Boogard with the win but what about the cheap shot against a guy who almost never fights? Boogard is a piece of crap, not surprising all his little biatch's on this site wont say anything about the cheap crap!

Boogaard gave him what boynton asskicking

Posted by BigRob1 on December 30, 2009 at 02:08 PM

Watched both feeds and Boogaard is still a jacka$$ for those last to hits to a guy on the ice. Boogaard has no code.

Posted by DARCY T on January 09, 2010 at 01:21 PM

ok.explain me how boogaard won this fight.cuz i see both of them swingin and none of them landin while they both were standin.DRAW!!!

Posted by Bosoxshute on December 30, 2009 at 10:26 AM

Boogaard shows his true colors here. I'm calling it a draw because nothing seemed to land either way.

Posted by pimking21 on December 30, 2009 at 10:18 PM

jesus christ. boynton didnt challenge him to a fight ya fuckin idiots. he skated by and bumped him after boogie missed. boogie gave him a shot back as he was skating away. turned around, boogie dropped his mitts and boynton shows come courage and goes after the monster. and dont be telling a guy who is an enforcer in the NHL how to follow the code. because none of you dipshits have a clue what a players mindset is like on the ice. yeah he bent the rules, whoopity fuckity doo. lets all cry and say he should get suspended. typical modern day pussy NHL fans that sit around and have nothing better to do then analyze, criticize and complain

Posted by toomuchjoe on December 30, 2009 at 10:35 PM

Boogaard just has size. He really is not that great of a fighter. Slow...... Boynton showed game.

Posted by devil_d0gg09 on December 30, 2009 at 06:31 AM

Boogaard clearly won, but i dont respect the man for hitting another player while he was down.

Posted by scupp on December 30, 2009 at 01:35 PM

Boogard doesnt belong in the Bigs. Knows his role and still cant read/play by the rules. 2 cheap shots while Boynton is on ice, pathetic. Boynts fights everyone including Lucic but Boogard hasnt the sack. Lets watch him get pounded by Parros or Arty next meeting. Boynts is my hero!!

Posted by muddy83 on December 30, 2009 at 03:17 AM

Obviously Boogard gets the win but he's an incredible piece of crap. Like Hayward said "no George Parros in the lineup so Boogard free to run around". I hope the league fines him for punching the ref. Props to Boynton for sticking up for the rookie.

Posted by crosscheck52 on January 01, 2010 at 06:49 AM

I don't see Boogaard as a dirty fighter, but this certainly appeared intentional. This should be a W for Boynton through disqualification. Do the announcers really think Parros would have made a difference?

Posted by The Mob on December 31, 2009 at 06:46 PM

There's character and bravery and then there's just plain stupidity. Nick, what are ya thinkin'? Boogaard, there's no prize for landing punches on a guy when he's down and out lying on the ice. Take up football ... you can't play hockey.....but take out Janssen before you go.

Posted by commander on December 30, 2009 at 11:03 AM

Pretty typical "No Code Boogard" fight........2 shots on the way down...probably more if the refs hadn't intervened!

Posted by Bad Dawg on December 30, 2009 at 01:16 PM

Boynton was lucky Boogie didn't kill him! Linesmen were close throughout. Bigdog2007 should go back to humping the mail man's leg because he knows nothing about the game... A win for Boynton, give me a break!!!

Mr. Announcer, shut your f*cking pie hole already. Win Boogaard.

Posted by gnitterhouse on December 30, 2009 at 08:02 PM

Boogard should watch Probert or Kocur classics. They new when to let up.

Posted by billy jack on December 31, 2009 at 01:24 PM

give boyton his dues he went with him,but boogard hitting him while on the ice was that what they teach at the boogard fighting camp, even though his brother is the punching bag of the A.and fivefofightin is the only really tough guy on here, him and another 5%,piss off.

