Hey Gang Hope that everyone had a great summer As usual sorry for the annual mid season disappearing act but unless they change some major holidays... December will always be the beginning of my crunch time at work Anyway here's to a great albeit potentially watered down season Case in point... yesterday's middleweight is today's heavyweight as Glass (half full) surprisingly goes to town on the "no fight plan" Oiler and in the process gives Kassian unwanted flashbacks of his ill fated "car vs tree" incident in Montreal

Kassian is fake news!

Posted by Spanky_Jazz on October 06, 2017 at 10:34 PM

Typically the player that causes the most damage to the other's face is considered the winner. This is no exception.

Posted by sedinfan on October 05, 2017 at 01:55 AM

Kassian starts the off on the right track by keeping his record of being the worst pound for pound fighter in the league. He always looks like a fish out of water.

Posted by Humper on October 05, 2017 at 07:54 AM

Kassian gets thoroughly thumped, what a shame. (Welcome back to Behn...at least for a few months)

Glass sin

Posted by Bigtimbrr on October 13, 2017 at 12:26 PM

Totally CRAP...Conner McDavid gets hit and then Edmonton retaliates. Is McDavid that big of a candy boy in the NHL that he cannot stick up for himself? What has the NHL become...?

Good for Tanner glass. Pure 4th line guy, but always brings a physical element.

Posted by claire alexande on October 13, 2017 at 04:07 PM

The always game but not that great at fighting Glass easily thumps the completely and utterly useless at everything Kassian. Why Zack isn't in the manager trainee programme at Burger King is beyond me.

Posted by Nashvillewayne on October 07, 2017 at 07:21 AM

All Glass with some damage.

Miss Tanny G here in NY heart and soul player

Posted by Biggus on October 06, 2017 at 03:59 PM

I like Kassian - always have. Decent player and he never backs down but he wins few and this one was no exception. Bad start and downhill from there. Good to see Behn Wilson back.

Posted by slavv on October 06, 2017 at 11:03 PM

Nice to see Kassian get worked 😊

Posted by SilverSliver on April 13, 2018 at 10:22 PM

Wow, surprised Kassian lost this but without a doubt he did.

Posted by gsrae on October 07, 2017 at 09:16 AM

Good scrap right off the draw. Glass with the win. Rate a 5. Great having Behn back with his astute perspectives

Posted by grepple on October 12, 2017 at 02:25 PM

Why does Kassian getting his ass kicked make me smile? Man, can he catch a punch or what?

Posted by Cob37Jam on October 09, 2017 at 05:21 PM

Glass ties him up nicely. Good to see Behn Wilson commenting again, he cracks me up!

Posted by Mooseslayer on October 10, 2017 at 04:53 PM

Kassian looked like he was hung over. Great to see a SOILER get whats coming to him.

Posted by DARCY T on November 17, 2017 at 06:24 PM

im really glad one of the last old school players like glass earned contract in old school way through pre season try out and was in 1st fight of the season glass controlled the fight and landed the only punches of the fight bloodying kassian...gave it a 5

Posted by bhamill on October 06, 2017 at 12:17 PM

Glass got the better of him. Easily.

Posted by Dammit-Man on October 07, 2017 at 01:25 PM

Kardassian took a beating...

Posted by bigmike53 on October 05, 2017 at 01:20 PM

Glass really busts Kassian open to get the clear win. Nice to see on opening night. Welcome back Behn!

Posted by Great Murray on October 05, 2017 at 08:54 PM

WOW!!! Great start to the new season. Nice bout between 2 guys that are tough as nails. No dancing, no silly ass jersey jabs. Just square up an throw'em. Glass landed more and better. Next time I'd bet on Kassian...just the way it is!

Posted by BigBadBruins68 on October 05, 2017 at 08:39 AM

First go of the new season! Boy, doesn't it feel wonderful to have hockey back? Glass is surprisingly much sharper here, and bloodies a somewhat listless Kassian, who never really got off in earnest.

