Orr pounded simon....Bottom line.

Posted by orland on November 30, 2007 at 08:47 AM

Clear win for Orr. I think Simon was happy to hit the ice and avoid a real puchout. He is not nearly so tough when he has to figh someone one on one; especially if he can't use his stick.

Posted by SirYohans on December 01, 2007 at 05:40 AM

This bout was only the 2nd for Simon this year. I don't know what's up with him, he's not what he used to be. I remember when he was a Ranger for a portion of a season and he was an animal for us (fighting everyone like a madman.) Why has putting on the isles jersey make him such a wuss. I guess he wants to regain his scoring touch. OH, I GET IT... HE DOESN'T HAVE TO FIGHT NOWADAYS SINCE THE ISLES HAVE SUCH A DOMINANT ENFORCER IN "TIM JACKMAN." (hahahahaha) And as for the fight Winner=Orr... Do the math he's the only one who was actually throwing them. And about that stick... I think Simon just kept it close by, this way he can pick it up and swing it at Orr's head while he's in the middle of taking a beating from my man Colton (the best, most aggresive, and most entertaining fighter in the league.) PERIOD

Posted by Gblaze on November 30, 2007 at 03:13 PM

totally agree with dubie and tuff_guy. simon is one of the best fighters in the league and itz crazy how the rangers ppl talk a whole bunch of trash after simon slips and falls. so i tell u wut..take away that stick and see wut woulda happened to orr. hopefully he gets his in the near future cuz simon definitely doesnt play

Posted by khews11 on December 01, 2007 at 12:37 AM

hahhhahahaah i cant believe the complete jokes that write posts on this site ahhaha i am just in complete disbelief. Please tell me where you purchased the coke you must have snorted when you chirped donald brashear calling him brittany? I am a hawks fan so dont say im a homer to the caps, i clearly think koci is unreal despite upsets with chara and belak, but if you could read or see you would know that brashear is old and STILL top 5 in the NHL. If you didnt need one of those tyke skating chairs in order to stand up on the ice, you would know why people still fear the brash. Dont lip if you cant back it up. BTW clearly this fight is a draw, you cannot determine and outcome since simon fell. Anyone can come back in a fight, hence the brashear laraque tilt from earlier on. So shut your mouth you peewee punks

Posted by bney7 on November 30, 2007 at 11:57 AM

Crap fight . . . .

Posted by jbaker3924 on November 30, 2007 at 04:47 AM

Simon slipped.

Posted by TheCode on November 30, 2007 at 08:48 AM

Simon slipped, no TKO.

Posted by 4thlinewinger on November 30, 2007 at 01:27 PM

Looked like it would have been a good fight. Why not wait until there is an actual fight before talkin' about a clear & decisive winner?

Posted by dubie1989 on November 30, 2007 at 02:47 PM

all you ranger fans and other idiots that say orr dropped simon are bunch of morons, simon slipped on the stick thats why it was right under him when he fell, not one person has dropped simon in his entire career and he hasnt lost many if your tell me that colton orr who was in a close fight with cote dropped him you need to shut the fu** up and pull your head out of your a$$ and analyze the fight correctly, its probaly the same idiots that think georges laraque is the best fighter in the nhl, it just shows your mantality that you cant call an obvious draw, and what excuse do you have for simon dropping orr with one punch in pre season? wait let me guess he slipped, which would indicate why his helmet flew off his head after simon threw a left? this site is filled with jackasses who dont call it down the middle

Posted by Square Man on December 02, 2007 at 06:33 PM

This fight is a clear draw.

Posted by buddha on November 30, 2007 at 06:34 AM

No punches landed and Simon slipped over a stick.

Posted by Nightmare on February 13, 2008 at 01:26 PM

Nothing more than an uneventful draw here...Orr swinging that big right for a few seconds, does'nt connect and Simon slips. Nothing here...

Posted by tigiras on March 14, 2008 at 02:12 PM

Simon clearly lost his balance before things got going. Draw

Posted by dansal55 on November 30, 2007 at 08:39 PM

I'm down with Tuff Guy. Simon slipped, that doesn't count as some TKO or that Orr " dropped him". Just be fair when looking at these fights. Don't have some man crush on these guys. Simon has definitely proven his toughness over the years, and I love Orr's guts too. But this was a nothing fight that could have been a doozy. Too bad.

