Gordie Howe Hat Trick Tracker
In the 1950s, a broadcaster combined the traditional name for a hat trick, with the pugilism and fighting spirit of a young Gordie Howe. The Gordie Howe Hat Trick was coined as a term for when a hockey player scores a goal, gets an assist and is assessed a fighting major in a single game.
Ironically, Gordie, the namesake of the stat, achieved the feat only twice in his Major League hockey career that spanned some 2,186 games.
HockeyFights.com is proud to now be the home of the Gordie Howe Hat Trick Tracker.