Posted by dmac1983 on December 30, 2009 at 09:43 AM

Win for Boogaard obviously. I agree that the late punches are unnecessary, and I don't know why the misconduct was issued - maybe for dropping his glove early. The zebra caught an incidental elbow from Boogey, that's why he's grimacing in pain - just imagine how that man's punch feels. I love the ducks' announcers bemoaning how dirty Boogaard is, when the ducks have been the dirtiest team in the league for a few years time. By the way, Parros wouldn't have stopped Boogaard from trying to hit anyone. Should Boogaard not go for a hit on anyone because he's huge? Give me a break.

Posted by acd1 on December 30, 2009 at 03:30 PM

Derek "Bush League" Boogaard still punching when Boynton is on the ground. What a douche.

Posted by EastKing on December 31, 2009 at 02:13 AM

Boogey handled Boynton easily. Props for Boynton for even challenging him.

Posted by dmsiii on December 30, 2009 at 09:54 AM

It is unfortunate that Boogard kept throwing when the man is down, resulting in a punch in the ribs for the linesman. But, anyone who has ever been in a fight also knows that you don't just stop automatically; your adrenaline is up and anger is high, and you just can't always quit because the other guy is vulnerable. I give credit to Boynton for taking on Boogard, but in the end, the best punch thrown was the one to the linesman's ribs. Ouch!

Posted by mandela946 on December 31, 2009 at 06:28 AM

Its great to see Boyton step up to a goon like Boogard but the win goes to the Boogy man !!!!

Posted by Leafs2006 on December 30, 2009 at 10:59 PM

Blazers, thats about the dumbest post ive ever seen on here, Props to Boynton?????? Youre retarded, typical Seniorita fan boohoo emotional tear jerking post, nothin like walking into a suicide.....idiot. Anyway, what is Boynton thinking???? And these announcers are horrible....No parros so Boogard is gonna run around.......Parros's presence would have nothing to do with Boogey's animal prowess...he would ate Stash man too....Booooogard.....the King! Good to see Boynton's mom and dad here to vote for him in this slaughter! Woof Woof!!! Wooooooof!

Posted by shrk33 on January 26, 2010 at 11:00 AM

Boogaard is too big, too strong for Boynton. Boynton took on way too much!

Posted by darkknight9 on December 30, 2009 at 12:51 AM

The additional misconduct seemed overblown... until you see that boogy destroys the linesman attempting to hold Boynton. A two-fer!

Posted by paddyd on December 30, 2009 at 01:31 PM

Boogeyman with the W and a Big L for him also for hitting the dude while he was on his back. That was way out of order.

Posted by brody005 on December 30, 2009 at 01:20 PM

Boogaard would be a great fighter if he showed some class.

Posted by Ripper20 on December 30, 2009 at 02:45 PM

I will say Boogie should not have thrown his last punch. As for the linesman, stay the hell out of there unless someone is getting destroyed or they go to the ice. Boogie usually let's up when his opponent goes down, it's not like he always does that. Boynton actually drops both gloves before Boogie, so he basically asked for punishment. All you Boogie haters, who is your tough guy? Boogie is one of the cleanest fighters out there, so STFU! You continue to rip him for his talent because of jealousy and fear. Jealous because he can kick the crap out of your tough guy. Fear is what he strikes into opponents. And isn't the role of an enforcer to be there to make sure no liberties are taken with the stars? He puts fans in the seats.

