Stafford, apparently angry with losing the fight, landed a pretty solid tea bag after hartnell fell

Dirty hit by Hartnell. Good for Staff stepping up. Stafford took a good shot. Hartnell lucky John Scott wasn't on the ice.

Hartnell with the win, but props to Stafford for taking him on.

Typical Hartnell fight. Only go if its a non-fighter or someone smaller, Throws a couple shots and falls down.

Hartnell eaisly but seeing Stafford stick up for a teammate is a plesant suprise

I'll give Stafford credit for taking on Hartnell here but he took a few early but tried to come back but the takedown at the end wasn't enough to overcome Hartnell's early edge.

Hartnell lands the punches but loses his balance at the end, Stafford gets the take down but nothing of substance. Gotta give this one to Hartnell, with no second thoughts.

Drew Stafford in a fight? Hartnell's right should have launched his noggin into the first row of seats but he hung in there.

Gotta say I'm anxious to see the first Sabres-Bruins game at Boston Garden. The Sabres look tough this year with Ott, Kaleta, Foligno and company but now they have John Scott as a nuclear deterrent.

Hartnell with the win -- surprised there was no boarding call on the hit

I think Lindy Ruff had a chat with this team in the last week about NOT being pansies. Unfortunately, the side effect is that Stafford now thinks he is in Rochester, Minnesota selling medical equipment. The Fro with the easy win.

Not sure why they talked Hartnell up quite that much. They are about equal in fighting prowess if not equally sized. Hartnell takes the fight but it certainly wasn't dominance and the end I would have wagered on - Hartnell losing his balance - occurred like clockwork.

It"s always a shame when I see the name Hartnell on the fight log and then not see him get his richly deserved punch out.... I await him to not spin out or fall when the going gets tough and someone please knock the red off his puss....

Hartnell should have been called for boarding. He had the pper hand in the fight until he was somewhat off balance and got helped to the ice with a Stafford punch....

Stafford stepped up for his teammate but he's not a fighter. Hartnell wins fairly easy but then again, he should.
