Tempers Flare Between Jackets, Sabres

The first half of tonight's Jackets–Sabres game was relatively calm. The second half? Not so much.
Things became heated during the closing minutes of the second period, when Mike Commodore hit Patrick Kaleta from behind. Steve Montador and others tried to get at Commodore but a scrum was quickly cooled down.
Directly off of a faceoff in the third, Cody McCormick made a beeline for Commodore. The two dropped the gloves and McCormick knocked Commodore down with a right hand. Minutes later, Jared Boll injured Drew Stafford with a hit along the boards and was challenged by Montador.
Another gathering of players developed moments later, with Kaleta and Derek Dorsett pairing off. Kaleta is prone to occassional impressive performances and he delivered just that, with a decisive win over Dorsett to say the least.