Posted by Konsthandlarn on December 30, 2009 at 05:54 AM

Win Boogaard

Posted by Dampland on December 31, 2009 at 12:56 AM

Surpised to see Boogie keep punching when Boyton went down...he must have really pissed off Boogie, or perhaps was still grabbing him even while laying on the ice. Total Domination by Boogie. Anahiem sucks almost as bad as the Canucks

Posted by Dave Brown HOF on January 02, 2010 at 02:07 AM

Anyone who voted for Boynton is quite obviously mentally retarded. But having stated the obvious, I'll give Boynton credit for dropping them with Boogy. He at least did better than what Brian McCrackhead did as he's still trying to remember who punched that ugly skunk haircut off of his abnormally large, yet completely empty head.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on December 30, 2009 at 02:10 AM

Love the Boogie Man. W for Derek

Posted by tonydomi1 on December 30, 2009 at 08:09 AM

The linesmen were simply saving Boynton's life by stepping in. If Boogie was allowed to get that right free, it would've gotten really ugly. That was bull**** move by Boogard when Boynton was down on the ice. He usually has more fight edicate than that. Kudos to Boynton for protecting the rookie with the Stache out out of the lineup.

Posted by seipmoney on December 30, 2009 at 07:50 AM

those refs need to stay the fuck out of the way, let the fight go this isnt football where your not allowed to touch another player. get the fuck away ref!!

Posted by bruiser11 on December 30, 2009 at 07:57 PM

What a pathetic display by the big 1 dimensional goon boogaard, dude can't even play a regular shift, and is a waste of a roster spot!

Posted by nighthawk walt on December 31, 2009 at 05:52 PM

Posted by hal29 on January 18, 2010 at 09:50 PM

wow the only thing boggaard can do is fight and he pulls this shyt, big props to boynton, he actually did ok considering the size difference not sure if that punch connected, but boogy is a douche, none the less win boogy.

Posted by bruins rule on December 30, 2009 at 07:45 AM

boogaard gets the win in this fight.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on December 30, 2009 at 10:46 AM

boogaard beat up on boynton.......but no need for punching boynton twice while he was down on the ice.

Posted by Jmoy on December 30, 2009 at 11:25 AM

Boogaard all the way but I am a bit disappointed in that last punch while Boynton was down and the linesmen were in. My guess is that it was thrown because Boogaard was upset and decided to send a message. Boynton challanged him after a clean missed check and really, Boynton isn't in his fight class and really just tried to hold his arm so he wouldn't get killed.

Posted by shuckthefarks on December 30, 2009 at 07:55 AM

Gotta call it for Boogard but it was a crap shot when the guy is down.

Posted by briggsy on December 30, 2009 at 05:57 PM

Boogard, all the way. I don't think anyone in the NHL could beat him, but it will be fun to watch them try. Props to Boynton for getting pounded.

Posted by schm1547 on December 30, 2009 at 02:07 AM

Clear win for Boogaard, but in Boynton's defense there was no good way out of that situation while still standing up for his teammate. He did his job, and sometimes that job hurts.

Posted by Martell on December 30, 2009 at 07:48 PM

Boog with another beatdown...Boynton ran his mouth and got a lesson. Ducks get pounded on a regular basis by Boogy.

Posted by k.L on December 30, 2009 at 06:27 AM

Oh come on, i've seen boogaard stop when the other dude hits the ice a shitload of times, the ko on gillies for example. This was kind of a shitty move, but making it sound like he does this every fight is retarded.

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 30, 2009 at 09:56 AM

Props for Boynton, just for showing up... but the last ground punch seemed excessive for a guy who was already well ahead on the scorecards.

Posted by kryon24 on December 30, 2009 at 03:34 PM

That was pretty pathetic of Booger to hit him well after Boynton was down and the refs were in. Big Balls Award to Boynton for even doing that. Shitheel award to Boogey even though this was no match.

Posted by Pocker on December 31, 2009 at 10:16 AM

no contest Shot at the end wasnt a big deal

Posted by truej1 on December 30, 2009 at 01:36 PM

The announcers and all of you posting on "Boogaard beign dirty and not letting up" are a bunch of idiots and typical Walt Disney fans. Look at Boogaards fights this year, he let up in nearly all of them before or at the time a player was down. Obviously most of you have never been in a can't just stop the animal instinct of attacking somebody and turn it off like a light switch when you are pumped up and pounding somebody. Fact is, it was not a dirty attempt at a hit, Boynton stepped up (props to him) and got beat down. Almost sounds like Philly announcers here but not quite as bad.

