I see a lot of swings and misses and not too many that connected. Lots of wrestling. Draw

Posted by DalStars29 on December 29, 2010 at 04:36 PM

Draw. O'Brien hit only the back of Ott's helmet the whole time while getting body shots by Ott. Overall a wrestling match with a few punches. I like how everyone talks like Ott is a dirty player. He receives more cheap/dirty shots then he gives. Watch the Stars play a team that your not a homer for. Top face off guy for Stars, has 8 goals on the season and about .5 point per game average. Productive penalty killer. Plays on top 3 lines and gets all other teams off their game....sounds like a guy everyone would want on their team.

I bet that chick at 1:09 smells like a fish market.

Easy win for Ott against some dude I've never heard of..

Posted by m4rine77 on December 28, 2010 at 11:28 PM

o'brien landed a few nice shots which caused ott to say enough. after they separated ott looked completely uninterested in continuing the fight. win o'brien

Posted by fernben8 on December 29, 2010 at 01:26 AM

Trying to figure O'Brien out... He had the opportunity and momentun several times to put Ott out early , then stops mid-way. O'Brien with the better punches, Awkward disconnect and re-connect.....

I think it is awesome to read the comments about the disgust that most people have about Steve Ott. Clearly he is smarter than most of the teams that he plays against and most definitely smarter than 90% of these posts. Every team in the NHL has a pest or guy that plays that part of the game which tells an educated person that maybe its his job. Love him when he is a part of the team and hate him when you have to play against him. The great thing about OTT he is beloved in Dallas because he is one of the best in the NHL at his job...plus he is a intricate part of the power play / penalty kill and a solid 2nd - 3rd line guy that plays with passion...oh by the way he will probably put up yet another 20 goal season. Ill take the antics and the production over any of the baffoons that occupy a spot on the roster solely as a fighter. Even Barch who is Dallas "fighter" is part of the team in a greater capacity then just to fight. Dirt Bag....POS....LOL. P.S. Ott isn't suppose to win fights but the mere fact that he does fight these guys and consistently gets his ass handed to him as a non-fighter earns my respect. He takes his ass beatings because that what he is paid to do

O'Brien with the edge.

Posted by acmocaco on December 29, 2010 at 10:04 PM

I have come to the conclusion that Steve Ott is incapable of winning a fight unless he is beating up a European player who has no idea he is going to get decked. What a piece of filthy trash Steve Ott is.

weird. o'brien with the edge in the first one, going with a draw in the second one.

Posted by bruiseyoureye on December 29, 2010 at 03:32 AM

ha ha ha ott got tuned up by a complete non-fighter....wow thats awesome........obrien all day and night.

In the landmark case of jackass v. jackass, the jury finds Steve Ott guilty of fighting like a child. O'Brien rejoices: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/3482750451/in/photostream/

OBrien with the win. OTT quit at end like the puss he is

Posted by Behn Wilson on December 29, 2010 at 03:01 AM

Ott runs Rinne, and gets, justifiably, ''two fisted'' for it, by O'Brien. Once he actually got away, he should have just kept running.

Has Ott ever won, I mean seriously What a douche...

Posted by riffraff on December 29, 2010 at 01:43 AM

not that im a neanderthal but i wish this happened to Ott more and worse.

Posted by lb1631 on December 29, 2010 at 12:28 PM

Ott is douche and all he did was throw body shots. What a punk. O'brien with the win here.

Posted by tattooedkingpin on December 29, 2010 at 02:09 AM

Ott getting punched= A good day for me. W O'Brien

Posted by staceyb on December 28, 2010 at 10:50 PM

Listening to the Nashville radio broadcast it wasn't that big a fight but to see the replay it was a pretty nasty bout. Later Ott earned some plaudits for throwing a towel to a Nashville fan who got clipped by the puck sitting behind the penalty box.

Posted by bruins rule on December 29, 2010 at 06:45 AM

shane gets the win in this fight.

SOB

Posted by preds1 on December 29, 2010 at 09:23 AM

SOB all the way, I love this guy and glad he's in Nashville. I'll give Weber a W too for deservedly putting Ott on his arse earlier in the game. What a D-bag.

Linesman need to stay out of the way.

Posted by rforjr on December 29, 2010 at 12:30 PM

Ott with the hug and hope strategy. I think even his own team wants to see him beaten up.

Posted by nbecc1 on December 29, 2010 at 09:51 AM

love to see ott get worked

Posted by DARCY T on December 30, 2010 at 09:11 AM

Posted by mbaumann on December 29, 2010 at 08:56 AM

Can't stand O'Brien, but Ott is so awful. W goes to the mick here in this beatdown. Get out the Paddy Wagon.

Posted by Juha82 on December 29, 2010 at 03:54 AM

Ott was that smaller part here. O'Briewn with CLEAR WIn for better control and landiong more. Takibg over well later.

Posted by moneybags on December 29, 2010 at 02:20 AM

obrian

Posted by rocky 1 on December 30, 2010 at 12:05 AM

very slight edge to O Brian

Posted by Bluetiedown44 on December 29, 2010 at 01:05 AM

Ott up to his normal antics and catches a beating for it. Ott was all into the scrap when it was wrestling and the body blows he was throwing, then O'Brien gets some room to throw and Ott is done. Even tries to escape.

Posted by Jordybats99 on January 01, 2016 at 01:01 PM

Decent Fight. Edge O'Brien.

Posted by Detroit_Caps on December 28, 2010 at 11:10 PM

O'brein controlled this from the start and never gave Ott a chance. . .he should have done more damage a lot sooner to get a clear win, but a win none the less.

Posted by NHO3713 on January 01, 2011 at 12:38 PM

ott is a scumbag, what a loser.

Posted by dorian on December 29, 2010 at 08:51 AM

lol @ Steve Ott. That's five in a row for Nashville. They were very close to breaking into the top four in the conference. Too bad for them.