Posted by Rebel Banker on December 01, 2007 at 10:39 AM

DRAW... simon actually landed better shot but looked to slip on stick

Posted by bostonrs555 on December 02, 2007 at 12:45 AM

OH REPLAY, oh how I love thee.. DRAW, Orr landed only a glancing blow at the end.. Simon slipped or fell, I know this to be true because I watch a lot of CSI........

Posted by Hanse33 on November 30, 2007 at 04:49 PM

For all of you who went with the Islanders play-by-play and truly believe that Simon ''slipped on the stick'' you obviously didn't watch the fight. Please, any of you tell me when the stick moves on the ice... Oh yea, it doesn't until Simon was dropped. Orr wins easily connected with 3-4 good punches. You can actually tell that the refs were asking Simon if he was OK after the fight.

Posted by NateSimon on December 09, 2007 at 03:08 PM

Oh my god, there was a freaking stick right underneath Simon when he fell, give me a break

Posted by mjb_17 on November 30, 2007 at 12:55 PM

If you don't see this fight ending in anything but a draw you are an IDIOT!!

Posted by Zodijackyl on January 20, 2008 at 04:36 AM

Simon hardly landed a hit, short fight but Orr clearly won.

Posted by foiledup on March 01, 2008 at 11:49 AM

Orr witht he win. Threw more punches and landed them.

Posted by corruptedyouth on November 30, 2007 at 05:53 PM

Ok, Simon cannot do anything without his stick. He even backed down from Hollweg earlier in the game because he doesnt want whats coming to him. As far as him doing this for 10 years yada yada. Orr is young, and one of the toughest out there. Give him a few years and i gurantee that's how he will be known. Bottom line - Orr wins. and will continue to do it anytime he gets in there with Simon. Islanders always have excuses.

Posted by slshbleed on November 30, 2007 at 05:50 PM

Simon slipped on a stick. you can see the stick at the end of the fight. At least they had a reason for the flop unlike a lot of fights where they just flop for no reason.

Posted by dropkick25 on November 30, 2007 at 01:54 PM

Not much, even if Simon didn't slip it looked like he was about to eat a big one,how convenient. Took a page from Britney Brashear "OOOPs I slipped again"just as I was going to take one in the face.At least Orr attacks every time and not grab and turn his head.

Posted by NotoriousT on November 30, 2007 at 02:20 AM

Simon Slipped On A Stick But I Still Gave The Win To Orr. 3 For Rating Was A Shit Fight Between 2 Good Fighters

Posted by bradass81 on November 30, 2007 at 10:35 AM

Orr landed a few Simon did nothing. Not much of a fight

Posted by capsfloors on November 30, 2007 at 10:13 AM

Very close, short fight with Simon stepping on a stick causing him to fall down....slight edge to Orr....btw refs were blind in this game as earlier Orr was tied up with Witt and Comrie, Simon comes in and gets in three sucker punches to Orr's face....Simon gets no penalty for his actions....BLIND MICE>>>

Posted by Homicide Hank on November 30, 2007 at 03:19 AM

Even though the fight ended way to early, Orr dominated this one.

Posted by pogo619 on November 30, 2007 at 04:17 PM

Simon isn't what he used to be but he's still tough. Orr is a tough cookie but I've seen him lose multiple times. This one goes to Orr.

Posted by jasonnyr123 on November 30, 2007 at 06:10 PM

kinda a bad fight if i had to pick a winner it would be orr (homer pick!) at he was trying to get revenge when 3 islanders ganged up on him(and the islanders got the powerplay?? orr threw a late hit on comrie, and got 4 minutes while simon punched him like 4 times and didnt get anything) Orr made him point, wasnt a great fight, but orr got the win

Posted by dmk139 on November 30, 2007 at 09:52 AM

Simon bitched out of that fight. Orr was in the process of delivering a beatdown and Simon "slipped". yea ok. Side note, the Islander announcers are just as big of bitches as are their fans. That whole game they were making excuses.

Posted by OnCotessack on November 30, 2007 at 02:25 PM

There was no stick slip. The anouncer said there was, but clearly the stick didnt even move. Nothing major landed, but Orr did land what he threw early, and Simon took a dive. Orr gets the win.

