prust took on a bigger opponent as per usual and got beat. Gazdic is a tough customer as you all will soon see. nice to see the oilers have finally replaced Marty Mcsorly

Posted by kinga101 on October 11, 2013 at 12:13 AM

Gazdic has been impressive so far, but needs to work on his balance.

Posted by Pug Face on October 11, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Gazdic looking good in the bigs.

Posted by Diablo69 on October 14, 2013 at 08:18 PM

Gazman looks impressive from what I've seen so far. My man Prusty gacve a good effort and it was fairly even until the end... Gazman gets the TKO and the win.

Posted by AdsSection206Goon on October 11, 2013 at 12:58 AM

Looked like a slip on the alleged "KD" punch to me. Edge to Gazdic. though.

Posted by DARCY T on October 11, 2013 at 05:32 AM

good fight by both.it was a draw until gazdic knocked prust off his balance.it made me dizzy just to watch that merry-go-round...edge gazdic

Posted by kryon24 on October 11, 2013 at 05:46 PM

Knock down but no TKO or KO as Pusser was still fully conscious and clear eyed at the end but just surprised by the power of the force with which Luke hits with. It was always fun here in traverse city at Rookie camp when you had the likes of Gazdic, Boll, Big Snake etc. here to get into it. Now its pretty tame and getting to look like the red wings training camp with everyone just skating around (too many euro wuuses). Anyhow win for Skywalker with the KD at the end.

Posted by mrunohoo on October 11, 2013 at 03:09 AM

I love how ready Prust is to dive into suicide missions....this one, however, seems to have been one of those one-way-ticket type of deals. Win Gazdic. (Gazdic used to tear it up for me on NHL '10)

Posted by tpr1960 on October 11, 2013 at 04:13 PM

Great Hit !! Prust should hang it up 0 for the season. Become a Canadien and forget how to fight. They should mandate to the team KEEP YER GLOVES ON !!!

Posted by jrroman on October 12, 2013 at 12:27 PM

Gazdic needs work on balance but has power. Prust a good fighter. Final blow gives clear victory to Gazdic. Called it a TKO cuz Prust went down. In boxing would have had a standing 8 count. Prust held his own and gave some.

Posted by srehm1 on October 11, 2013 at 10:49 AM

They spin and fall, swing and miss until Gazdic lands a beauty at the end to drop Pust. TKO win Gazdic.

Posted by rocky 1 on October 10, 2013 at 11:39 PM

Gadzic sets Prust on his ass with a shot to the chops what else is there to say ?Oh yah Another big win for Gazdic! How anyone can give Prust the win is beyond any reason other than there Homers!Oh we should mention that beautiful crashing hit on Georges as well!

Posted by slavv on October 11, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Prust was looking good until he took one deep in the fight that dropped him....

Posted by zaq007 on October 11, 2013 at 01:14 AM

From the way I heard about it I thought Prust got killed but he did pretty well! Win to Gazdic no doubt though lol

Posted by patbed8 on October 11, 2013 at 01:11 AM

gazdic fights at almost every games... why is he still wearing a visor

Posted by hockey_nut69 on October 10, 2013 at 10:40 PM

edge Gazdic

Posted by dustyknuckles on October 11, 2013 at 10:50 AM

swing for the fences and you might land one first one should win it fellas... lol prust was more worried about stretching the neck of gazdic jersey it looked like to me i guess maybe he knew gazdic's head would swell up once he smacked him to the ice in wait for it 3....2....1 have a seat habs fans lol... no all kidding a side this was a let everything swing for the fences fight it was all right... i guess

Posted by Reggie Fleming on April 10, 2014 at 01:56 AM

I wish every game had a brawl like this! Great sportsmanship by the bearded one.

Posted by dave brown fan on October 11, 2013 at 09:54 AM

Gazdic lays a big hit on Gorges... Gazdic tripped on a stick and fell, then fell from from getting spun by Prust. Three or four good shots from Gazdic; the last one on the button, dropping Prust. Good on Prust for challenging Gazdic and hanging in there. He got dropped but not tuned. Very good fight, definitely a Gazdic win.

Posted by shawnrocks on October 10, 2013 at 11:19 PM

prust is all used up.. kept trying to pull down gazdic...couldn't do it

Posted by mattman1998 on October 12, 2013 at 01:28 PM

What a fight...

