Familiar ending with Chara's arm cocked while he towers over a crumpled opponent...

Koolpunch nails it. I've always admired Regehr from his Blazer days, but Chara is an absolute Titan.

For the love of Gaustad, man!
First punching Chara!!!???
What did you expect!?

Moramike identifies the correct opponent,
while StaceyB makes an excellent John Scott point, and offer.

Regehr was game but he was blown away by the size and strength of Lurch Chara. If I'm Darcy Regier I'm on the phone to Stan Bowman to offer a fifth rounder for John Scott to have him dress the next time these two teams meet.

The only thing good about that fight was that a class act like Regehr didn't get killed.

Robyn did better than expected -- kudos to stepping up, he looked like a small child next to Chara. Gotta like Gaustad. That was legitimate hit on Marchand, BTW

Unfortunate random pairing for Regehr...and temporary insanity for throwing the first punch at Chara.
At the end of it all, little Napolean (Bergeron) started the whole thing and came out without a scratch.

Gotta love the Bruins for their toughness !

To everyone out there who thinks that Chara doesn't stand up to anyone his size- it should be noted that Chara is a Norris Trophy winner and one of the best d-men in the league, so why SHOULD he fight some knucklehead that can't skate? What are John Scott's or Steve MacIntyre's career point totals? Chara's much more valuable on the ice. And I'd argue that he is the toughest SOB to fight against in this league. Earlier in his career he took on some giants, including Mitch Fritz, who is downright scary (Think a slightly heavier Randy Johnson), and he fared pretty well. Google: Koci Chara blood.

Bush league Crap from the stanley cup Champs GREAT BIG APE of a captain!!!!
Chara was mugging him behind the net and they slid out abit and Chara shed or tried to shed the elbow pad......Man I woulda tried to land the first one also cause that was probably the best chance of not taking a beating and He knew it was a matter of time before Chara started throwing

the ******* was a slang term referring to multiple cats or multiple vaginas starting with a 'p' ending with an 's' and has 'ussie' in the middle, rhymes with russies, Sean Connery would pronounce it pushys.

Chars with the win. But the biggest winner was Marchand who didn't receive a roughing call for his swipes in the scrum.

Chara is way too much for Regehr to handle (or practically everyone else in the league)
Posted by koolpunch on Nov 23, 2011 at 11:33 PM agree disagree
I wondered if Regehr would just hold on and not encourage Chara....but then it was Regehr who threw the first punch.....followed by a series of glancing blows from Chara as Regehr uses the 'bob & weave' defense.

Familiar ending with Chara's arm cocked while he towers over a crumpled opponent...

McQuaid throwing punches at all comers!!

As for the fight, a Chara win

Not only did Buffalo lose both fights, they also lost the game

And for the Chara haters out there, take a look at who he's fought over the years; Laraque, Brashear, Langdon, Cairns, Neil, Ivanans, Koci (whose face he actually broke) to name but a few! Just because he doesn't fight every heavy in the league does not by any means make him bush league!! He paid his dues in terms of fighting when he entered the league and has had a 10 fight season in the past so stop trying to hate the big man!!
