Shelley whipped him. I watched the Flyers telecast who said Shelley didn't fight Carkner before because he anticipated that Neil was going to fight someone once he got out of the box with minutes left in the game, which of course he did. Dean Brown, you are an idiot, questioning Shelley's courage.
The Senators collapse in the third period epitomizes the mentality of that failing organization, which should fire that prehistoric GM Bryan Murray, his midget league coach Cory Clouston, and waive their dinosaur players to bring in some much needed skill players.
BaaNNNerMann Nailed it on the head !!!!!!!
To question Shelley's courage!!!!?????
Well it just goes to show That some people are not TRULEY knowledgeable about the hockey fight game!!!! I'm sure Shelley had his reasons and they made sense to him at the time......Check his fight cards before you start talking smack about a man's courage......It bugs the piss outa me..........Do these guys even know what courage is????!!!!!
Shelley, Prusty and the likes of those men=Courage.......Avery =Coward
Shelley with the win, against the smaller of the two choices offered to him. Of course Neil was going to run around upon leaving the box!! That is what someone like him does when their team gets blown out. Did Shelley not think that Carkner would want to try again??? After being left at the alter?? Shelley WAS lame and picked his spot in this game for sure. Its not what you have done in the past, its what you do for your team in the now....
Thank you, Chris Neil. You made Shelley look like a decent fighter again. Pretty clear that Shelley was saving it for Neil because of him going after Giroux. Worth noting that the announcer wasn't worried about "weight class' when both Ruutu and Neil jumped on top of Giroux after a perfectly clean hit on Winchester.