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on October 11, 2013 at 04:31 PM

Hey how bout Pruster standing up after a big hit and Rookie Luke with a solid knockdown win! good scrap

Posted by Boston Garden on October 10, 2013 at 11:45 PM

Prust gets dropped like a bad HABit. Another bad loss for the pest Prust. 0-2

Posted by cardiffgiant on October 10, 2013 at 10:57 PM

Gazdic with great balance and recoveries to keep it going and eventually take the win. Add that to the fact that he's beating on Prust, and I'm starting to like this guy.

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on October 11, 2013 at 01:43 AM

Prust was edging this until the pop at the end, good bout thou.

Posted by fernben8 on October 11, 2013 at 04:38 AM

Hey, gotta give credit when it's due... A good close fight till Prust got tagged, Looks like Gazdic made sure Prust was alright at the end, is so, he's alright in my book.

Posted by braindog1017 on October 11, 2013 at 01:08 AM

I don't know how anyone can watch that fight and not say Prust lost decisively, although in competitive fashion. Prust is as tough as they come but he fights way too wide open and against big, fast guys like Gadzic that's not a sound strategy. Good scrap though.

Posted by kkdowning on October 11, 2013 at 10:55 AM

That was some shift by Gazdic. Crushing check and then a big TKO win over a real pro in Prust.

Posted by grocerystick on October 10, 2013 at 10:44 PM

Nicely done Gazdic. On a team as soft as Edmonton was last season I can see why he has become a fan favorite...

Posted by bajo39 on October 11, 2013 at 07:29 AM

Gazdic with a set of Parros' skates on early, gets himself vertical enough at the end to find Prust's chin and the hockey KO.

Posted by ironbar44 on October 10, 2013 at 11:10 PM

always loved PRUST but the pounding he has taken the last few years , has taken its toll

Posted by staceyb on October 11, 2013 at 08:18 PM

Gaz caught him a good one at the end. You don't see Prusty lose many like that. Maybe he was gassed.

Posted by King of Goons on October 12, 2013 at 07:27 PM

There's this myth going around that Brandon Prust is actually a good fighter. A lot of people on this site have drastically overrated this guy. He does have balls, as he'll fight practically anyone, but he doesn't win too many of his fights and all he ever tries to do is wrestle players by their jerseys into uncompromising positions and then try to land a few punches to win the fight. This technique is not only boring to watch from a fight fans perspective, but it doesn't work too often for Prust. Prust is a poor mans version of Ryan Clowe. Guys like Gazdic will beat him senseless time after time. I hate to break the news to Prust lovers of this site but the guy is simply NOT a good fighter. In fact, he's a lot closer to being a human punching bag than a legitimate enforcer. TKO for Gazdic over an overmatched, and drastically overrated, Brandon "Punching Bag" Prust.

Posted by Behn Wilson on October 10, 2013 at 10:42 PM

A bouncy Gazdic uses the spring in his step to spin his way to a fight ending TKO against a legitimate tough guy in Prust Impressive in a "mini-Semenko" kind of way

Posted by Quiop on October 10, 2013 at 11:08 PM

clear draw no winner, no one really landed a punch....prust could have ended that fight 2 time when gazdic felt down he could have just wrestling him down and the refere would have no choice but to ended it. But he give the kid a chance and got push down no real punch landed

Posted by SouthPaw017 on October 11, 2013 at 04:17 AM

I've always liked Prust for his heart and he'll take on anyone, always giving up size..... I just don't like his current uniform. Prust kept it close and showed some strength yanking Gazdic around, but got tagged on the chin in the end.... Good bout, but Gazdic with the one punch TKO.

Posted by ssully1618 on October 10, 2013 at 11:34 PM

case of the wobbles. gaydic win

Posted by chrisimator on October 10, 2013 at 11:39 PM

Prust dominated the fight just a lucky right at the end

Posted by cible on October 10, 2013 at 11:49 PM

Anyone who thinks that's a tko doesn't know the definition of it. Prust always a willing combattant to come to his teammates defense. Never picking his opponent and usually giving up size, Prust gives a valiant effort but comes up short in the end. Parros absence is really felt, with probably the smallest team in the league, cause only his presence brings more respect from opposing teams. They will likely take less liberties at the habs smaller players with him in the lineup.
