A scrum develops the Flames end and the two come out of it with their gloves dropped and ahold on one another. Ohlund throws two rights and a body shot. Phaneuf ties Ohlund up and then connects with three straight lefts. Ohlund misses with a right cross. They exchange short rights before Phaneuf unleashes a flurry of eight unanswered uppercuts and overhand rights. Ohlund lands a right to the side of Phaneuf's head and they wrestle around until the linesmen decide to come in and end the fight. Other Penalties: Phaneuf received a roughing; Matt Cooke a boarding.

Eager gets loose and throws an uppercut inside. They exchange short rights before grappling some more. Eager throws two rights and a body shot. Brookbank pushes Eager up against the boards and throws a right. Brookbank follows up with a right cross that lands. They continue to wrestle around until the linesmen decide to intervene and end the fight.

Right off of the faceoff they drop the gloves and square off near the blueline. They grab ahold of each other and immediately start going toe-to-toe with lefts. Asham goes down to a knee, but gets back up after a moment. They start going toe-to-toe with lefts once more until Asham finally lands one that sends Cote down to the ice. Asham falls on top of Cote and the linesmen jump in as well.
