Middleweight AA hangs tough against a good heavyweight.

Posted by dangerray on February 21, 2013 at 12:11 AM

Asham and the NY Rangers need to step up the toughness.

Posted by jade on February 16, 2013 at 12:43 PM

Good throws, some landed. Thanks for playing. But irrelevant.

Posted by 16Turk on February 16, 2013 at 06:41 AM

No damage done by either player. Both players have big hearts but nothing to write home about.

Im sorry I'm calling this fight a draw.

Posted by fernben8 on February 15, 2013 at 03:02 PM

Wow...good intensity on those punches. Had Boulton slightly ahead till Asham appeared to have tagged him at the end ( judging by the reaction of Asham and how the linesmen jumped in ). Two good warriors and a DRAW.

Posted by glovesroff on February 15, 2013 at 10:24 PM

Not a fan of Asham, but he presents himself well in this one. Gotta go draw as not too many hard ones found a landing spot.

Posted by SouthPaw017 on February 15, 2013 at 01:07 AM

Great fight.... Boulton with the edge as with his height, he's just hammering down on Asham, who hung tough as always.

Posted by kkdowning on February 16, 2013 at 08:20 AM

Wanted to give it a draw (being a Ranger fan), but giving slight edge to Boulton -- who apparently greased his gloves before the game as they came off with speed.

Posted by well2258 on February 18, 2013 at 04:44 PM

All the punch landed on the helmets. Had they taken them off it might have been a good fight.

Posted by billy jack on February 14, 2013 at 10:16 PM

eb early asham late.the camera angle was blocked by refs on one of ashams smushers.

Posted by Kordic64 on February 14, 2013 at 09:13 PM

Another good tilt. Draw. Brutal camera angle. C'mon dolts in the bus.

These two men stood toe to toe and threw bombs. Great Fight...one of the best of the year. Couldn't pick a winner. Draw!

I love what AA brings to a hockey club. He can fight and play the game. He would make a good Bruin!!!!!!!!!!!! IMHO.

BOULTON but not by a lot

Posted by probie4life on February 15, 2013 at 02:34 AM

boulton with the win. didnt look like asham landed a shot. boulton almost folded him up with 1 punch that landed flush

Posted by paddyd on February 15, 2013 at 03:53 PM

Boulton with the W, Ash had a reach disadvantage.

Posted by plp1676 on February 14, 2013 at 09:17 PM

Asham's only effective shot came at the end of the bout, Boulton was more active and accurate it seemed to me, however hate the view of the fight MSG network provided. Seriously can we get a overhead without players skating bye blocking the view.

Posted by nait on February 15, 2013 at 07:57 AM

Boulton by 1 punch otherwise a draw

Posted by 777Big on February 14, 2013 at 08:53 PM

For the ones that landed, Boulton had more.....

Posted by DARCY T on February 15, 2013 at 07:44 AM

asham did very well in this fight after 2 disappointing fight earlier this season.i think he landed the best punch of the fight at 0:29 but boulton landed more.edge boulton.im fine with a draw too...and 6

Posted by Don Berry on February 14, 2013 at 09:19 PM

EB took some but gave more. Solid 6

Posted by BillyBuzzBomb on February 16, 2013 at 09:45 AM

Kudo's to the chin of Asham, which takes a couple and remains standing.

Posted by von_swine on February 14, 2013 at 11:41 PM

AA really gets back into this one at 0:27 only Boulton didn't wither and repaid the favor w/some heavy cylinders... Im givin the nod to Boulton but it was up for grabs the whole way,... good tilt from two vets...#36 FTW.

Posted by Jellyczar on February 14, 2013 at 09:17 PM

Hard punches traded back and forth.... Boulton threw more and landed more, Asham did a decent job, too. Edge to Boulton

Posted by bruins rule on March 03, 2013 at 11:07 AM

boulton with the edge in this fight.

Posted by kimo_coyote on February 14, 2013 at 11:24 PM

As much as I like AA, have to give edge to Boulton but certainly not by much.

Posted by jnk07899 on February 15, 2013 at 10:24 AM

I wan to give it a draw, but from my judges eye, Boulton won.