Posted by westphr on December 30, 2009 at 04:26 AM

Boogie man should grow up and fight by the enforcers code!!! Punching a guy when he is down is something Sean Avery would do cause he a F***ing idiot too.Props to Boynton!!

Posted by Jellyczar on December 30, 2009 at 09:37 PM

All Boogaard...... Koivu and Ryan should toughen up or shut up....

Posted by wildfan4eva on December 30, 2009 at 12:44 PM

Ok. First thing for all you clueless dipshits out there, Boogaard RARELY ever keeps punching someone once they are done, unless they have a NASTY history. If you don't believe me, go watch the last fight Boogaard was in against Wade Belak, yeah, that's what I thought. I dare you to watch ALL of Derek's fights and count the number of how many he actually was dirty in throwing punches with a player down....I am guessing you will find about 1-5% of them..simple as that. Look at all the other fighters in the league that DO throw them once an opponent is on the ground; I have seen anyone from Godard, Orr, and Laraque, all the way to smaller guys like Tucker, Ian Lappy, and Cam Janssen. You Boogaard haters must be smoking some crazy shat if you think that he is cheap all the time, or if NOBODY else in the NHL does the same crap, and on a more consistent basis! I can't believe some of you brainwashed slap nutz, just as slappy as these fudge packing soccer loving announcers. PATHETIC!

what was boynton thinking boogeyman killed him.. soon to be in orange and black

Posted by Franchise on January 04, 2010 at 11:10 PM

The Heimer's announcers are such retards. "Boogaard never lets up." "With Parros out of the lineup..." HAHAHA!! Lets break down the BEGINNING of the fight which they seem not to want to show, and which IMO is why Boogaard gave Boynton a few extra shots. Boynton challenges, Boogaard agrees, but Boynton waits till he is lunging at Boogie to toss his mits. P***y move. If you are gonna drop em, do it, roll up the sleeves and go. Secondly, Parros out of the lineup means d**k. The guy gets credit for fighting, but not well. Go see Scott/Parros and Boogie/Parros from this year. Neither are scared of the Captain Morgan wannabe.

Posted by staceyb on December 30, 2009 at 06:01 AM

It must be an awesome sight for Derek Boogaard and John Scott to be skating around together during the pre-game warmup. Any opposing team that sees those two together must be wetting their pants.

The Boogie man dominated. Still no need for the last punch. Props to Boynton for stepping up.

Posted by GCBC00 on December 30, 2009 at 02:04 PM

Boogaard won this one due to just being a bigger/stronger guy. You have to give Boyton respect for sticking up for his team, as that was at least, the third nasty hit Boogaard TRIED to throw. Now, as for the punch after the two went down, you need to actually play the game to know that it is tough to just shut off the switch and stop throwing. Trust me, I do not like Boogaard and have fought plenty in my brief professional career, but if a guy wants to give you a punch while he's down, give one back. F-ck the code at that point. Make a statement. It would be nice to see Laraqu/Brashear/McGrattan/Godard Boogaard more often! Win Boogaard.

Posted by metz87 on December 30, 2009 at 05:21 PM

I have seen far worse beatdowns when a guy is down on the ice. you all are overreacting here I think. Anyways Boogaard on this quick fight.

Posted by 5sprint16 on December 30, 2009 at 08:47 AM

Why fight for a missed check??????? Boynton deserved the extra punch for being an idiot. and if Parro's is in the lineup what is he going to stop, he is 0-2 this year against the Wild. if you are voting for Boynton for stepping up in this fight you need your voting rights taken away. Be honest and vote winner/ loser/draw there are no extra points for being beat. Both Koivu's are lippy and I'm surprised someone has not smacked both of them in the mouth.

