One would have thought there was a full moon last night based on the way things unfolded around the league.

The weirdness was no more apparent than in Manhattan where it was Mike Green and Brandon Dubinsky who did the fighting and John Erskine and Derek Boogaaard doing the scoring, scoring back-to-back goals.

Eric Boulton and Matt Carkner squared off in Thrashers–Sens and it was Boulton who did what Carkner was expected to do, outlanding his fellow heavyweight in a toe-to-toe slugfest.

George Parros and Frazer McLaren also met for the second time this year, continuing what should be a season-long battle between veteran and rookie.
