Boll Doubles Up, Thornton’s Run Continues

Make that two fights in two nights for Jared Boll.

After a one-sided tilt against Steve Montador last night, Boll dropped the gloves in a fairly even scrap with Mike Rupp during the second period of Pens–Jackets.

You could also make the case that Shawn Thornton is having his best campaign to date. Thornton added another win to his record with a hard-fought decision over Jay Rosehill, who was seeing NHL ice for the first time this year.

Couple that with notable wins over Derek Boogaard, Eric Boulton and Eric Godard so far this season, and Thornton is quickly making Bruins fans forget that Brian McGrattan is currently toiling in the minors.
