Well, you can't say that Peluso doesn't know his job (which in part is to take penalties). I remember when Bollig was a legit heavyweight -- doesn't seem like he is anymore. BTW, a guy like Peluso should be exempt from wearing a visor. It is not like he is ever close enough to the puck to take one in the eye or anything

Peluso used brandy as a punching bag. Nothing wrong with Peluso sticking up for his team mate.

Bollig's schoolyard bully tactics backfire as Peluso dauntlessly steps in for the non-fighter, Raffl, and proceeds to stuff Bollig with some fresh knuckle sandwiches

peluso was 3rd man in imo...win peluso

' For the Bollig voters, he is the one in the white shirt who got pounded. Peluso is TOUGH.. Is he Mike Peluso's son? '

Ownership by Peluso

Give Bollig credit for the takedown. Peluso can handle himself with the best of'em . Looked like Peluso kind of caught Bollig off guard to get a better position in the original grapple hold and then kept the punches coming to keep Bollig from gaining his bearings . Decent bout. No total hugfest.

Peluso showed Bollig who was boss... don't you dare pick on my team mate!

Bollig didnt land a punch. Peluso ftw 100%.

For all you people saying Raffl has "2 fights to his name"...sorry but you're mixing him up with another Raffl from Austria. This particular Raffl has never played in the NHL before and was willing to scrap because he was trying to make the team and impress...so Bollig going after him was a chump move on Bollig's part. Peluso rightly stepped in to protect a teammate who hasn't fought yet against a guy who makes his living punching people. Good on Peluso for correctly assessing the situation and teaching Bollig some manners. Bollig got sh*tstomped, so I have no idea why people are voting for Bollig as the winner. This wasn't even a fight...it just Peluso teaching a bully a lesson. Too bad no teeth were left on the ice.

Bollig, with a plethora of fighting experience, looks more than willing to take on European Raffl and his history of 2 NHL fights. Enter Peluso, with a fight card as long as Bollig's and a 6'4" frame, and he doesn't look so confident. With good reason. BTW - and I shouldn't have to say this - that 'takedown' didn't mean $h1t.

Love it !! Great job by Peluso in both respects. I just hope Raffl wasn't being an entire asshole, then letting someone else speak for him. Either way, teamates sticking up for each other is priceless

Posted by travist on October 04, 2015 at 03:43 PM

shouldn't that have been third man in?? how can you instigate when two guys are squared off? whatever happened to bollig, he gets handled very easily here.

Posted by Great Murray on October 03, 2015 at 04:55 PM

Peluso puts a pretty solid pounding on Bollig...but I don't understand why...the other Jet looked like a willing combatant. I don't like the instigator penalty so I would have given Peluso '3rd man in' and gamed him. Peluso and 5

Peluso with clear win,but c'mon...a heavyweight enforcer wearing a visor? He does not fall under the new rules that were implemented couple of years ago and shouldn't be wearing one if he intends to continue his role as a fighter.Bullshit tactic by Peluso. If your're going to jump in for a willing teammate, take the helmet off !!

Posted by Biggus on October 02, 2015 at 07:28 AM

Curious that Peluso gets a minor for instigating when Bollig had his gloves off already (albeit for someone else). Peluso does his job here stepping in and does it well. Bollig never really got going and I still think the league has to do something about fighting with a visor.

What a f ucking c unt move by Peluso.

Posted by Mounty in NC on October 02, 2015 at 10:02 PM

Such a bitch move by Peluso..... Raffl was already to fight and Peluso jumps in before Bollig even had a chance to get ready for him. Peluso got the win but doesn't deserve credit for it!

Posted by von_swine on October 02, 2015 at 04:20 AM

look, if you're gonna come in & mug somebody under the 'new' rules, then you know you're getting extra penalties & prolly tossed. so PLEASE remove the lid/visor combo before you start wailing on someone you're 'supposed' to have respect for as a fellow athlete/contemporary.. not hating on Peluso, and am actually a fan of that kid, but you can't Pearl Harbor someone AND leave the shield on.. #14 FTW,..but the 'code' definitely NOT in force here...

Fun watching Bollig get his face beaten in, after goading a Euro (with 2 fights to his name) into dropping the gloves. Get rid of the instigator rule and tough guys won't pick on non-fighters.

Posted by powerforward92 on October 02, 2015 at 06:21 AM

Bollig got his ass kicked!

Posted by claire alexande on October 02, 2015 at 12:56 PM

Peluso wisely ensures Bollig can't get rolling and the helmets take a shellacking in this one. Nice hit by Buff before this started.

Posted by dogginit on October 02, 2015 at 08:26 AM

Don't know why pluto jumped in, his team mate wanted to go and had the gloves off. Not much of a scrap.
