Prust tries to get the drop on Rypien, but he misses with the quick one. When I was a kid, the crusty, old dude that taught boxing in PE said, " Don't drop your hands. Throw a punch and bring your hands back to your face to protect against the counter punch" just like Rypper did at the end of the fight!

And the Rypping Train just keeps chugging along. Where will it stop next?

Rypien is quick and precise with his punches! Beats a very good fighter in Prust here. Excellent scrap

Prust did pretty well against a more skilled fighter. Still gave it to Rypien on punch count.

Easy win Rypien. At least Prust didn't need the linesman to save him like the last time these two fought and he got up after being knocked down by one of Rippers left hands. Not too sure what you guys are talking about when you say that Prust was at the end of his shift. He came off the bench which was closest to the Vancouver goal, threw a late hit on that ***** Mitchell behind the Nucks net and then him a Rypien started fighting. If he can't take a 12 second shift without being tired and then having to fight a guy who was himself already out on the ice then he shouldn't be in the NHL, or in any league for that matter. Quit with the excuses. I can see how you Flamers fans would be worried about a change in momentum with a 5 goal lead after that dibacle in Chicago the other night. I hope some of you hung yourself after that game.

As for Bruiseyoureye, do you even watch hockey? You gave the fight an easy win for Prust??? Even the Calgary homers knew that Prust lost that fight. And then you proceed to call him a spot picker. Get your head out of your arse dude. The last thing that Rypien is, is a spot picker. If he was a spot picker then he would have went after one of the Flamers skill players and not one of their so-called tough guys. Who would you rather have him fight jackass? Nigel Dawes maybe because there almost the same size.

Rypien retains the middleweight crown by decision ... but again a clean hit and somebody jumps gets jumped - when did the NHL become a no-contact league???

Good scrap. Rypien gets the win.

Closer than their last one but Rypien still gets the win IMO.

Great boxing skills for Rypien, nice range of punches and good defense. This guy can def be considered in the top 3 of the middleweights in the league. That being said, win for RR over a decent fighter.

Prust did alot better than I thought he would.
Rypien didn't get his usual jump but gets the win.

Rypien's blocks are sweet. This guy is legit

Does this mean Prust is going to be third time lucky? Rypien wins.

Nothing real solid... mostly head slips.

Rypien dominated the fight although Prust was game and ready to fight.
Good bout.
