Draw... nobody landed anything of note. Good on Volpatti for giving Winchester a re-do after dropping him back int he pre-season. Respect.
Sloppy draw, with Volpatti doing the right thing, about half-way through.
Volpatti being a stand up dude, gives Winchester a rematch and this time the fight is much closer that the one punch knockout that Volpatti handed Winchester in the preseason. Clowe Satubi, what kind of inside info do you have that would make you think that Volpatti doesn't seem like the kind of guy that would give Winchester a rematch? Is this based on the huge 35 game volume of games that Volpatti's played in the NHL? Maybe you should take another look of the preseason fight between the two and maybe you'll notice that AV could have fed BW with a couple of more shots after he dropped him but he was classy enough not to do so. So, between that and giving him a rematch, your comments are proven idiotic.
A lot of missed punches.Meh...
In this tilt Winchester makes sure that he gets Volpatti at length where he can,t be reached and earns the win!
People have very narrow minded views of how a fight is won haha i call this a definate draw. Volpatti actually lands more punches than Windmill Winchester in this bout but im sure he's just happy he didnt get knocked out again ;) If u watch Patti's fights hes a very classy fighter and will not cheap shot even if the guy hes fighting cheap shots him. Dont understand why Vancouver is considered the most hated team, they are right up there with Detroit in my opinion for the cleanest team in the league. Mark Recchi can go screw himself, hes also the guy who said Pacioretty was faking his injury when Chara hit him.
0:36 was that skank clapping or imitating Winchester's punches?
Winchester was loaded for bear in that one. More impressive is how Cory Schneider has wrestled away the #1 goaltender slot from Roberto Luongo.
some revenge for Winchester after the KO Volpatti gave him in the preseason.
In giving up 4 inches and 40 lbs I think Volpatti did ok.
A little squirrelly throughout the fight, but I guess that's because their on ice. Winchester easy win, could have been much worse had he been able to control himself a little better. Winchester and a 5
winchester gets the win in this fight.
If this were basketball, Volpatti was shooting a lot of airballs, whereas Winchester was at least hitting the rim. Giving props to Aaron for not punching when Winny was down, Will also give benefit of the doubt to Winchester that he at least tried to pump the brakes on his punches when Volpatti was jersey'd over his head. Win Winchester.
Winny came thru at the end, Volpatti fought better though.
nice move by volpatti to let winchester up and not to pound on him.i would call it draw at that point....not many punches landed by either guy but winchester controlled the 2nd half of fight and i think he landed some rights.slight edge winchester and 6
Winne got the win, but Volpatti still owns him from last time. Winne knows now he can't rush in. Props to Volpatti for not hitting him when down. 1.5-1.
No Doubt Winchester won...Not seeing where Volpatti let up??? Both were game and I like the respect of the Re-do by Volpatti.
Winchester easily wins this fight. Volpatti won win it didn't mean anything. Have the sissy boys playing for Vancouver won any fights this year?
Winchesters straight arm, composed approach, allowed him to land good punches between Volpatti's flurry of misses. Then Winchester finishes with a sloppy flurry of his own....
first fight in a while for both these guys, winchester rag dolls Volpatti most of the fight. Volpatti falls on Winchester but lets him get back up. Winchester then rag dolls him and beats him up. Not bad tilt and a win for Winchester.
Winchester had abetter fight this time. He got off balance but righted himself and gave Volpatti a good fight I give the fight a 5.0 not great but good
Winchester needed this fight and he got it with a flurry of punches for the win.
Winchester comes back to take this one.
Easy win for WInchester. In response to Greatmurray who said "Have the sissy boys playing for Vancouver won any fights this year"? Yes, I think we won one, but we win at least 3 a year out of about 50 or so, so don't give up on us yet.
Wow Winchester destroyed him. Glad to see him doing well with San Jose.
can't wait for round 3...a win each and this one looked fierce! Haymkers all the way! Good tilt!
that was definatly owed
Volpatti let Winchester up when he could have pasted him back into koo koo land like he did in pre season. Unlike that coward Lucic who enjoys punching opponents when their down.
No winner here - Sweet little slap fight with nothing landing - That was funny!
draw... volpatti let up when winchester was down.. but winchester keep punching when volpatti was down.. mmmmm 6'1 vs 6'5... easy reach advantage
jesus, could winchester be more inaccurate with most of his punches??
Volpatti got the better of punches... less... yes, but got the better and all Winchester did was push him around and knock him off his feet DRAW see below: http://3.cdn.nhle.com/canucks/images/upload/gallery/2011/11/134140766_slide.jpg
ha ha ha Valpatti hit Winchester about 10 times! In the shoulder! ha ha ah
Winchester with the win, not quite making up for the pre-season fight though
Winchester zeros in on Peppermint Patty
Nuck homers can rationalize all they want...this was an easy win bordering on a total beatdown for winchester. Didn't notice Patty letting up when Winchester slipped either. Sadly for Patty, he seems to be one of the guys fated to absorb the rest of the league's dislike and contempt for the roster of pansies and cheapshot artists iced by the Capukes on a regular basis.
Winchester gets his revenge.
Some might disagree, well most, but I been watching this fight over and over and to me it doesn't look like Volpatti let up on Winchester when he fell down. Right when Brad fell, Volpatti looked to unload but also slipped (notice his left leg) and right when he regains his balance he also regains his momentum and swings away immediately. Anyways, Winchester with the better punches and gets the decision in this rematch. Volpatti doesn't strike me as the type to give someone a second chance, especially after the first time he TKO'ed them.