Posted by John C on December 30, 2009 at 11:38 AM

If Boynton didn't want to fight he should have stayed away! Easy W for Boogie. All of you guys that are saying that Parros would have kept Boogie in check... come on are you serious??? John Scott would have destroyed him again. Parros can't stand up to either Boogaard or Scott. i would have loved to see him him try though after his cheap shots at Boogie in the corner last game!

Posted by 4doublenickel on December 30, 2009 at 02:52 PM

Posted by jakethesnake on January 25, 2010 at 06:00 PM

I think Boogey just love tapped him to the coconut at the end, just to say, yo douche, if ya wanna man up, then take the skirt off.....C'mon Booger had him from hello!!

Posted by Bruins29 on December 30, 2009 at 09:36 AM

Huge credit to Nick Boynton for standing up for a teammate and taking on Boogaard. And what's with Boogaard throwing punches at a defenseless player when he's already down, and nearly stepping on him with his skate? What a piece of trash. I'm waiting for the day when someone chops down this big freak on skates. The guy has no business being in the NHL. Hell...he doesn't have the talent to play at the college level.

Posted by aedling on December 30, 2009 at 01:15 AM

Props to Boynton for stepping up with Boogie, but this was over before it started. I love it when the linesmen get collateral damage, too.

Posted by tyrone on December 30, 2009 at 11:41 AM

Boogieman with another kick butt fight. Where was that Russian? Hey, do you really think Boogie wanted to fight this Boynton? No of course not. Boogie knows Boynton is out of the league. So the reason he gives him a couple other shots is to remind him to stay away. Had Boogie nailed him, he wouldn't have done that. Moral of the story, stay away from Boogie unless you're in his league. And if you're a ref, look out for the bombs to the ribs. End of story!

Posted by Oglethorpe on December 30, 2009 at 09:36 AM

Boogaard the destroyer! Peace out Boynton...

Posted by Kocur McBrown on December 30, 2009 at 01:02 PM

Domination by Boogaard. That last shot from Boogey was definitely not necessary. Complete props to Boynton for answering the bell. A ton of new-found respect for him. But it's astounding how many maggots are crawling out whining that Boogey is all of a sudden the dirtiest fighter in the league. Give me a f-ing break.

Posted by Blackhawk23 on December 30, 2009 at 09:05 AM

Boogey with th win. Gotta love Boyton, who even trys to swing a bit. As for the late punches they are not really a clean or fair thing to do, but with Boogaard doesnt go out there and take the runs at players and make people fear him he doesnt have a job, the Ducks should know better and should have dressed a heavy. I do hope guys like BLG, Godard, Orr and Belak take note, couse one of these guys could catch Boogaard and then he is fair game on the ice or not. I can't wait to see Rypien try his luck with Boogaard or Scott, when he does I will be rooting for him. I bet McGratton takes another shot to and that could be a good one.

Posted by slshbleed on December 31, 2009 at 08:41 AM

I don't remember Boogaard hitting people when they are down much. Its the last thing he needs to do.

Posted by pitslam on December 30, 2009 at 01:06 AM

You know what if your gonna drop be a man was born and raised in Anaheim but the ducks commentary needs an [email protected]@ beating. Live by the sword due by the sword. That was no where close to a Brash cheap shot

Posted by bloodyknuckles2 on December 30, 2009 at 07:48 AM

Booooogaard. Looked pretty cheap but when a guy is hanging on to my jersey when he is on the ice i will punch him off my arm as well. Gotta give Boynton credit for standing up to the big guy.

Posted by hatandm on December 30, 2009 at 05:01 PM

You know, I don't agree with the late punch but Boynton probably did something to spark that. The announcers have no idea what they are talking about when they say Boogaard does that all of the time. Every fighter has done it, and usually Boogaard stops the fight when the other fighter is down. Why do so many people have a problem with Boogaard? He hasn't even been running around trying to intimidate people this year, he's actually playing hockey. Don't Talk if you don't know the reality of things.