Posted by nypedder923 on December 02, 2007 at 08:14 PM

I AGREE WITH JEPHOCKEY WHEN HE STATED "people say that simon fell from the stick but if you look closly the stick never moves from the position it was in and only moves after when they were wrestling on the ground. COLTON WINS" The Stick Never Moves Simon Loses Colton Wins Clear Take Down

Posted by Jordybats99 on April 01, 2016 at 02:24 PM

All Orr.

Posted by cashman rules on December 04, 2007 at 10:43 PM

Total orr beatdown of simon again!!

Posted by bradwilliams on November 30, 2007 at 10:41 AM

Simon was schooled in this one!!

Posted by tuff_guy on November 30, 2007 at 12:38 PM

Some here are such homers.... Orr schooled him LOL Simon was lucky he slipped LOL I am neither a Ranger nor an Islander fan so I am not biased like some of you tools. Simon slipped on a stick and was trading with Orr... The SLIGHT edge goes to Orr but in no way is it a schooling. As for the patsies that say Simon is not as tough without a stick, he has been doing this for over 10 years and was once known as a top 3 fighter in the NHL. Can Orr claim that ?? Do not think so panzies

Posted by JDForCommish on November 30, 2007 at 07:49 PM

Simon slipped because he had bombs flying at his head. he's not so tough when its one on one. Orr made him pay for suckering him three times when Witt the wuss and Comrie held him earlier in the game. Say what you want about Orr but when he fights he goes for the kill. Any isle fan that thinks Simon slipped on his stick is an idiot. He doesn't touch the stick until he hits the ice. The next to last punch by Orr caught Simon right on the kisser.

Posted by Heavy Right on December 01, 2007 at 08:10 PM

Simon slipped my ass, his skills are slipping at thats that. If you got dinged in the grill by Orr you'd slip too

Posted by redwhiteblue on November 30, 2007 at 01:41 PM

It might not have been a knockdown, that can be debated. A win for Orr cannot be debated.

Posted by 5minmajor22 on November 30, 2007 at 12:59 PM

Simon's not so tough unless his opponent is held by two other guys (or swinging his stick). Orr landed three good ones. I'll give you that he slipped on something. The once tough-guy Simon, is starting to look like a chump with his bush antics including his sucker punches on a tied up Orr. For those who didn't see, Orr gets a slightly late hit on Comrie, Witt and Comrie tie up Orr against the boards and Simon skates in and throws three punches.....Orr is a top 10 NHL pugilist.

Posted by smash1 on December 01, 2007 at 05:33 AM

orr threw more and controlled fight. simon may have slipped in the end but i bet the people who say he did also said simon tko in last fight.both are dangerous fighters.

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on February 08, 2013 at 11:51 PM

Simon says "OW!" Orr put the hammer down.

Posted by Dovermv on November 30, 2007 at 08:21 AM

Sorry Mr.T but that was a win for Orr.( I pity the fool)

Posted by Diehardfan419 on November 30, 2007 at 07:45 PM

I love that isle announcer trying to say Simon yeah right. He slipped on the ice cause Orr clobbered him with three rights. KO--Orr.

Posted by b4mv01 on December 03, 2007 at 01:16 PM

Colton slaughtered Simon in this fight and for the rest of the night Simon didn't really do much of anything

Posted by jephockey on December 01, 2007 at 08:32 PM

people say that simon fell from the stick but if you look closly the stick never moves from the position it was in and only moves after when they were wrestling on the ground. COLTON WINS

Posted by cppalermo on March 16, 2009 at 04:31 PM

Posted by imissbarnaby36 on December 01, 2007 at 06:28 PM

chris simon sucks my irish cock and is the scum of the ear th,.simon got put on his ass, bull shit he fell u pussies

Posted by Juha82 on May 24, 2008 at 04:47 PM

Simon landed one big punch, Orr lands a good punch but SImon lands heavier. Orr didnt land his next punch as Simon just lost his balance. A short/torso scrap with no winner.

Posted by MHAllstar on November 30, 2007 at 09:13 AM

Simon is lucky that he fell backwards when he did...not so tough without your stick in your hand, huh?

Posted by suckerpunch on November 30, 2007 at 08:17 AM

Anyone calling that a win for Orr is a fool...

Posted by nyislesfan45 on November 30, 2007 at 12:48 PM

Every Rags homer came out of the woodwork on this fight.. It was a draw
