Contenders Collide

Four of the NHL's top heavyweights mixed it up on Thursday, with some clear-cut results at that.

Derek Boogaard exchanged blows with Trevor Gillies in a rematch of their fateful first encounter five years ago this month. Gillies fared much better this time around, yet Boogaard still came away with a win.

Steve MacIntyre also managed an impressive showing against Colton Orr. Other fights from last night included a middleweight tussle between Chris Thorburn and Arron Asham and a quick scrap featuring Matt Hendricks and Brandon Segal.
