Posted by bigmike53 on September 25, 2021 at 06:05 AM

Coxe got absolutely smoked by TC! TKO win for Crowder,

Posted by Gunslinger on April 06, 2007 at 06:32 PM

The announcer said that Coxe hadnt fought in two years. Who would have guessed.

Who the hell is Coxe? Crowder pummeled him. Easy win for Crowder

All I have to say is lol. Poor Coxe got sent into the lions den and got devoured

Ouch! before seeing this, I would have said coxe & crowder were of similar quality, I believe they both looked good in scraps against the alltime heavyweight, Probert. But this is one-sided to say the least.

Crowder crumbles Coxe. To be fair, Coxe was on the downside of his NHL career here. And Crowder was just getting started.

I'm a Devs fan, so, yes, my opinion is biased for Devs players at times, but ..... c'mon, LOL, which 3% of you people voted Coxe as the winner of this bout?

The announcer said Coxe hadn't fought in two years. It showed. Crowder really clocked him

Coxe never bothered with defense, so he was open to beatings like this. Guys who threw 'em fast and furiously like Crowder did regularly beat Coxe.

Has Coxe ever won a fight...

Posted by mikebflorida on April 06, 2007 at 10:35 AM

What a pummeling that was. Crowder was a bad dude back in the day.

A lot of times, a " new guy" comes into the NHL and wins a few fights. The buzz starts, but after a few fights, the good fighters catch up to the "new guy". The " new guy" comes back to the pack as the rest of the league figures him out, his style, his strengths, his weaknesses etc. In the case of Troy Crowder, he was so strong that nobody could tie up his right and he could land bombs. Its hard to make adjustments to that kind of thing. In defense of Craig Coxe and his two year layoff, Crowder was doing this kind of thing to people who were in good shape and had been fighting all along. Had Crowder not been hurt so much, he may have been one of the all time greats.

Lucky it was ONLY a TKO. He got hit with so many rights he was begging for a left. What a ass whuppin'. Maybe Coxe should've tried Chychrun first and then on to Crowder. Man he could punch. Always remember these 2 against Probie.

Crowder absolutely hammers Coxe. I have to say, if Coxe hadn't fought in two years and he's put in the line-up specifically for the reason of offsetting Crowder (or thrown to the wolves basically) whether he's fought in two years or not, he shouldn't have been so sloppy. Coxe grabs the middle of Crowder's sweater which doesn't control either arm, he stands upright with his chin up against a taller, bigger guy and never tries to better his position even after taking a couple of pops early that he could have recovered from. Two years or not, did Coxe forget everything about fighting? Crowder was a monster though. No denying that.

Coxe is infamous for getting beat. Take this for example, this is a great fight. Give Coxe credit for fighting Probert back in the day..I know I never would.

Coxe could have made a ton of money as the spokesman for Everlast...what a punching bag he was!!!

What an epic beatdown by Crowder. Coxe never knew what hit him.

Posted by WHEELS on April 06, 2007 at 06:30 PM

Crowder did not lose many.....well maybe to John Kordic.

A great short bout. Crowder took one solid punch but lands then 3 nice shots of his own with better result as he got dropped Coxe. a TKO-win for T.Crowder.

Crowder easily handles Coxe.

Posted by NJDevil on April 06, 2007 at 10:37 AM

Troy beat the piss out of him and dropped him.

smashy smashy

This stiff thought he was a tuff guy. Crowder did everything but steal her lunch money.

What I'm wondering is who is the idiot who threw Coxe out there after a 2 year layoff, knowing Crowder's rep. At one time, Coxe fought that way, grab the jersey and throw (like in those fights with Probert). Sometimes he did okay (Probert I), sometimes not (Probert II). So he couldn't fall back on fighting defensively. It was setting him up to be pounded.

I haven't seen a beating like that since Rodney King.
