Decent fight. I'm not 100% sure what started it but I believe Smith ran O'Brien's D partner. O'Brien doubled back and said something to Smith, who immediately backed off and dropped the gloves. O'Brien paused for a split second, and then threw them down and skated towards the retreating Smith, who then stopped and engaged O'Brien. They exchange a couple of right hands, eventually the much bigger Smith gets O'Brien backed up against the boards and lands a couple of right hands over the top. A couple landed on the side of O'Brien's head or helmet before the refs eventually stepped in. None appeared to deal huge damage but Smith definitely won, simply by throwing and landing more punches. Huge props to O'Brien for standing up for his teammate and taking on a much bigger guy! As both players left the penalty box, both benches stood up and applauded. Disclaimer: The fight took place at the opposite end of the rink from where I was sitting. This review is not going to be 100% accurate.
