Almost a waste of the 5 minute majors! They spent more time skating in a circle than fighting, and Bass looked a bit reluctant before they grabbed on. I have seen more action when the combatants both ended up with roughing majors. Here are the facts: Bass throws 4 punches with one missing & 3 light ones off Reaves' helmet for no damage. The biggest damage in the entire skirmish might have been to Bass' hand. Reaves throws one solid punch into the neck/jaw bone area of Bass for no damage, then throws Bass to the ice. Probably a good thing for Bass that he went down, before Reaves hit him with one of those heavy rights!

RR goes off the rails, does nada, and loses this one.

Bass with three or four quickies in. slight edge and the win

Posted by staceyb on November 28, 2011 at 05:42 AM

Smallmouth wins on punching power but I gotta say it has to be a lonely feeling standing up all by yourself getting ready to take on a gunslinger like Reaves.

Posted by rericker on November 28, 2011 at 12:15 PM

I was watching the game live and the reason for Reaves lackluster showing was because he was at the end of a long shift and was gassed Give the win to Bass, but would like to see them go again next time I think the outcome might be different

Bass with a rather feminine clap at the end of it all. But maybe its his way of subliminally telling the world he has the clap. Or maybe he is admitting to having a big loose vagina that claps when he walks. Maybe Im reading too much into this.

dust up... Mr.Bass gets the edge only because Smoove Bros didnt throw anything. he's been hurting dudes when he does this year as we all know..whatevs, take ur 5 and move along.

Not much of a fight, Bass with some quick punches before going down. I give him credit but I feel if he stayed on his feet Reaves would have had the better of him. Bass probably told Boll that he had this one.

bass gets the win.

Posted by web1350 on December 01, 2011 at 09:20 AM

Reaves does it again. He throws his opponent to the ice instead of standing toe to toe and fighting like a man.

Posted by fernben8 on November 28, 2011 at 12:11 AM

Never got going... Bass got a few in early and falls as Reaves was just getting warmed up. Only a thought...wondering if Bass falling was self-assisted (standing like a flamingo on one leg) ? Maybe not. Edge to Bass on points.

Bass gets the right going and scores a win despite Reaves taking him to the ice in defense. Ended too early... Not a big fan of all the skating, posturing and long square off's... These guys need to get at it. Although, it does allow the camera men and producers the time they require to find the action...

challenge by reaves but he lost this tilt

Posted by eleketro on November 30, 2011 at 02:49 AM

bass didnt hold back on reaves, he them hands go. i would like to see a rematch in the future. at least it wasnt a hugfest

Posted by Behn Wilson on November 28, 2011 at 10:59 PM

Following a couple of mutual whiffs, Reaves suffers a surprising setback, as one of the league's lesser 'tough guys', manages to land, at least, three decent shots before, inevitably, being thrown to the ice.

short and ended to fast.reaves never got goin.bass landed some solid rights so he takes win.it looked like it didnt bother reaves to much

Posted by dpappas1 on November 27, 2011 at 09:50 PM

Bass had the overhand right going at the end.

Posted by bluesrule08 on November 28, 2011 at 08:54 AM

good fight for bass. reaves looked like he never got a good grip but bass still won.

Bass with the surprising win.

I was rooting for Cody Bass the second these two dropped the mitts, but to see him come up cheering after he lands a few, then slips, not allowing Reaves to throw back, is a bit disheartening. I still credit him with the win, but would rather have seen him pat Reaves on the back and say sorry about that. Hopefully they'll go again in their next game.

Posted by Double Nickels on November 28, 2011 at 01:05 PM

Reaves was gassed going in--yet again. Work the conditioning buddy.

Posted by GreatMurray on November 28, 2011 at 06:39 AM

Bass landed at least two good ones. Reaves didn't connect at all. Good job by Reaves not throwing while Bass was down. Bass wins.

Posted by theSDauncey on November 27, 2011 at 10:20 PM

Bass with the win. Reaves with his first real loss this year

Posted by TommyGun29 on November 28, 2011 at 07:30 AM

Win Bass, anyone can lose at any time.

Posted by flashstorm on November 27, 2011 at 11:16 PM

Reaves is a scrappy fighter, but Bass had some sweet hits until he lost balance and Reaves did not pounce. Kudos for Reaves. Win for Bass

Posted by ThrowdownSJ408 on November 27, 2011 at 10:24 PM

nice job bass! no damage though

Posted by Radiotalker on November 27, 2011 at 10:05 PM

Draw just because it's hard to give a loss to someone who is towering over their opponent at the end of the brawl.

Posted by Oil Can Henry on November 27, 2011 at 11:38 PM

...no win for Bass,...this thing never got started - quit kiddin' yerself',....

Posted by STL13 on November 28, 2011 at 05:22 AM

I saw one punch that landed cleanly, maybe three you count glancing blows. Never quite got to where it was a rate-able fight. Draw.....You don't get a win with three punches unless it's a KO.

Posted by Spazemunky on November 28, 2011 at 06:25 PM

Bass got a few in early and the hit the deck before The Reaver could pay him back any. Draw. just because it was almost a non fight and Bass didn't really deserve a win.

Posted by chad420 on November 28, 2011 at 11:14 AM

draw

Posted by Rags4Life on November 30, 2011 at 01:39 AM

Cody Bass lands the only shots and thanks his lucky stars that he fell to the ice early

Posted by Big_Fat_Dan on November 28, 2011 at 01:53 AM

Bass takes this short bout with the only punches connecting.

Posted by Snoka on November 28, 2011 at 10:50 PM

Slight edge to the small mouth.

Posted by kkdowning on November 28, 2011 at 10:32 AM

Bass eekes out a win -- comments by The DZA are classic (better than the fight)

Posted by pvdrummer2000 on March 12, 2015 at 03:10 AM

Cody friggin' Bass... who would have thought. Probably a good thing he fell down, Reaves may well have come back and slaughtered him.

Posted by muskokadangler on November 28, 2011 at 12:00 AM

This was a complete Bas win.....Im still Calling him ( Reaves) the real deal tho !!!!! He's got sum thunder in them fists!!!!
