Good to See You Again
Cam Janssen made his return to the NHL fighting game last night. His last bout was back on Nov 24 against The Stache.
The time in between fights was filled with a shoulder injury and some time spent in Lowell.
Last night’s fight was against Garth Murray. Check the fight page for dual feed action.
Quickest way from the NHL to the SPHL this season: Janssen fought Jonathan Tremblay (AHL), Tremblay fought Rob Flynn (ECHL). Flynn’s now in the SPHL with the Knoxville Ice Bears. Somewhere Kevin Bacon is punching something.
In other action, Jody Shelley took on Matt Walker. Not a bad fight, but the next time players drop the mitts we don’t need Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood in the background. Seriously.
Chris Gratton went up against Mike Fisher. Normally I’m not a fan of someone diving into a fight with a visor on, but it looked like Fisher was trying to take his off when the fight started, or at least loosen the strap for it to come off easier. No music played until the fight was over. Keep ‘Em Separated. Ok, I can deal.
Oh, back to Janssen-Murray: they played War during the fight. I can live with that too, but don’t expect it often. It’s a fine to play anything other than Bon Jovi in Jersey.
One last fight of the night was Josh Green and Stephane Veilleux. Don’t have the video for it yet, should be up sometime today.

Flyers stand together – and win together
So when Denis Gauthier began beating on Detroit’s Andreas Lilja for what appeared to be an effort to injure Simon Gagne on Monday night, it was the first time in a while a Flyer stood up for a teammate.