Posted by staceyb on October 05, 2017 at 08:15 AM

Glass gave Kassian a pugilistic haircut. Welcome back to Big Behn.

Posted by The Mad House on October 05, 2017 at 12:09 AM

It's the first night of the season But the refs are already in mid season form Jumping in far too early... Looks like both fellas had a bit left in the tank Good to see Glass worked his butt off and hang around the NHL Great to have hockey back as well

Posted by geta02it on October 05, 2017 at 12:17 AM

Lid popped, head split... Glass earning that contract

Posted by Bloodbank on October 05, 2017 at 12:11 AM

Did Kassian even dodge one punch? Glass lays down a beatin'. Kassian leaking OIL goes into the shop for repairs.

Posted by SURESHOT27 on October 05, 2017 at 10:59 AM

Did he cut him with a piece of Glass? Not sure but he definitely tanner'd his Glass!

Posted by Hilaker on October 05, 2017 at 12:38 AM

Kassian picked the wrong dude to start the season. Glass dominated from the start, threw the most and landed the most. Glass with an easy win over an easy opponent. Give it a 5.

Posted by von_swine on October 05, 2017 at 01:38 AM

Tanner putting in solid work to Zack's dome as he's in the win column early in the season... #15 FTW

Posted by honest truth on October 05, 2017 at 07:24 AM

Beatdown win Glass.

Posted by Asli727 on October 05, 2017 at 02:01 AM

Kassian bleeding pretty good at the end. Glass with the win. Good to see at least one fight on opening season night. 100 Years!!!

Posted by Tenzin on October 05, 2017 at 07:37 AM

Win Glass.

Posted by Gostars14 on October 05, 2017 at 10:07 PM

Blood makes me hard

Posted by cooldaddy on October 05, 2017 at 12:58 AM

Nice scrap to start the season. Glass all the way.

Posted by idiotstupid2002 on October 05, 2017 at 07:54 AM

Kassian doing his best impression of a punching bag. Nice work guy, you made Glass look like a beast

Posted by devilsadvocate on October 05, 2017 at 12:51 PM

Glass with the clear W. Kassian has never been a good fighter, especially for someone his size. Glass, on the other hand, is very much underrated. Technically, he's only a middleweight, but he takes on all comers.

Posted by BennyD on October 05, 2017 at 09:38 AM

Honest tilt, think the cut on Kass came from Glass helmet, I didn't see anything solid land either way. 5 and a draw. I'm gonna miss Glass on my Rangers, the only "Stand-Up" guy we had.

Posted by defusious on October 05, 2017 at 03:51 PM

Beauty bout to start off the season. Odds were in Glass' favour and he didn't disappoint. Some solid punches landed, a little blood spilled, and a great way to start off the 2017-2018 season. Let's hope this is the first of many good donnybrooks this season.

Posted by XxBaCoNxX on October 05, 2017 at 11:08 PM

Not a bad way to start the season. Good win for Glass.

Posted by Opi Nionated on October 05, 2017 at 08:39 PM

Glass hammered him ...

Posted by slambo on October 05, 2017 at 12:38 AM

even with the cheap shot at the end, Kassian ended up with the short end of that stick, and he deserved every bit of it for being a pussy...Glass can still chuck 'em with most anyone in the league...

Posted by Mounty in NC on October 05, 2017 at 10:41 AM

All Glas and a 5. Great way to start off the season!!!

Posted by rocky 1 on October 07, 2017 at 07:30 PM

Two guys who knew what was in store. Glass with a decisive win over Kassian. Kassian went down like shattered Glass. I see Glass wanted no part of Lucic for sure.

Posted by Sasky001 on October 06, 2017 at 07:08 PM

How is Kassian in the NHL?

Posted by mr. puttzo on October 06, 2017 at 10:29 AM

Zack gets sacked by a senior citizen

Posted by EK65 on October 05, 2017 at 02:57 PM

Hope everyone had a good summer. First fight of the year wasn't too bad. Clear win Glass Let's call it a 6.
