crappy fight!

Posted by Martell on April 03, 2009 at 06:41 AM

Nothing landed...You don't win a fight by throwing more punches.

Posted by Rabid Wombat on April 03, 2009 at 08:03 AM

win o'brien....but whats a canucks fight without a little hair pulling?

Posted by ogie ogiltorpe on April 03, 2009 at 04:45 PM

Brown sucks win O'Brien

Posted by Gretzkin on April 04, 2009 at 01:21 AM

no contest, but O'Brien could have killed him.

Posted by lovejoy on April 03, 2009 at 02:27 AM

both guys scared of beeing hit kept in distance. Edge O'Brien for nice switch and couple of lefts in the end.

Posted by Behn Wilson on April 03, 2009 at 02:26 AM

Reach wins this one, as the Nucks go 3 for 3. Too bad Rypien didn't fight Brown, and Parros didn't fight O'Brien. Oh well. Next time, maybe.

Posted by OriginalSix on April 04, 2009 at 01:00 AM

Dominating WIN for Shane O'Brien. Too much reach.

Decision to OB. Hey Claire Alexande, I noticed that you mentioned the size difference in this fight but not the size difference in the other 2 Canucks fights (Hordi 4 inches and probably 20 pounds and Rypien 3 inches and 40 pounds). How come? And you talk about OB being a spot picker, Wow!

Posted by Madcheddar on April 04, 2009 at 11:04 PM

Just like the Canucks owned the punk Blackhawks total domination over the Ducks.

If they were to ban fighting at least we wouldn't have to watch Mike Brown anymore. At least he didn't go straight for the takedown, speaking of which, since when did people give W's based on "but he got the takedown"? I have noticed that more and more on this site. What the f#@#k does that have to do with a hockey fight? More often than not it means you're bailing out.

Posted by ETR on April 03, 2009 at 10:29 AM

Gave O'brein the edge, clean sweep for Vancouver in the fighting dept. last night

Posted by mikebflorida on April 03, 2009 at 09:26 AM

Decent fight- give SOB the win

Posted by b.t.wilson on April 03, 2009 at 08:34 AM

Brown is not a good fighter, its nice to see him take a few bops. O'Brien with an easy win here, not a great fight but not horrible. Called it a 5, which is absolutely the way I feel about it - okay fight.

u fuckin canucks fans. u were chirping ben eager for shitkicking bieksa after obrien darted towards the 6 ft guy adam burish. wtf is this? here we are again... a guy with a 3 inch advantage over brown. way to go obrien u scrub. im all blackhawks but nucks went 3/3 on the night for once.

Posted by JoeSchmo on April 03, 2009 at 02:10 PM

O'Brien lands two or three in an otherwise mediocre fight.

Posted by whereRURteeth on April 04, 2009 at 04:07 PM

Can be tough sometimes to judge a fight when all they do is grapple and hang on....but I'd have to give this one to O'Brien here.....he was more on the offensive rather thant he defensive such as the case was with Brown

Posted by Towmater on April 03, 2009 at 03:21 PM

I hate the canucks, but they won all the fights in this game.

Posted by hal29 on April 03, 2009 at 05:51 PM

wht a shocker brown got his ass handed to him again, why doesn't he just give up on fighting and just stick to playing hockey or what ever it is you call he does...win hands down for o'brien

Posted by Awesome-0 on April 03, 2009 at 10:21 PM

O'Brien doesn't fight a lot of heavies (he leaves that to the "big guys" like Hordi and Rypien...)- O'Brien with the win.

I agree with RUGBY here on the fight. who are the idiots that voted Mike Brown winner? Take-down does NOT define the fights' winner. O'Brien win easily. Canucks go 3-3 on the night

Posted by erik5sson on April 03, 2009 at 08:45 AM

OB was a giant compared to Brown, good for brown for steping up...but OB was just playing with him.

Posted by Bad Dawg on April 03, 2009 at 11:09 AM

No contest, Ducks lost all three of their fights..... Nice hit by Ripper

Posted by Sukoshi84 on April 03, 2009 at 09:00 AM

Clear win for OB

Posted by tattooedkingpin on April 03, 2009 at 10:01 AM

Nice W for Obrien

Posted by bruins rule on April 03, 2009 at 08:12 AM

third fight in this game and third canucks win in this game.

Posted by runky on April 04, 2009 at 09:03 PM

Good enery by Brown but a bit over matched with Shane who controlled from start to finish. Easy win Shane.

shane ,as the big uncle D from the Brook says less gabben more jabben.

Posted by dbats on April 03, 2009 at 02:27 AM

Brown Shouldn't Fight, hes terrible

Posted by BigJtheCanuck on April 03, 2009 at 08:15 AM

Good fight, O'brien pulled off the victory in the end

Posted by rocky 1 on April 25, 2010 at 05:12 PM

What the hell OBrian fights with one of the smaller guys when Parros is out there! What a chicken shit this guy is!Parros kick yhis guys ass will you! I give him the win for beating on a midget how embarrased can a guy get!

Posted by bruiseyoureye on April 03, 2009 at 03:54 PM

easy win=o'brien

Posted by infestedcut on April 04, 2009 at 08:44 AM

Mike Brown was fighting with the wrong person.

Posted by claire alexande on April 03, 2009 at 11:20 AM

O'Brien, with big size advantage, lands nothing and fails to dominate a useless fighter in Brown. Keep on picking your spots, SOB.

Posted by azjim on April 03, 2009 at 07:04 AM

O'Brien switching to his left makes a big difference in this one.

Posted by chad420 on April 03, 2009 at 10:40 PM

win O'Brien...BTW behnwilson (the first one in the postings)....rypien would have beatdown brown much worse

Posted by TrueBlue26 on April 03, 2009 at 12:45 PM

Posted by tomales2 on April 03, 2009 at 02:56 AM

Parros should have been there more quickly as opposed to fiddling with the puck

Posted by goody72 on April 03, 2009 at 03:22 PM

size advantage for O'Brien. he gets the win.

Posted by tiburon4 on April 04, 2009 at 12:11 AM

Loopy but good fight: O'Brien with the edge and right hand.

Posted by Rick16 on April 04, 2009 at 02:20 AM

credit to brown for fighting the much larger o'brien but he was overmatched easy win o'brien and canucks sweep the scraps in this one

Posted by pilney2110 on April 03, 2009 at 11:05 AM

brown immediately regrets that decision. obrien better dominate him.

Posted by MashnBangers on April 06, 2009 at 02:27 PM

Brown didn't care he lost the fight, he was just mad he didn't get to do the huggy-bear this time - happy see he actually had to fight a little after dropping the gloves, too bad he doesn't really know how.
