Other Penalties: Tanner Glass received a roughing.
Luca !!
Glad there was no call on this one. Parros was loosing his balance on his own and got hit hard in the meantime. Since the only way to hit big George is to hit him hard I am glad that they didn't call boarding because it technically was an open ice hit, it is just bad luck that Parros is 6'5'' and fell into the boards from a hit that was given about 7' away from the boards. And afterall it was also technically a shoulder to shoulder hit. The only thing that Bolduc could have done a little bit better was to wrap George and take him into the boards that way. But in todays hockey Parros would have wanted to fight Bolduc for making him look weak. But whatever, both teams suck and George plays by the sword and he also just died by the same sword he plays with.
Bolduc just earned a spot in the Canucks hall of fame with that hit. Veenyo probably offered him a contract extension after the game.
Uneventful draw.
I am not sure if the hit was cheap or if Parros just can't skate...tough to tell.
after bolduc tried to fight scott last season i thought he was going to kick sbisa's ass.i thought he is better than he showed in this fight.awful draw..... and its odd to read that one "so-called-professional-at-writing-hockeyfight-reviews" thinks this is sbisa's first nhl fight.lame
gave this fight a draw.
Looked at the hit a few times and it didn't look dirty...Bolduc was just trying to knock Parros off the puck and he fell awkwardly. Weak fight..and lame way to how it ended. draw. Have a feeling George will take care of business himslf next meeting...
Sbisa is no fighter, but he did a great job here standing up for his enforcer. Draw.
never heard of either of these guys. hit looked clean. Draw
It will be interesting to see how long it takes Le Gran Stache to go after Bolduc the next time the two teams meet. That was a first rate cheapshot and kudos go to the Swiss kid for stepping up.
damn man, parros got jack-slammed..........fight was a draw.
Rick 16, you need to learn your rules, it doesn't matter if it is shoulder to shoulder, hip to hip or nuts to nuts, it is boarding and should have been a major. Here is the NHL definition: A boarding penalty shall be imposed on any player or goalkeeper who checks an opponent in such a manner that causes the opponent to be thrown violently in the boards. If it would have been anyone else that was hit, it would have been an obvious major for boarding or hit from behind. This is coming from a Vancouver fan as you can tell by the tag, but that was a cheap shot Luc. I was impressed by Sbisa for jumping in there. I have never heard of him, has he ever been in a fight before?
Don't like the hit Props to Sbisa
Any word on how Parros is? For a second there it looked like he was trying to give birth.
anyone else find it hilarious that after every fight/incident they always show the canucks coach and he always has no expression on his face every time?
That was a wicked hit. We all know that Parros is going to destroy Sbisa next time the ducks see the canucks.
Luca was a prospect acquired from Philly in the Pronger trade. He played on the Swiss Olympic team. Big props to him for standing up for Georgie. I have no doubt the favor will be returned. As far as the hit goes, it looked clean, but unfortunate to me. Fight is a draw.
'i gave 6 for the fun, at least they threw several shots. SOLID DRAW IMO. Both landed same, maybe Bolduc landed couple more.
Draw!
Bolduc with the advantage here.
Let me get this straight... - a guy from Switzerland - rips off his ''visored'' helmet - to honourably defend a fallen team mate. - in, what has to be... his first NHL fight. Win, just for the rarity of the back-story... ...even if it was an uneventful draw. The hit itself, seemed more unfortunate, than intentional, as Magnum isn't exactly known to possess incredible balance capacity.
Sbiza is from Switzerland. You know how you can tell? His hockey stick is really one of those alphorns.
actually Luca Sbisa is italian born from island of Corsica, but he plays for Switzerland
hope parros is alright
crap draw
Draw!
A yawner...no winner.
That was a boarding call whether you like it or not. Sedinfan quoted that very obviously in the NHL boarding rule. Parros did come out after that play a bit later, but he kept his cool... for now. solid draw, but I like Sbisa alot for stepping up for Parros and the team. This series will only continue to heat up as the year goes on.
draw...nice job Sbisa
Can it be considered a guarantee that if you say "BIG [insert player] WITH THE W!" that you are an idiot?
Hit looked clean to me but Bolduc is lucky! When a guy like Parros stays down you now that he is hurt! I'm sure Parros will have something to say to Bolduc next time they play if Bolduc is still in the lineup!
bolduc wins this one narrowly as it wasn't a great scrap... sedinfan what replay are you watching?? that's as much shoulder to shoulder as you can get
bolduc with the slight edge here
Nutsacking nuck homers aside, that was as blatant a hit from behind as you'll ever see. Courage when the opponent's back is turned comes with that particular jersey. Fight itself was a boring exhibition between two guys who can't. What do you think the chances are that Bolduc will have "the flu" or "an upper body injury" the next time these teams play?
It was cheap should have been a boarding. Also at RCKR24 Sbisa is a Duck...... Bolduc is the one that will have to answer the bell if he has any nads