Posted by tpberger on December 30, 2009 at 09:19 PM

I have never seen Boogey throw a punch when a guy is down before and I have seen all his fights. Not sure what the announcers are talking about there. But, he did do it here. Guilty. Boogey still gets the obvious win. The rest of you whiners that say Booger does this all the time are obviously jealous he's not on your team. He missed a clean check and Boynton had no reason to pick the fight. Mess with the bull ya get the horns.

Posted by cheatachu on January 04, 2010 at 04:14 PM

Wow, those anaheim announcers are horrible. Like already stated, let go of the guy's jersey if you are done fighting...pulling the guy down with you is going to get you nothing. "He never does" seriously? Watch the additional video feed. Watch the Boogaard/Gilles fight, and Boogaard clearly lets up, and skates away when he pops Gilles...these anaheim announcers should remember that fight even if Gilles doesnt

Posted by W.Plett on December 30, 2009 at 10:35 AM

Boynton gets his ass kicked after Boogaard misses a CLEAN check. Crappy anouncers is a perfect example of why hockey dont belong in the land of the fruits and nuts or any other warm weather state. Disapointed in Boogaard for taking the extra shot at the end. If those announcers knew the first thing about hockey they would know Boogaard rarely if ever takes an extra shot when the other man is down.

Posted by sizzlechest24 on December 30, 2009 at 06:52 PM

Boogaard in a laugher. Boynton deserves to get throttled after going after boogie for missing a check. Chicken Sh*t deserves it.

Posted by puck_king on December 30, 2009 at 08:27 PM

Boogard raped him.

Posted by Boogaard111 on January 01, 2010 at 03:38 AM

Boogaard wins again!!!! Boynton would not let go of Boogaard's jersey. So what is Boogaard to do? Boogaard did the correct thing. Keep hammering the little man till he lets go of your jersey! Let this be a lesson to every NHL player who ends up on the ice first. Let go of the guy's jersey who just whooped yer butt. This way the fight can be broken up!

Posted by Arjai on January 24, 2010 at 05:09 AM

One should know better. I know Boyton has a jonb to do but, Boogey missed the check! You'de think he'd save himself for a real hit! Or, maybe, he just wanted to get it over with, since it was a practical inevitably. Win Boogaard, again.

Posted by Heavyweight2 on January 03, 2010 at 12:47 PM

Wow, the homerism on this is site is getting worse. Boynton just got manhandled and 7.1 % is voting him the winner, ya he stood up against boogaard, but that doesnt give him the win morons. BTW, The ducks announcers are the biggest dopes you'll ever see. and thats saying something...

Posted by captures.matt on December 30, 2009 at 01:13 AM

Ha, gimme a break Announcers! an extra punch as he was being pulled down by Boyton and the refs jumped in too early, Dont drop the gloves hoping to get protected by the stripes. People are just hating. Boogie is doin all this with a hurt shoulder....

Posted by striker2160 on December 30, 2009 at 08:41 PM

Its obvious that most here where not watching hockey in the seventies and eighties judging by the reactions, back then you fought till the refs stopped it. I guess thats why most wont fight him anymore he usually wont hit you when your down this time he did almost like he was pissed.

Posted by bam932 on December 30, 2009 at 04:03 PM

As far as his teamates are concerned this is a big win for Boynton ... an actual hockey player taking on a gorrilla like Booger takes alot of guts.

Posted by claire alexande on December 31, 2009 at 03:05 PM

Draw as Boynton is able to hold the retard Wildman at bay for the most part, but the punch when the guy was down requires the award of the win to Boynton. Godard needs to have a word with Boogaard, who is getting just a little full of himself. What a waste of a roster spot.

