Could have been a good scrap, had they had the chance to open up,

but, in good conscience...

I still can't give a win for a ground punch...even if Avery is the recipient.

Avery with his patent first quick punch attack but he was going up against the experienced fighter Clarkson who ducked and came back when Avery bailed out down to the ice. I'm surprised Avery didn't take on Andy Greene or Mattias Tedenby who are more his usual speed.

I don't promote smoking a guy when he is down, but my rules change with Avery.

Ya know I was going to write before i watched......I saw a 2.9 rateing and was guessing Avery somehow went down......To bad for me I didn't eh!!!!!

That boy can skate and has Balance but he drops his mits early to look like he's going to go and not afraid and then lets the momentum carry him forward and down from his first punch......HE's a FAKE!!!!!! That's why he never gets it handed to him!!!!!! He shoulda stayed in Hollywood SCUZ he is a good actor

I think the linesmen enjoy seeing Avery get hit when he is down. He tried that quick punch but it backfired. Too bad Avery couldn't stand in there to get more of a beating.

What a shock. "Fashion Week" tries to get a quick shot in early and then ducks and covers. Doesn't want to get his face swollen, when he sits by the runway he needs to wear his high fashion geek glasses.

Too bad Avery did his best "Avery", otherwise, Clarkson would have lit him up. As it was a couple free shots when the turtle was on his back. The zebras should have let it go longer.

You guys hate of Avery is comical and blinding. You wanna make it look like Avery tried to sucker punch him, but it was Clarkson that went after Avery after he punked-out with Prust. Avery was just quicker but missed. The part about him "bailing" is funny too. He obviously lost his balance after swinging for the fences. Only 3 punches thrown (1 by Avery, 2 by Clarkson) and the only one that lands is when Avery is on the ice, so win goes to Clarkson.

Clarkson claimed a couple years ago that he would fight anyone anytime. So why not Prust when he challenged him?

not classy move to hit a guy when he's down.... unless his name is Avery ...
Posted by FotiuNystrom on Feb 4, 2011 at 12:02 PM agree disagree
Hmm...Clarkson refuses Prust invite...Takes on Avery, and pops him a few times when he is down...
Now change the names, same scenario...Avery refuses Clarkson, Takes on (insert Devils agitator du jour) and pops him a few while he's down....ohhh how the haters would be a howlin'....

just sayin'...