Posted by RogerNYLA on February 16, 2013 at 08:55 PM

Good action. Boulton got off a little quicker, so he was able to score more.

Posted by koolpunch on February 14, 2013 at 08:56 PM

Bolton was solid and hung in for the W.

Posted by JethroGilles on February 15, 2013 at 09:32 AM

Can people please stop staying this was a middleweight vs a heavyweight... Asham is 5 lbs lighter than Boulton which makes them the same weight class. With that said Asham stayed in the fight but Boulton was the agressor and connected with more shots therefore he is the winner in my opinion

Posted by AC1026 on February 15, 2013 at 08:28 AM

Good fight both trading punches. I think Boulton got the best of it...He gets the W

Posted by bammer24 on February 14, 2013 at 08:55 PM

Boulton with some very serious punches landing.Much more than Asham.

Posted by casualphan on February 15, 2013 at 02:14 PM

Wish we still had ya in the Burgh AA.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 16, 2013 at 08:20 PM

Good fight. Boulton was on a mission and Asham was more than willing to participate. Both guys were throwing bombs and Asham landed some dandies, unfortunately Boultons size and strength were a bit too much.

Posted by kyhammer on February 15, 2013 at 10:51 PM

Boulton throwing hard and often. Not really very close here.

Posted by Bronson on February 15, 2013 at 12:24 PM

Boulton with a slight edge, decent bout

Posted by Behn Wilson on February 15, 2013 at 08:29 AM

Boulton starts throwing before Asham even finishes his cross check and makes the most of an unorthodox but effective back of the neck jersey grip using his 5 pound 2 inch size advantage to it's maximum potential as he squeaks out a slight edge in this nasty "lancer la vache" high-octane tilt

Posted by ferdip on February 18, 2013 at 01:12 PM

You got to give Asham credit for sticking up for a teammate who got nailed along the board and then fighting B oulton. Asham hung in their with Boulton, got a few shots in and didn't get killed

Posted by dapwas20 on February 15, 2013 at 06:36 PM

Slight edge Boulton, AA will not let Bolt get the jump next time around...This a return bout to look forward to.

Posted by King of Goons on April 12, 2015 at 12:02 PM

An Islander beats up a Ranger. Typical.

Posted by bulldogs on February 14, 2013 at 10:04 PM

Boy these guys can throw. Boulton is one mean dude and I think Asham realizes he's in a serious fight. Edge Eric

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on February 14, 2013 at 09:06 PM

edge boulton, great fight, asham hung in there real good, very exciting.

Posted by Madhouse27 on February 14, 2013 at 11:48 PM

Hats off to both men. Gotta call that a hard fought draw.

Posted by HchVegasNHL57 on February 14, 2013 at 11:11 PM

Looks like asham is gonna have to hang with more heavies if the rags insist on dressing the soft lineup they are atm. Does a good job here tho. Draw /maybe edge boulton. Good tilt (7)

Posted by capsfan33 on February 20, 2013 at 09:35 PM

Aa looked good against a hw.. Easily a draw..

Posted by ISUSigTau921 on February 15, 2013 at 09:23 PM

Wow.....this is how hockey fights need to be fought

Posted by Manunder on February 17, 2013 at 02:04 AM

Loved Asham when he was an Islander hate to see him in a rag uniform..to much heart to play on that team....Win Boulton

Posted by Oil Can Henry on February 15, 2013 at 03:34 PM

....clear decision win to Boulton,...landed the better punches and more often. Has been underated through-out his career, but always gives an honest, capable account of himself when he drops the gloves,...

Posted by retired2006 on February 14, 2013 at 10:25 PM

Boulton got it a few shots, win Boulton.

Posted by ToughGuyWayne on February 14, 2013 at 11:21 PM

Boulton seems like he has been around forever and he's still getting the job done. Underrated fighter and very tough guy.

Posted by chad420 on February 15, 2013 at 09:59 AM

win Boulton...2 good bouts 2day...nice

Posted by staceyb on February 14, 2013 at 08:52 PM

Eb and flow, back and forth, advantage mostly Bolts; at around :43 it looks like AA gets in the best shot. Draw.

Posted by sedinfan on February 14, 2013 at 10:54 PM

Good scrap, edge Boulton for sure.