Posted by azjim on January 01, 2010 at 01:27 AM

Oh, this is the first time Boogaard ever hit a guy already down. Bull. He does it often enough that we can remember him doing it. And for you guys who bring up the seventies and eighties, look at the calendar. It ain't the seventies and eighties. Sweaters have to be tied down, just dropping your gloves seems to be an automatic five minutes, no one can pull a guy off you when you lose and you stop when the linesmen come in or a guy goes down. And he had time to stop punching after Boynton went down. It wasn't a heat of the moment thing. He's a dirtbag.

no george parros, ok, how about mike brown, sheldon brookbank, or the russian robot. if i'm not mistaken they were all on the ice with boogard before and after this fight. this is the typical ducks style. outside of parros, cherry pick your opponents, talk sh^t, and throw cheap shots, and then hide behind the officials skirts, but this time that skirt got raised a bit. (if only it could have been the alcoholic bill mcreary)

win boogeyman....good job nick b having the balls to drop em with the big man

Boogaard win and Boynton can tell his grandkids about the time he fought the giant and survived. Boogaard holds off from destroying guys in vulnerable positions all the time so those announcers can clam up. I think the Koivu brothers should drop em and settle this once and for all!

#1) Homer announcers for Ducks: Boogie does NOT have a history of hitting guys after he beats them down. Usually they're smart enough to let go when that happens. If you hold on it means you want more, especially if you're the one that instigated. Next time I bet Boynton lets go. #2) Homer announcers, saying Parros in the lineup would have been a factor for Boogie is a joke. Parros probably felt lucky he didn't have to play that night. #3) Homers, Boogie tried a clean check, and didn't even touch the guy, so what was Boynton thinking when he instigated? Must not have done too well in school. #4) Yapping Ducks as Boogie went off: Boynton asked for it, and while there is a "code" about stopping as soon as the zebras touch you that's generally adheared to nowdays, just review some videos of Probert's or most others just a few years ago: a fight ends when it's actually broken up or one guy lets go and covers up. #5) Bet the intimidated Ducks wish they had the big man!

Boogey with another win, but I was disappointed to see the shots at the end. He typically doesn't do that so I'm not sure why he did it this time. I'll give credit for Boynton for stepping up, but that wasn't the time to do it. It was a clean hit and there wasn't anything to work Boogey over about. Yeah, if it was a dirty hit, sure. Those announcers must not remember when DB knocked Parros' mustache in to the 10th row earlier in the year.

That was an absolute mismatch.

Boogaard does his job and starts throwing his weight around on the ice. Boynton mans up and challenges Boogaard who promptly pounds him to the ice. If more heavyweights acted like Boogaard, then teams like the Wings and Caps could not get away without dressing enforcers. Enforcers are supposed to intimidate as well as police. Somewhere along the line, the intimidation part became a dirty word in hockey. Boogaard continuing to pound on Boynton further adds to the intimidation factor. The Ducks should make damn sure they have a legit heavy in the lineup when they play a team like the WIld. It is part of the game.

What the hell was Boynton thinking? He shouldn't have been fighting in the first place. There is a lot of talk about Boogard hitting him while down, but Boynton kept tugging at him from the ice. I'd keep hitting him too. Koivu runs his mouth as players are escorted to the box, but he cowers quickly when confronted.

Clear win for Boogie. I find it hilarious the announcers call out the Wild for running at Sexton. This is the first year the Wild has started to stick up for it's own players. Boogie is a guy that is usually to stay out of the box - but has guys looking for him. He tried a clean check and missed. Bummer for the linesman.

Boogaard completely dominated this fight. I like how Boynton was willing to drop the mits, but he was the one challenging boogey so he got what was coming.

Boogaard owned Boynton, but cant believe they broke up Scott and Bodie

Posted by DaBomb1 on December 30, 2009 at 09:45 AM

Clear win to Boogaard, only a homer/hater would say other wise!

Ducks' announcers are complete homers! Clear Win to Big Boogey!

Nothing more fun than seeing Boynton getting his sorry ass kicked!
